donguillermo....didn't the Bible say that the Earth would be ruled by the Anitchrist for a thousand years or something? If it does, I could see the Pope being the anti-christ as it seems that he is never going to die Seriously, I dont wish that upon him or anything, but kind of strange that he just seems to keep living even though he can barely speak.

Ycon....what I first got from Bush's quote is that he was sort of proclaiming to be Jesus himself? Afterall it says "because they have not known the Father, nor me". If this is true then he has totally lost it...prescription drugs for depression, declaring himself the son of God, what next? Is he going to tell us that he is God, and that he will smite all Muslims, Buddhists, Hindu's, etc. off the face of the Earth?

The next couple of months (or years...depending if he is re-elected) are going to be very interesting to say the least!

Jazzerman, the thousand year rule of the antichrist is not just one person or entity, there are many. The antichrist are running the world now, but many don't realize it.

Jazzerman, it was actually Bush Senior who made the John 16:3 mistake. Like father, like son George Bush continues his dirty deeds. I say he will be elected again. My tarot reading from last year said he would do something to make himself look good. Too bad my iconoclast blog got deleted, I would like to show you what it said. no jazzerman, for 4 years then after earth will be burned by the army of god and the anti-christ and his will be cast down by god for a thousand years while jesus rules earth reborn with us(who are believers) then god will let them all out of hell but they will plot and try to kill us and god will throw them back to hell forever.

Antichrist is like it says anti-christ, against christ. There have been many throughout history. Satan does come into power as the antichrist in the endtimes, but I was referring to those like the Pope, Hitler and even Bush. They may say they're for God and Christ but we see their fruits and know who they really are.

Actually, I believe Ycon is correct. The anti-christ is born as a man. Someone who is anti-christis someone who is against christ, like anti-war is against war.

How is the Pope anit-christ? What fruits prove who he really is?

no, they arent the anti-christ, the bible says only one will be born, i dont get why people say there will be many, the bible talks about false prophets but not the anti-christ born many times.

You might want to read my post again. I said exactly what you just said. I said there is one anit-christ (figure) born as a man but people can be anti-christ (like being anti-war).

There is only one born as the antichrist but many are antichrist. There is more then one meaning here

If you really want to get interesting you could comment on how the Pope's hat and thron in the Vatican is desigend after the garb of the high priests of Poseidon.

Then again the Christianity as an organized religion has always stolen the icons and general prectices of the religion of the people it forced into it's beliefs. Once a religion becomes the primary backing of the government or the government itself this will always be so. It is the only way for a dominationg religious institution to absorb those it dominates.
