Don't be creeped out by it. Our earth is going through changes, that's for sure. And some people are sensitive enough to pick up on these changes that are coming. Don't be surprised if you are able to predict more. A time is coming where many people will be the same way. But for now, we have way too much technology in our way of being back in tune with the earth completely. She will have her way though, and eventually humans will be forced to go back to a time where we could feel it all, all seasons, all changes, the sun, the moon, etc.

I can't say I believe in Elenin, this goes against everything I was taught. I do know that we will experience a day of darkness, and according to the Mayan prophecy, will see a "new sun". I am speaking symbolically. This new sun we will be the same sun we see each day, but it will be a little different, in it's light, it's energy, and the way we see it in the sky.

If we do have an ELE coming, then so be it. I will not try to survive such a thing, and will take it as my cue that it's just our time to go. I'm not going to waste time fretting about these things though. If anything, the time is now to get closer to our loved ones, do the things we would like to do and enjoy each day we do have here on earth. Treat each other as we want to be treated, etc.

Are you a writer ? What a beautiful post to have addressed to me. Not at all overdone and you describe my feelings abouit these matters perfectly. Lacking only my sometimes obvious cynical demeanor of course..

I haven't paid no attention to 2012 or ELEnin, maybe I should I dunno, it's kinda of hard to focus on those topics when I'm too busy watching everything thats acutally on the Earth falling apart every day I wake up with no fail.

Knowing me I'll start paying attention in the months ahead. But when it comes to being prepared I don't need to types words, when i'm finished I'll just show you with pictures.

But It's meant for hurricanes with a small thought of '' end of times '' thrown in the mix for extra protection.

As I read alot who doubt, I kinda am with you, and the ones that believe, I am kinda with you as well, I'm like 40/40/20, the 20 being the gray I don't know area.

Saying that though, we all know there is ELEnin, and we talked about it before it turned into almost a culture on here, my point is if some of you are waiting for NASA or the Government to give you a warning, good luck with that, if something is coming to destroy us we will never know until the final couple hours.

Most of us pro's came up with the "Script Kiddies", label, based on the computer scientist wannabees that had no formal CS education and never knew a real programming language, but flooded the net with poorly written basic and shell scripts...

Here we have the same kind of scenario. Pseudo-science nutcakes with no astronomical training that are going to try and convince the world that fantasy trumps science.

My only criticism as regard to the above video is that the author does not understand the dynamics of comet tail formation. He thinks of the comet tail as being like a rocket plume or the contrail of a jet engine. However a comets tail is always flowing out from a comet in a direction away from the Sun. Comets tail are the flow of the Solar Wind and thus are always facing away from the Sun. So that even as far back as 01 June 2011 we should have already have been able to see the comet tail. However no comet tail is yet visible because Elenin is not a comet. Elenin is a rouge planet dropping in from deep interstellar space. But for the gravity of Jupiter deflecting the centre of gravity in our Solar System away from the Sun, Elenin would have fallen directly into the Sun. Instead it is passing just to the one side of the Sun.

I think that it is disgusting and highly offensive that there are certain correspondent on ATS showing total disregard for the loss of life and property already being experienced because of the alignments with Elenin that have already occurred. Getting on 28,000 Japanese died on 11 March 2011. About 184 died in Christchurch in New Zealand. If Chile were not so sparsely populated then considerable numbers would have died there too. Please try to understand the feelings of those being affected by the bad weather and geological disasters being caused by Elenin. Members of ATS should realise that governments might want to prosecute certain numbskulls because of the total lack of sensitivity being expressed in certain postings. That in more understand able terrestrial terms is no more than 2,000,000 miles distance. In astronomy that is far too small a distance. The gravity of Elenin as it approaches us will be in the direction of the Sun. Then suddenly the gravity of Elenin will be in the opposite direction away from the Sun. That gravity whip lash effect is what I believe to be our greatest problem. Alignments are destructive, but the gravity whip lash on the 16 October 2011 is what will be our main problem, affecting the entire planet. So that no matter where so ever it is that you're living your utterly God forsaken heathen infidel existence you will be affected. Elenin is real. Elenin is not a hoax. This picture of the planet Saturn shows a huge disturbance that began in December of 2010. It is actually a huge volcanic eruption throwing vaste amounts of Sulphur Dioxide into the upper atmosphere of Saturn. It is widely understood that Elenin is the cause of this mega disturbance affecting Saturn. One must also wonder the extent to which Mars and Venus and Mercury are being disturbed too. For those who understand just how big Saturn is by comparison to the Earth the eruptions on Saturn are almost as big as the Earth. Saturn is certainly going through a catastrophic event. And I find it despicable that people are trying to piggy back on the suffering of others just to gain support for their own crazy pet theory and to spread fear. There was no alignment. First off Elenin is still below the ecliptic making any kind of alignment impossible. Second, the so-called alignments aren't even true alignments. They are off by multiple degrees, which is a big deal when it comes to the distances we are talking. Third, the so-called alignments didn't even occur on the dates of the earthquakes. Mother Nature does a good enough job keeping us in check, she doesn't need any help from some fantasy planet. Start focusing on what's actually happening here on Earth and stop focusing on stuff that some guy on YouTube told you to believe in.

Who is Alexander Elenin?

If Elenin is as large as Uranus or Neptune, why is it that it was not visible to the naked eye when well inside the orbit of Saturn and Jupiter?

Elenin's close approach will be at about 0.233 AU which is 21,658,721 miles, not 2 million. That is a pretty large distance, we get about that close to Venus sometimes.

Who is uneducated again?
