not only do you critize and discriminate a certain group of people, you also motivate others and bother their supporters.

is their anything positive about you in real life?

hacker or not, nobody deservers the wrath of the FBI

I don't see anything positive about a group of disorganized misfits who started their career out of 4-chan who now threaten the stability of the internet with their anarchist ways. Do you?

My perspective on this is an adult one. I will not trust my leader to be a teenager without real life skills and wisdom. BTW, the FBI's wrath also affects child pornographers, counterfeiters and terrorist cells . Now what do you have to say about them?

You sign up by running their bot nets whether you know it or like it. Then the cops come and take you away. Then they investigate and see that you sign up for sites like ATS and use Anonomous in your online identities, avatars, posts and any other sites you visit tagging yourself with the group. Then you go before the judge and tell him the same mumbo jumbo you just posted here and it holds no water compared to the evidence.

Welcome to the real world.

Except I don't run bot nets; The cops aren't going to take me away; Aren't going to investigate me; Aren't going to see that I sign up for sites like ATS and use Anon in my identities, avatars and posts; And I'm not going to be stood in front a theoretical judge.

Welcome to the real world, where not everyone you disagree with can be pigeon holed.

Tell that to the kids getting arrested today.
By being a supporter of theirs, you are more likely to visit their networks and sites and be exposed to their infected files than non supporters. You pidgeon hole yourself by publicly backing an illegal entity. Your posts in this thread alone supporting anonomous expose you to danger were a botnet to be traced to your computer.

My beef with this thread? There was an announcement of a few early morning raids, and the statement that the suspects were "suspected" of being involved with Anonymous. But that is enough that everyone on the first page is already convinced that these kids are "hackers" and that they are involved in actual "criminal" matters.

The presumption of innocence -- once the cornerstone of our supposedly enlightened legal system -- has been so degraded that a news story of an arrest is widely considered to be evidence of guilt or innocence. The truth is: an arrest is not evidence of anything, either way.

Well, you should, and you will from the moment you understand their cause.

Actually, our rights of communication were lost years before the fight even started. There is a PBS FRONTLINE documentary called "Spy School" that you really need to see. Everything posted here or sent electronically by any means (emails, phones, i-pads, SKYPE, whatever) is actively being collected and collated in very large collection systems in multi-story buildings on both coasts of the US. EVERYTHING!!! (even this... )

Holy crap! The guy who was arrested in Brooklyn lives accross the street from me! I was wondering why there was news trucks out side, and then my room mate came home and told us she gave a interview with them as they were asking about the Hacking incident... pshhhh.
Where i live is nothing but artists and free spirits. We live in a place called the Mckibbin Lofts, most write ups explain us as crazy party animals. But actually its made up of all kinds of arts and creative free willing people, so honestly i am very proud that he was here doing his freedom work. Since our buildings are massive warehouses with each space with big open spaces, we build our rooms into what ever crevice we find, so to get lost in here would not be surprised.
Hell yeah Mckibbin!!!
And check out scene the Potion Collective, it's on facebook please like the group! Real people doing real things!!
You don't find that much anymore

Think what you like, internet hackers are the only reason the internet has freedom right now. But well done, the hackers are the enemy, the government are your friends - I'm sure that's how good ol' Bill would say things too, eh?

You have no clue what you're talking about with this statement. Do you realize that without the our miliray and CIA Cyber Analysts and Network Warfare personnel that the USA would have NO internet right now? Why because other countries want to take it out. The fact that you think that it's teenagers keeping the internet up shows a complete lack of knowledge.

Except I didn't say that, did i. I said internet hackers are the ones keeping the internet free, they are.

With or without the CIA the internet would remain.

I am not saying anonymous will win in its battle against the government. But if you think its over, your a little naive. Anon is a world-wide group with no actual leader, so it cant be taken down by just busting a few kids in the US. This will just spur them to keep going, not slow them down or stop them in the least.

Don't be too concerned.

Most here have simply moved from the discussion at hand to the usual pro-anon, anti-anon bickering.

I personally hope if guilty these spoiled brats are locked up.

Um, HELLO!

More than a dozen suspected members of "Anonymous" were arrested this morning in states including Florida, New Jersey and California, in what appears to be a nationwide takedown of the notorious hacking group, FoxNews.com has exclusively learned.
The arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into Anonymous, which has claimed responsibility for numerous cyberattacks against a variety of websites including Visa and Mastercard.

Yeah, innocent until proven guilty.

There will be more.

It was all fun and games, until it got too serious.

He wasn't a lunatic at all. Get to really know him, listen to his broadcasts, research what he said just as he told his listeners to do. He never said believe what he said.

By the way, your dear hackers aren't helping squat. Oh and here's something else for you. 25 % of U.S hackers are F.B.I informants

So you never know who may be who. On here or elsewhere.

I was just trying to gee you up - But I really don't care what he or anyone else thinks of my views.

That article is rubbish, btw.

Unfortunately, or fortunately.. the guys they are arresting are just peons.. even if they initiated the bot attack DDOS, it doesnt necessarily mean that they were behind the controls.. they might even be completely innocent and had their machines compromised.. you never know. Anon is a strong group and like a hydra, you cannot kill it by cutting off a few heads.. new ones will grow back and that is the problem for the Feds right now..

What this will do is quite the contrary to what Anon wants to accomplish..

- Increased Network Security
- Decreased Privacy
- Loss of Rights and Liberties
- Loss of Free Speech

Hey kid, not being condescending by calling you kid but, I understand their point. And a point is all they have. But their unorganized and their efforts are not well thought out. They are like a dog chasing a car. What will the dog actually do once it catches it? Nothing. All that energy was done in vain.

And why did I bring up the FBI's investigation examples? Because you tried to make an argument without seeing over the steering wheel.

Its not who you are on the inside, but what you do that defines you.

When men fought out disputes with pistols (Western US & European Duals), they would fight their battles with a sense of honor and integrity.

Anonlescence (Anonymous) doesn't have honor or integrity. If they truly were the beacon of societal change, they would not partake in the same tactics as their enemy. They do not take steps to protect the innocent.

Anonlescence (Anonymous) attacks and corrupts the innocent.

Anonlescence (Anonymous) is just as bad as those it puts on trial.

Now they will go on trial.

The internet is anarchist in nature. Your anti-anarchist slander makes no sense on 2 counts. Firstly because they aren't anarchists, secondly because the internet itself is very.
