I understand where you are coming from but what in the proof the he is a hoaxer? Besides everyone saying/believing it? When I was first experimenting with different meditation techniques, I was willing to go and pay for lessons to teach me how to do it. Listening to Greer's interviews, reading his books, etc, he teaches you how to do transcendental meditation for free. He teaches you a technique, if applied correctly and with true intent, you could possibly contact E.Ts, he encourages and spreads the message of becoming peaceful individuals and striving to evolve our minds to escape the trap of the material illusion.

How is he so crazy?

When I watched the Disclosure project testimonies I was impressed, Greer put something good together there. What I was not impressed with was Greer's theatrics in his lectures and his claims of being harrassed etc, related to astronauts and prominent families, bodybuilding tales etc. I began to instinctively distrust the guy and his ego.

The biggest single contradiction relating to Greer is that he says he wants disclosure and yet runs private (with conidentiality clauses involved) workshops were he says he can contact the UFOs/ETs.

So you see that there are only two logical conclusions to be drawn here. Either Greer can't contact ET's and is a fraud....or he can contact ET's but is not willing to do this in public.

Why doesn't he hold his contactee events on the Whitehouse lawn and solve the disclosure issue?

To answer your original question of where Greer is now, he is getting prosecuted for trespassing on protected land and still begging for $5.7 million so he can start his free energy 'research'.

You know that phrase 'Trust me, I'm a doctor', it sends me into a fit of giggles when I imagine Greer saying it

Besides appearing in court on trespass charges he's preparing his next big money-grab.

geez, i thought he was only charging 1k a head in the States.

A fool and his gold are soon parted.

Unbelievable !!

Based on the increasingly close contact (including sounds and photographs) CSETI teams have been experiencing in the US, and the phenomenal crop circle seasons over the past 2 years which included extraordinary designs, anomalous sounds, and ET craft and beings witnessed, Dr. Greer believes it is time for a CSETI team to travel again to England.

Yes, Dr. Greer believes it is time to scam England. $3840 U.S. dollars...oh it supplies the supper for the first night, then you're on your own...

This crook is getting from bad to worse.

The point I am trying to make is that just because everyone says he is a hoaxer doesn't mean he is.
If you made that claim at a conference of scientists where everyone's a skeptic I could understand it. But you're making that claim on ATS which shows you don't understand ATSers very well.

There are lots of people on ATS who WANT to believe, if someone is genuine.

So if everybody on ATS is calling someone a hoaxer, I think it's safe to say that indeed they are a hoaxer, contrary to your claim.

Greer gathered a lot of names that stood up and said they know something and would testify in congress.

Well that was years ago and no testimony, nothing disclosed.

I too once believed this was it... but we still have nothing. If all these people have something to testify, then do so. What are they waiting for?

Well they all made a standing offer to testify before Congress, but it seems like Congress didn't take them up on their offer. They can hardly be faulted for that can they?

And what do you mean, "no testimony"? The press conference and the Disclosure book are full of testimony. If you don't want to believe any of it, that's your problem....

Free energy devices, like perpetual motion devices, are just pipe dreams and a complete waste of time. Nuclear fusion, however, will become a reality.

Yes, that's right, just follow the group-think and believe what everyone tells you to believe, and don't ask too many questions!

It doesn't matter that not a single one of us have ever actually been out there with Greer on those expeditions, so we're all arguing from a position of complete non-experience. Just believe what we tell you!

Those are just a couple quick examples, I'm sure there are lots more....

I've looked at the results posted by people that have tested them and there's no evidence I've seen that any of them are over unity as some claim.

I'm not 100% sure none of them work, only 99.99999% sure. But they are extraordinary claims, with no extraordinary evidence to back them up, and in many cases, either no evidence at all, or even evidence which contradicts the claims. You can't prove a negative, so if someone has a device that works, they are going to have to prove it, and nobody has.

There are also hundreds if not thousands of perpetual motion machine inventors preceding them who have all claimed to violate the laws of physics as we know them, when in fact they have actually reinforced that our current understanding of physics regarding these devices is actually pretty good, because none of the "over-unity" machines that claim to show "new physics" do what they claim. This has been the case for over a century, such as with the founding of the Keely motor company in 1872, and continues to this day. And apparently SOME people have learned nothing from history because they still believe these fairy tales, in fact some people even hold out hope the Keely motor actually works, can you beat that?

Whatever information Greer might have had in the beginning has simply given way to the desperation of..."Please i still wanna be famous" long ago...

There really isn't any difference between Greer and the host of "used to be sort of famous" bods who show up on a gazillion infiomercials (gawd i hate that word). It's jsut human nature that, when you taste the whole celeb thing it seduces one and before you know it you are churning out any old bollox in order to get your *fix* of exposure.

Those who talk about *cult*, well truth is, there isn't an iota of difference between Greer and *cult* and those TV series that never made the mainstream but have a hardcore following and *cult*. There are thousands of bands worldwide who are *cult* bands, I do think people rather get their knickers in a twist over all this. People have a need to feel a bit special, away from their run of the mill lives, and Greer's ideas aren't really any different to being deeply into to some sub set of a particular music genre. Something like Industrial crossover big beat country metal".

Yes, while I personally, find it frustrating that the likes of Icke and Greer are always the talking heads referenced on TV, interviewed over anything remotely paranormal, it is , in the end no different than having to listen to Bono prate on about some issue as if he speaks for everyone of us musicians.

The sobering fact is this. No matter what field you work in in the 21st century, the winners tend to be those with the best publicity machine despite the possible paucity of their cause. Like it or not, that goes for Science as much as it goes for the media.

There was an excellent documentary about the presence of Science on TV shown on BBC4. obviously anglo-centric in its' view however, well worth a gander at if you have a chance. .I for one, miss the days of the old "Open University" lectures that were invariably presented by some dude with the all the sartorial elegance of a 1968 Datsun saloon and you could see the sets swaying as they became feverish with the old marker pen when explaining some complex equation.

In other words, science as whole, in the contemporary media , is now all about presentation skills not the message. The likes of Greer prosper because, the likes of us can't be arsed to complain. In a sense, bitching about them on places like this is a classic case of shutting the stable door long after the horse wandered off.

I believe he tried it in the UK last year but as there are no reports about it on his site it probably never went ahead due to lack of gullible mugs falling for the scam.

If it does go ahead this year there's a chance that he may be arrested as a charlatan. He would then have to prove his ability to contact extraterrestrials in a court of law.

Yeah, like the courts are full of people queuing up to sue over the "30 second abs", "The perfect paint system" "build a luxury yacht for pennies" ads that infest the late night airwaves.

So you've looked at other people's results but you won't try any of the experiments yourself?

Not even the super cheap and simple Steven Jones one? Hmm.......

What Happened? I'll tell you what happened: He started drinking his own Kool-aid.

The Press Club in DC catalyst got people excited that here we finally had a serious, educated, articulate, believable, "Dr." that would finally add credibility, leadership, intensity, and main-stream exposure to a subject that desperately needed it. WE needed it! ATS and the dozens of similar forums and venues worldwide were elated. FINALLY - someone comes on the scene that can speak for US, can give a voice to the dilemma and enigma we have been battling, seemingly alone and isolated.

What a disappointment.

Instead, our cause was betrayed. A charlatan replaced our messiah. Instead of a serious inquiry between experts and the government, broadcast to the masses so the truth can be revealed - what did we get? A buffoon who abandoned us, who started talking about his own childhood levitation experiences, "Gay" planets, spaceship rides, and similar silly, ludicrous assertions (try and find a vid of the Greer speech at the L.A. Conscious Life Expo in early 2007, I believe. I posted it on ATS a few times, but Greer Company has YouBoob and other video sites keep taking it back down - you'll appreciate why if you can find a copy).

So then, he made matters worse by turning his once serious, professional discourse and inquiry into a fool's circus, duping as many suckers as he can find into paying him exorbitant "fees" to hold hands in various desert and mountain 'special-secret-spots' while they hummed and sang and took pictures of insects and meditated to the star-people. Oh brother...

Hey Greer: You say you and your love-fest payees meet aliens and see giant ships up-close at your 'ET Ambassador' shin-digs? Great! That's awesome! Wouldn't happen to have a picture would 'ya? Oh -that's right, we need to PAY $1,800 for that privilege. Ok, then how about any ONE of your devotees that have paid the fee. Can we see one of THEIR pictures? No? Why not? Let me guess...

What happened, you ask? Nothing happened. We were duped. Set-up. Made out to be fools. You think some of us feel bad? How do you think all those experts/pilots/military brass he lined up in D.C. feel? Greer probably did more to shutter them up forever than all of the giggling news anchors of the world combined. Thanks for that, Stevie, by the way. Idiot.

As time goes on, I am beginning to suspect that Greer was/is a government disinfo agent, a turncoat, was threatened, or is just plain insane. Pick your poison. Either way - the big losers are you and me. Greer single-handily set the "truth" movement back a dozen years. Every time he opens his mouth now I just want to

Or this modified "Joule Thief" circuit could be tested out quite cheaply and easily:
This guy may know some physics but apparently not much electrical engineering, he doesn't seem to know how to measure. It's a measurement error. He's apparently using power formulas which assume sinusoidal waveforms and his waveforms are not sinusoidal. This is a very common error by people who have no idea what they are doing, which is a lot in the over-unity field.

You keep posting this trash, why don't you actually buy it and power your home with it? Because it doesn't work, that's why.

Its a shame that he has the right mindset to get the information needed out to the public, but so many people discredit his attempts because he does require a fee. I think Richard Hogland said it the best on C2C...'What we do is not free, and most of the proceeds come from our own pockets.' This is true in his case, Dr. Greer rather use the people that want to see him and his gang of affiliates to support his cause. i don't think he needs to be bashed, but who am i to say...
