Apes using Machetes to hunt, protect and kill (Video)

Searched but didn't find this. Amazing footage of a chimp using a machete after being trained by Idi Amin's forces in the '70's. More than a dozen Chimps were trained to fight with machetes to protect his bunkers in Uganda.

Recent discoveries of adolescents show that the older ones have passed on the training to their kids. They are now using machetes to hunt and protect their own territories. There are also reports of them by rangers attacking humans with their weapons with deadly results.

This movie is doing bad things for ATS.

Chimps using machetes to hunt and kill their prey may seem like something out of a nightmare.

However, Twentieth Century Fox are hoping it will prove a dream ticket to box office success.

The video, in which a chimp is pictured killing and dismembering its quarry, is the latest video released by the "20th Century Fox Research Library".

Of course, none of these videos are genuine and are simply designed to build buzz ahead of the release of Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes in August.

I literally just joined after months of lurking to reply to this post before it got out of control: but you guys beat me to it... obviously its clear now that this is viral marketing for the new planet apes movie.

The AK-47 ape video got sent to me from a ton of people and most didnt get that it was not real... gotta love effective viral marketing.

I just wonder how many more threads were going to see concerning these ape 'news' videos? If only people would use a search engine first before posting these, then we definitely wouldn't see as many.

The "20th century fox research" at the bottom left of screen gives it away. But as far as this being bad for ATS I don't see that being true. We get to debunk these post rather quickly compared to a lot of other sites. And Its always good to keep people on there toes.

It is usually assumed that apes evolved into humans, however here is proof that it is humans that are turning into apes. How else can it be that troops loyal to their leader Idi Amin, are now running wild in the jungle, hunting and killing with their machettes ? They have grown into apes ? Here is proof that humans are evolving into apes, not vica versa.

Kinda sad imo, teaching such horror to our kindred friends. What's sad is that the offspring will continue the behavior. We have created a destructive mutation in these creatures. Not that they weren't wild and ferocious at times anyway, but this seems like it would add momentum to any natural animosity, and take it to new levels.
What happens when it clicks in their mind that all humans are bad and to attack them?

This is completely fascinating. I suspect that our human ancestors killed off higher apes with tool an weaponry experience as they competed for resources.

These videos are funny, but people's responses to them are even more hilarious. I can't wait to see this movie.
