Are you implying that Chinese people can only eat Chinese food?

I can't work out whether thats satire or plain-old-fashion racism.

Again

they have trillions of american dollars, much Euros, gold, credit cards.

they can fly over first class, live in the best of hotels, eat in our finest restaurants, buy 5,000$ suits( their tailors already here).

no need for weapons or soldiers, why would they want to damage their property(America)?

and they are buying Canada, Brazil, Africa; oil, farms, mineral deposits.

we might be able to pay the interest on our debt by selling them a few dozen islands a year.
Napoleon sold Louisiana, the Tsar sold Alaska, the good news is the USA has a lot of real estate.

thousands of islands must be worth cash, or we can keep selling property rights, while keeping sovereignty, to ease the ego of citizens.

but the Chinese are an intelligent and patient people, no need for military fears unless it's from stupid American actions.

Cygnis, I see you enjoying a fine, fine future as a Hollywood screenwriter. This Chinese Restaurant Angle is exactly what the last Bond film was missing.

And, keep in mind: If the Chinese troops arrive during 'The Buffet' then the first fighting will be all hand-to-hand combat.

All one has to do is listen to the comments coming out of that GD cesspool that is China to figure out they are preparing for war with the U.S. We need to nuke the GD yellow menace now! Full nuclear onslaught and NOW. F china.

I think if War broke out with China, there would be a whole lot of chinese people rounded up and put into FEMA prison camp (internment camps) like what the US did to the Japanese during WWII.

"invade"?

"red dawn" is so 20th century..and costly ;if not impossible, if we keep our guns.

They will simply write a check and you'll feed them. And be happy you get to keep the scrapings from the Wok.

To state the obvious.

All the food the Chinese restaurants would be serving would be tainted by radioactivity blowing eastwards across the Pacific.

Definitely a silly premise for all the reasons already posted, but also for another .. it assumes that the Chinese would only be able to consume Chinese food.. any invading army would have access to any of the restaurants on land.. they may have to prep their own food but there's lots to choose from.. as well as grocery stores..

It's silly to think that their military plans might be looking at the number of chinese restaurants in a town to make land fall because if there's not enough panda expresses, the mission will fail

Lets also remember that many of these places are owned by Americans .. a great place near me is owned by Americans, they have one Chinese chef ( born in the USA as well mind you ) ..

Silly idea on many levels =) was this influenced by the SouthPark episode?

We'd be obliterated along side them.. trust me.. China isn't stupid, it may be arrogant but it's not stupid.. there's nuclear subs all over .. they like to show up at our military exercises... they are all over and they flaunt it because they know we can't do anything about it.

We send a single nuke to China and the subs they have all around will have us turned to a parking lot before the first missile landed..

That is the main reason we won't have a war .. mutually assured destruction, although with a place as big as China we might not have the upper hand.. or even one to make us even.

Ok....let's say Chinese people have bought a lot of land in the U.S. and have been infiltrating the U.S. for years....as well as many of their allies.....with mass amounts of our troops in other countries....the infiltration here in the U.S. keeps systematically happening. Let's say one day there is a massive communication breakdown....the internet does not work etc.....then like an orchestrated U.S. flash mob....one day...all these people that have infiltrated our country....attack us from within....

No, I don't think that would work at all. If Chinese troops invaded and were using restaurants as food supplies, it would be a simple matter to bomb or destroy said establishments, severely hindering the Chinese troops. Also, once the food would run out, as it quickly would, how do you think the Chinese would force the food suppliers to send and ship the food? You're not going to have a gang of truckers standing by to serve Chinese invaders.
They would have to supply their own food or else occupy and farm land long-term and have it so defensible that it could not be harmed.

Besides, if any foreign army tried to actually invade the US, they'd likely be annihilated before they even reached shore. World War 3 won't be a conventional war.

It's a good thing you & the wife didn't go out for German food, this thread would be on a way more vicious path. While whatever country may do this or that to invade the USA soil I think you may be projecting the mindset of the war-loving flag we are under. China is pretty mellow on the overall. Uncle Sam has been sending our children out to kill people on foreign soil that they've never met non-stop since before I was born, and I am Old!

China already won the modern day war. Their goods are sent here around the clock and we idiot Americans put coin and credit on the counter and snatch them up like wildfire. Our own government doesn't give a damn that our children may get sick from toxic toys or our pets may die from tainted foods imported from China.

IMHO we have a much more dangerous threat to our lives clustered in Washington DC. A slew of clowns and demons pompously strut through the halls and auditoriums where good Americans are supposed to sit in senate and congress. The Chinese don't have to train troops. They are winning the big war at the cash registers across America while this country is going down the tubes like the Titanic.

rightly said. This is such a crazy theory! Most of these restraunts would consider themselves american anyway. The chinese government does own them all lol. The chinese army could supply itself easily unless the country destroyed every property and every feidl in the entire nation.

HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 24. The first 23 Chinese students from the University of International Studies of the University of Xian, in the province of Shaanxi, will graduate on June 28 in Spanish Language, as a result of Cuban-Chinese cooperation.

These students spent four out of five years in Cuba studying this major and the fifth year in China with Cuban professors.

According to Prensa Latina news agency, another 108 Chinese will graduate in the Aula Magna of the University of Havana, as part of cooperation programs..

China has been focusing more on Latin America for some 50 years, although rarely do we hear much about it.

Every now and again, a small bit of news comes out, but how to interpret it?

Shining Path has been in South America for decades. Cuba was identified as a potential threat a very long time ago, and has had advisors in China since the 1960's.

With silly Red Dawn scenarios, it's not popular to consider the possibility that Chinese strategy is actually much longer-term than we are prepared for.

Imagine millions of Chinese, who spoke fluent Spanish.

Imagine further, that half of them didn't really look so different than some of their Latin American cousins, precisely by design. Chosen specifically because of superficial similarities, some Asian peoples (perhaps we could think of a place like the controversial Tibet), have native peoples who can look eerily "similar" to those in the Americas with Inca blood, for example. We could speculate further here of course.

Now imagine a step beyond. These people could be trained, from childhood, to speak Spanish, to perhaps even think that they ARE Latin Americans, with crucial differences in their loyalties, and philosophical thinking. How hard would it be to "insert" such troops, over time, not in America, but virtually anywhere south of the border?

Far-fetched? Maybe. All those Cuban advisors in the 1960's. Oh, they had so much to offer the Chinese! Like what exactly? Ah yes. They spoke Spanish. "What if" some of those they trained are today in their 30's and 40's. My, my, they might even make good leaders some day, and give guys like Hugo "Chavez" a run for his money...

Im betting on the chinese army not the people who think that there rambo.
You don't really think everyone who owns a gun would go out and fight a coordinated, well trained army?
This isn't red dawn...

Oh yes it is:

www.reddawn2011.com...

According to the website, this much delayed film will be released in Europe this September. All I can say is it's about friggin time. "WOVERINES!!!"

Below is the only video I've been able to find on the movie, there are no trailers anywhere.

I would assume the OPs question will be answered this fall in a theater near you.
