[RINGS] FTR Update 08/11 - Red Dot

how did I get there....


I went to bed about midnight last night and couldn't sleep, so about 1 am I got up and logged on to ATS. I was re-reading the clues in this (red dot) thread and was checking out some other things... had 3 pages total open ( I think )

right when I got tired again and was ready to log off, I noticed towards the top of the page, there were two more tabs... they had the titles of the threads that I had open in them...

They were not tabs like what is at the top of the ATS page, ( Links, Rings, etc. ) they were located below the tool bar ( suggestions buddies members... etc ).

again there were two of them, and I looked and didn't give it a second thought until this morning... I recall as I moved the cursor towards closing out the window, the cursor changed to the "little hand" symbol which lets you know to click and open something...

I do not recall a red dot in either of the two tabs...

It was late and I was tired, so I just dismissed it and went to bed.

This morning I'm kicking myself hard.. think about it, there were two, a left and a right... they definitley concealed something and most definitley confused me...

maybe you did have something. thought about going through your history? maybe a time search through your browsers history if you know roughly the time. Ive still got nothing myself except:

its an old Hunt thread. The first post is by kinglizard. look at his avatar pic. Red dot? perhaps. Conceals? definately. me grasping at straws? Undoubtably. Also, thread4 i had tried, and its a thread copyed over from the old board about hitler, Simon is the original poster. Im out of ideas. my brain hurts at this point.

oh crap guys...

the more that I try to replicate what I did last night and the more I look at the pages and stuff, I could be wrong about where those "tabs" were located last night...

I think maybe they could have been just above the ATS tabs at the top of the page and just below my browser...

by the way, at home I run Mozilla Firefox 9 .... does anyone know if that browser will throw out extra "tabs" ????

I never thought about going through the "history", good idea

I'm at work right now, but when I get home this afternoon, I'll check.. and of course you guys will be the first to know...

don't you guys remember that post by Xerox? he's a deleted member... all's he said was "skulls" and it's still stuck in my head...

"skulls" is about 1/2 way down...

oh! and a side thought.. it's in the "secret societies" section, and the icon of that section had a red eye... that looks like a red dot... whoooo how much farther off can you get?!

I think the reason he said skulls was in context of the post. the OP of that thread was looking for movies that referenced secret societies a la illuminati, etc. one movie (series) that is based on secret societies is The Skulls (1, 2, and 3) hence, the skulls post.

How is everyone else moving along with this section of the hunt? Any leads yet? Or have some people figured it out and just arent sharing?

nothing, absolutly nothing... this is rather depressing. no leads or ANYTHING... wheres the smart person who finds the lead and we follow? *sighs* this is just giving me a headche thinking too hard... i KNOW this has to be somehting simple, ive gone through the ATS start page so many times it's not even funny... well okay... it's a bit funny... but not that funny... oh well, EVERYONE *barks like a boot camp commander* keep looking!!!

nothing here either... I've had a headache since that "red dot " clue went up...

Did SimonGray Mention a read dot on a e-mail at the start of the hunt? you tried deep.access, etc?? I believe there was a red dot on one of the boards around here somewhere, but anyways, good luck

personally, i think they should have made this huge red dot down at the bottom of the ATS start page that has a sign under it "DO NOT CLICK THIS! IT IS PART OF THE RINGS HUNT!" seriously, no one would have noticed it

I call upon our captains of enlightenment to aid us in this perilous (to sanity) quest! Let us hear what they have to say, perhaps help us along a bit. 4 become one, one become many. The many say givy hinty!

Anything from the non-captains that could help are also welcome, even just a report in of what they are up to.

Im looking for how to use that crazy red dot clue, Simons first message said something about seven red dots, and we had a clue about seven red dots, maybe nothing. Who knows.

I dont know if it means anything but what about the flag of Japan a red sun on a white background (red dot from a distance)
