I have often heard my name called right prior to falling asleep. It's annoying.
Usually, I'll ignore it unless it was very clear. Then I'll scope the house out, just in case.

One of the weird things I have been experiencing lately as I hit the hay though, is I will hear a explosion type sound in my head and it'll actually make my body do a quick spasm/jump. Now that, I find odd.

I just have to say WOW.. I have the exact same experiences.
The name calling, the explosion sound, everything. I am reeling atm. All I can add right now is when I do hear these things and try to 'listen' I feel as if some one is talking through a soundproof door and communication is just beyond my grasp.

I have come to the conclusion the mankind is at war but not with demons or aliens. I am still surprised that I don't hear about it more than other conspiracy theories. I believe that the human race is at war with parasites. You would be amazed at what some can do to a human body. Since they have been here for millions of years I believe that some are highly intelligent with the capability to control not just animals but humans as well. Many conspiracy, and religious theories and beliefs revolve around believe in gods, demons, angels, aliens etc... Well replace them with an intelligent parasite that can take over the human brain and take control and you have something that can make you believe anything. These "worms" have taken over many of us, some by force and some by working hand in hand (not knowing what they were really communicating with) by selling their souls... One such lovely nematode would be Toxoplasma gondii... i may sound crazy but after having issues with Morgellons disease and learning that a majority of us have some sort of companion riding along with us, it just makes complete sense...

Lightmere..At least..now you know you are not alone in this. That should give you some satisfaction to know that maybe there is something else going on with people hearing voices other than it being a disorder of some kind.

As I said before it never fazed my life at all since I can't remember when I couldn't hear them. Only telling strangers I could hear voices, is when the odd stuff starts. The big problem is not being able to hear what they are saying, which is really annoying and that is the worst of the situation on hearing voices, for me that is.

I have never heard voices in my head, it was always somewhere around me and sometimes very loud noisy stuff going on. I can hear people laughing, coughing but the conversations is like being in a room full of people and not making out what any are saying. Then again it may just be one voice and it is muffled.
Just curious...didn't you ever meet anyone like yourself?

Added again....I would say alot more, but I think you probably have enough people on here that have come forward with their stories that will help you now.

Please send me a U2U if you would like to say more, I never tire of hearing about other people going through what I am also going through. Sounds to me like you are experiencing the exact same thing that I am. I really would love to talk with you more about this.
And to answer your question I have never mentioned this to any one that I know personally. So I would not know if anyone else hears these “voices/sounds” That's one of the main reasons I started the thread.
Thank you very much for your input in my thread. I hope to hear from you in the very near future ellieN

I never post unless it touches deaply. I have read this thread and please excuse my english I am Canadian french person. Those voices mmmmmm..... they have been part of my life since I can remember and I am 40 now. I was able to put everything together and let me show you my view of my voices and all of that without any medication.

Our real body is our soul that is immortal in a 3d dimmension and our physical body is our vehicule to walk on this earth for 2 dimensions to be able to feel things. The first voice you will be hearing is you, your soul. She needs to make the brain understand where it comes from and how it should live to get the maximum experience of life down hear. The other voices could be angels or other being and forces to advice you or explain to you things and also to discuss, everything is alive around you, you could even talk with a three if you wanted to.

Depends also what is happening, the energy around and usually you will hear them alone cause nothing around you to disturb the message the soul is giving thrue telepathy. That is why you hear from within you and not in your head.

Call me intelligent crazy cause I was able to control those voices to understand. I hear in my head it is bad, from withing it is good. And then I will be talking to me and myself. And those others out there that we can't see, they haven't gave me there real name yet :-)

Hope will help to clear things for you, This is my experience and my finding only, might be useful for you, who knows!

Take care and have a nice journey through your soul and good luck, it's alot of work, sacrifice cause the world we know is not the one we live in.

This is this kind of reply I enjoy reading. You are not in fear of relating your experiences and you give interesting subjects which I know of but never considered it this way.

Thanks to you for this one, I think this might help me on my way.

Thanks to you for this one. I only said my true feeling you know and we are on a conspiracy website. I truly feel there is something behind all of this. With that being said, I hope this made you think a bit on the subject. If yes, then my job on this thread is already done

Oddly enough, I seem to hear music more so than voices! I do hear voices on occassion, but it is more like I hear someone behind me whisper my name or say "what?" as if they didn't quite catch something I was saying. However the music is soft and I can hear it more like a background or 'white noise' type of sound. This is usually when all is quiet around me (which is rare considering I have three sons lol). My husband jokingly says that this is what happens when women get older, soon I'll be humming along to these tunes in my mind like his mother lmao!!

But in all seriousness, I do hear voices that seem to be coming from outside rather than in my head, same with the music, it is definately not 'in-my-head'!

This is EXACTLY what has happened to me. I would wake up un the middle of the night thinking my alarm clock was going off. I'd reach over to turn it off only to realize not only is far too early for my alarm to go off, but that it's not really going off. It's as if the my alarm clock was caught between two station and I'd hear a compilation of white noise and garbled music/voices.

This was NOT in my head. It woke me out of a dead sleep. Sometimes this would happen more than once during the course of the night, and lasted for about six months.

I was concerned and went to my doctor who 'diagnosed' me as a paranoid schizo. Well, I was in my 30's at the time and always thought that, that sort of thing sets in at a younger age. I have to confess that I did go through a time where I didn't feel safe in my house and that I was being watched. I never heard voices coming from objects. That episode did not last long, and I have not had a repeat performance. Generally, I am not a big weenie about living alone; I enjoy my privacy. She prescribed me meds that made me ill and I demanded that she take me off of them, which she did with great reluctance. I am certain I did not or do not have a mental disorder.

Recently I started going over strange child hood/young adult incidents that stick out in my mind as odd. When I was seven I woke in the middle of the night with the thought to go find my parents. Instead of going to their bedroom I walked downstairs and outside in the dead of night. BTW: the front door was laready open. I have no memory of what happened after I left the house, nor returning. But, I was ill for days afterward and my ear bled. Coincidentally (?), that is the ear that is turned closest to the alarm clock.

I don't know what it all means, but I'm not a crazy person and have had experiences with robed figures and dark shadows as well.

This is very interesting. My 13 year old daughter told me about a month ago that she has been hearing "voices" for a few months. She says that it sounds like someone is talking to her underwater and that she doesn't believe it is in her head. She feels that it is "outside" her body. She cannot make out what they are saying. She does not know if it is male or female. It does not interfere with her daily life although, she states that it is awkward at times because no one else hears it. She has begun alerting me when it happens and asking me if I hear it too.
I wonder if it is a phase, or due to her age, some sort of paranormal activity, or (I hope not) schizophrenic beginnings...Although I was adopted, there is no history, that I am aware of in my family of mental disorders.
I heard someone call my name before and I have no mental issues, and like your daughter it was in my ear not in my head.I believe something else is going on,what?
I don't know but it's becoming pretty common from what I have read. there are a few threads on ats that talk about it

back in the early 1970s, while at work, i heard what sounded like many voices.

i ignored it, but then the supervisor came and asked me if i had heard anything, that the workers were complaining.

i said yes, he said, they want to go home is that ok with you?

they shut down the plant and we went home early.

that time eveyone in the building could hear the voices.

it sounded like many people speaking at once, couldn't make out anything they were saying.

I am not sure if this counts.. Sometime I will hear some call my name as though they are right behind me. Course no one is there. It is different then just my normal thoughts. It actually seems like a rising vocalization and its not in my voice.. Course its all prolly just in my head. Never been on any meds never got tested for anything...

Everything counts, I basically wanted to know what percentage heard things outside of their heads, as in the rooms or what not around them) but I know people are too shy to post because they don’t want to be the outcasts. Or have people tell them go see a Doc.. I have got a few U2U's about this so I know I am not the only one. I think there are many more who hear things and do not post for fear of ridicule I really appreciate everyone’s posts! Thanks!

Several times throughout my life I have heard as if someone is calling my name and when I look, no one is calling me. This has also happened to some of my family members as well. I think everyone at one time or another have experienced this.

Wow I thought if I told anyone this they would think I was crazy... But i can't remember when it started but It sounded like news broadcasts. When I first heard it I thought it was someones tv or some noise from outside even when I had no t.vs on inside. It also happened about a week ago when I was out hunting with my brother( no one else around for plenty of miles). Even though I cant really make out what I hear it sounds VERY similar to some type of news. Next time it happens I'll try to listen very closely.
Btw I have no mental or physical illnesses at all.

I did a search on hearing voices, because I've been hearing them louder and clearer lately, right before I fall asleep. It used to scare me, especially when it wasn't a voice; unless it was a loud BOOM or a different loud noise. But now I just lay there and listen to see if "they/it" elaborates, but never a thing. I've read somewhere to ask questions, but I'm too scared to ask what "they/it" wants. I'm starting to think it's just part of my process of falling asleep. I already have very visual "movies" play out while falling asleep, but these voices only say my name out of the blue, and it's very clear. Weird...

Very interesting...! I've noticed that when I'm falling asleep, and my thoughts are going bonkers in my mind, that's when I usually "hear" my name being called. I'm starting to think it may be ME trying to break myself from thinking so much, and just to relax/meditate.
