More than a dozen is "all of'em" to you? What part of worldwide don't you get? "More than a dozen" and in "Florida, New Jersey, and California" does not include international Anonymous.

Also take it from a computer science major. DDoS is like learning the equivalent to pre high school algebra...anyone can do it! I can teach my ten year old brother and my eighty year old great aunt to do it.

Saying they nabbed them all is naive and ignorant. I like how Anonymous threads on this site bring many many shills and trolls out of the woodwork.

Isaac Newton should've included one thing in his theory of how momentum is stopped...that ideas cannot be stopped and even if they temporarily are, they inevitably resurface.

They said history is bound to repeat itself. That event in history is started from an idea first.

Yeah, the bickering for pro-anon and anti-anon is starting to get on my nerves.

You have pro-anon, which actually have some semblance of a clue what is actually happening inside the idea.

Then you have anti-anon, which listens to the mainstream news stories about how they're bad and doing bad things without actually taking the time to do the research and come to their own conclusions.

There's no point to the arguments anymore, you'll see whats going to happen. No one knows what will happen.

You may not care about your freedom of thought, feelings, expression. By they do. And i do. I support them. You see the bad, and only the bad. Look at it from an objective angle without being biased and you will see.

This is a conspiracy website. You should know the government is corrupt, you should know that we're ruled by the corporate agenda. You should know this, and you should know that this planet is not going to last long at the rate at which things are going.

the people will NEVER stand up for their rights. Ever. They listen blindly to the government. Thats why the idea of Anonymous is so great. Because it gives people a chance to stand up. And fight TPTB.

You sign up by running their bot nets whether you know it or like it. Then the cops come and take you away. Then they investigate and see that you sign up for sites like ATS and use Anonomous in your online identities, avatars, posts and any other sites you visit tagging yourself with the group. Then you go before the judge and tell him the same mumbo jumbo you just posted here and it holds no water compared to the evidence.

Welcome to the real world.

Except I don't run bot nets; The cops aren't going to take me away; Aren't going to investigate me; Aren't going to see that I sign up for sites like ATS and use Anon in my identities, avatars and posts; And I'm not going to be stood in front a theoretical judge.

Welcome to the real world, where not everyone you disagree with can be pigeon holed.

Tell that to the kids getting arrested today.
By being a supporter of theirs, you are more likely to visit their networks and sites and be exposed to their infected files than non supporters. You pidgeon hole yourself by publicly backing an illegal entity. Your posts in this thread alone supporting anonomous expose you to danger were a botnet to be traced to your computer.

Except I'm not the kids that got arrested today and I'm at little risk because I know how to use a computer.

Appreciate your concern though. I'll keep my eye out for the big bad anonymous and their dastardly plans!

The spilled energy is a small price compared to a dog's freedom.

And why did I bring up the FBI's investigation examples? Because you tried to make an argument without seeing over the steering wheel.

Try seeing the world a little brighter. Maybe that helps your negativity issue's.

Im glad, these stupid idiots hacking into Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, etc are endangering the livelihoods of everyday people who have nothing to do with government policy. That is a federal offense and I am glad they are being brought up on charges.

Here's an article from the local Long Island daily newspaper Newsday: www.newsday.com...

The usual police "quick! arrest someone!" hyperbole that's meant to placate the naive public, such as the OP.

Nothing more.

not only do you critize and discriminate a certain group of people, you also motivate others and bother their supporters.

is their anything positive about you in real life?

hacker or not, nobody deservers the wrath of the FBI

I don't see anything positive about a group of disorganized misfits who started their career out of 4-chan who now threaten the stability of the internet with their anarchist ways. Do you?

My perspective on this is an adult one. I will not trust my leader to be a teenager without real life skills and wisdom. BTW, the FBI's wrath also affects child pornographers, counterfeiters and terrorist cells . Now what do you have to say about them?

So many things wrong with what you said mr. shill.

Hey these kids are going to prison right? What about chaney, bush, kissenger, soros or rumsfeld? They just get off scott free. I like your logic.

I laugh at the America police/powers way of thinking :p

All those innocents, arrested.. to be soon released, with nothing to hold them but some tags and links.
Suuuuch a waste of time, however it keeps them off the trail of the real guys in charge, and makes loads of idiots think 'The police are doing a good job! They are saving my facebooks and ebays accounts.'

In case you missed it that "news" was thoroughly discredited.

Looks like another reason why the Government and Establishment scum need to be kept away from the internet. Baseless lies and propaganda is all they know

I'm 40. I've done a whole world of thinking and I'm not done learning yet. But I can assure you I don't need advice from someone who has not walked a day in my shoes. What you know now, I've learned 10+ years ago. It has nothing to do with rose colored glasses. The dog analogy isn't about freedom. You missed the point. It's about trying to achieve something it knows nothing about. These Anon hackers are kids. I remember the days of being 20 and thinking I was smarter. Their point is correct but the method is wrong.

Shows what you know. They'll cave because they're afraid of the threats made in questioning and become another informant. They have ways of making you talk.

Those kids that were arrested? They're gunna get INFO out of them? Out of people that dont know anything about hacking, dont know the actual hackers, and have no skills in that department?

The FBI isnt getting info from them, there's none to get.

If you think there are no informants then think again. Think of some young weakling caving into pressure during questioning at the thought of being in a cell and forced to be his cell mate's toy.
See how fast they become an informant. New guy in jail or prison will likely be challenged to a fight, someone might try killing them or you get raped. Hack your way out of that.

A waste of time, waste of life. I don't wish any of that on any of them but that is the reality many do face in jail and or prison. It's no joke.

Another one who missed the bus. Yes, politicians are evil. No argument. But you're comparing apples to oranges. Mother Teresa once was asked to partake in an anti-war demonstration. She said no, but she would partake in a pro-peace demonstration. Think about that...

I'm surprised at how may people continue to ignore the true reasons behind Anonymous. This movement isn't new, in fact it's nearly 6 years old now. Only in the last couple of months has law enforcement entities started to give a crap about Anon... and most of what people consider to be Anon, is probably Lulz.

This is the war over internet censorship. Welcome. There is a virtual line being drawn in the sands of cyber space. Either you support the oligarchy or you support the anarchists. Even though the oligarchy is not a true oligarchy, and the anarchists are not true anarchists. Really it comes down to weather you support corporations and big government censorship of the internet, or you support freedom of information, speech and art, among other things that the internet offers to people.

Arresting a few people out of a world wide group of hackers is not going to stop any one. As it has been said for each one that gets pinched, there are others waiting to fill the void they left behind... and they are going to be pissed off that their partners have been taken down. I see this as a mistake by the Feds. All its going to do is piss some of the more experienced people off. You know, the kind of people that know how to proxy 5-10 servers and how to tunnel, and how to crack code.

The only thing the feds have done by raiding a few kids houses, is show everyone else in the world that they are scared. Scared of a group of kids who threaten to take down giants, threatened by a group of cyber geeks who have their own convictions about what freedom is. The cyber war is soon going to be taken to the streets. Once that happens the feds will have a lot more to deal with than just 'hackers'.

This is going to be the ongoing fight of the 21st century. Freedom or censorship. You would think by now people would understand that it's our right to know what the hell is going on behind the curtains of power, especially since it's mostly our taxes that pay for these goings on. When the players of world governments decide to tighten the screws of censorship and authoritarianism, as they are doing now while they try to create a perpetual nanny state for the western world, the people will find ways to rise up. As of right now, the desktop warriors have the upper hand. Cyber space is still a level playing field to fight corruption. I fear soon it won't be.

And to those of you that say its dumb to support Anon, that statement reeks of ignorance. It is not illegal to support a group of people. It's illegal to participate in certain on line affairs, the same as it's illegal to commit any crime in public. But making the statement "I support Anonymous" will not get you locked up. That's pure paranoia. Thats the condition of mind big government wants you to have. You must walk on egg shells or we will take you to prison forever. Poppycock. Whats the real crime? Hacking these institutions of power? or that these institutions have withheld so much from us over the last 50 years? In my belief it's the latter. Agree or not it doesn't matter. The plan is already unfurling for better of for worse.

Choose a side or stand out of the way. This is not the last time we're going to hear about Anonymous.
