Once you invoked the race card, I stopped taking you seriously.
The overwhelming GOP landslide elections were a clear message by the people to limit government,
keep taxes low and stop the spending. If the GOP fails, they will be replaced also.
Raising the debt ceiling is not the way to go. Obama can not take his case to the people.

The GOP elections were about jobs and the economy.

Neither are being handled properly by the Republitards. I mean Republicans.

I guess gay marriage is more threatening than the debt crisis.

The President is still Obama. How well did the stimulus work out and what happened to all the money? Were are the shovel ready jobs? Oh, yeah, he laughed that one off. Arrogant fool. How is the summer of recovery going?
When is Obama going to finally pass a budget? He couldn't even handle that with a Majority in both houses.

Why is it some do not see this?

They are addicted to the spending.
They need to go to rehab.

Let's see.

Obama wants to fix economy.

Republicans don't.

It's a bit hard to run things when you have Congress full of morons.

Through hard work anyone can achieve great success; I know that if I worked diligently for many years and made something of myself I wouldn't want the government swiping my money just give it to people who expect a hand out [I'm not referring to everybody here, but there is a good bit of them]. Like I said before, the rich are already taxed immensely. But anyway, at least you're concerned with whats going on, many nowadays are completely apolitical. Oh, one more thing, I recognize that some politicians are crooked, but I don't believe the vast majority are.

That must have been when Nancy Pelosi was in charge. And you din't answer any of the questions I asked? Because it has all been a failure. Gitmo stil open and are we out of Iraq and Afghanistan? But he starts a Kinetic action in Libya without Congressional approval? At least Bush did that along with the U.N. Not that they mean squat anyway.

Its time to wake up, congress for the last 16 yrs has lost 4 million jobs, yes congress look at the bills (laws and amendments attact to them) but when a pol says this is not good for the America people regarless if there dems or gop, people get angry, but we re-elect those that steal and cut our benefits, but when a sitting President walks out on an important meeting its time to say NO re-election, to understand this go per state, NY NJ Conn, etc, they promise jobs where are, first on the list cut ssi benefits, food stamps, Please don't blame them just because we elected them to ROB us.

Eventually people have to walk out of room if they want to continue on with their lives. Like eat, sleep and go to the bathroom.

When I have you ever seen on CSPAN a GOP candidate call to the floor a vote for Gay Marriage? When? Please? Their only task has been the economy. They have created solutions, but have yet to have them accepted. They will continue, because after all, they are the ones with the brains in the whole operation. After all, havent heard a lot of ideas out of the left except tax raises, and that is exactly what the country needs right now, more taxes. (sarcasm)

What a big baby. What kind of example is this?!

One set by the GOP

Sunday, House Speaker John Boehner walked out of the debt ceiling talks and, echoing other Republicans, noted that the impasse involved the insistence by President Barack Obama and the Democrats to raise taxes.

I know, I know. Noble and all that crap when Boehner does it too I suppose.

Know what i love the most about political discourse? This, above. The rationalization of a behavior with "well, you did it too." or "you did it first".

I stopped that argument tactic 35 some odd years ago, when it became obvious that two turds can only be compared as two turds. At the end, they are still both turds. To rationalize poor behavior with similar poor behavior by your adversary is, basically, just admitting that you and your adversary are basically the same.

And that is truly pathetic. People actually fall for this crap. People shrug off the obvious fact that wrong is wrong, and buy into whatever rationalization is offered up by the political camp they are most affiliated with.

Let me ask you this (or any other poster here): is the behavior wrong? yes or no? Do you condemn the behavior in your political adversary?

Then how do you choke down the bile that you must taste when you acquiesce to the atrocities of your political brethren?

No, to justify one ill action on another is madness. It lacks logic. It is why I have no faith in our government or its politics. Or the mindless masses that eat this crap up like it isn't poisoning their culture.

Except that Reagan DID raise taxes. Quite a few times in fact. Please research the facts.

Not to extremes though. There's no need to do this; there are more efficient alternatives.

How is raising taxes on 2% of the population 'extreme'?

Because these people already pay an immense amount in taxes.

It wasn't extreme 10 years ago...or 10 years before that...or 10 years before that.

What is extreme is how much they make. That's why they pay so much more, because they make 100,000 times more! It's not the amount they contribute, it's the percentage of their income.

They don't use all that wealth to create jobs or spend it, they use it to make more wealth for themselves.

Warren Buffet isn't rich because he's a job creator, he's rich because he trades stocks and buys business'. You know what? He still pays a smaller percentage of his income than any congressman.

it was only a matter of time before Obama went ghetto on them.

those secret meetings after promising the nation everything would be transparent and he would have cspan air every meeting.

just a typical ghetto liar.

soon we will be rid of this experiment in ghetto politics and hopefully get someone like Ron Paul in who will shut down the illegal Federal Reserve and put an end to the socialistic "New Deal" that started us on this path of destruction.

By whose standards do they make to much? They put in diligent work/effort to reach their success; Is it wrong for them to receive fruit from their labor?

If you consider the concentration of all the wealth in the country, yes, they make waaay too much.

They put in diligent work/effort to reach their success; Is it wrong for them to receive fruit from their labor?

The greatest problem is that they don't put diligent work or effort into their work, only their success. They don't receive the 'fruit' from their labor, they receive it from the labor of others...they're capitalists, that's what they do.

Show me a multi-millionaire or billionaire whose wealth comes entirely from their labor. Show me one.

I guess we'd have to agree to disagree there. And concerning the family issue, don't you believe that politicians have family needs to attend to as well? it's not like they're a different species or something, they have responsibilities to meet as does everyone else.

I think they might as well be on a different planet, the majority of them are so far removed as to be a different class. They get to skip security scans at the TSA, they don't have to have the same insurance as the common folk, and the majority are millionaires. They don't have to eek out a living like the majority of us that THEY represent.

They have families, but they don't need to worry about them because they live in the same insulated state...

The Tea Party members are setting a great example.
Marco Rubio and Michelle Bachmann are 2 leaders.

Thank God for the Tea Party.

Can you really put those two in the same sentence?

Marco Rubio.......
Outstanding, and my local Tea Party was instrumental in his election!

Michelle Bachman......
How the hell did she happen? We had nothing to do with that.
