New York finally modernizes and legalizes Gay Marriage.

6 states down, 44 to go.

While I still believe that sexual orientation is still a social construct and not a biological one this is fantastic news for New York. Hopefully it is a sign that bigots will be drowned out in every state. I really hope that this leads to the overturning of the DOMA.

Albany, New York (CNN) -- New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the state's marriage equality bill hours after it passed the Republican-controlled Senate on Friday night, making it the sixth state in the nation to legalize same-sex marriage.

Cuomo signed the bill into law after the legislature cleared the way to legalize same-sex marriage with a 33-to-29 vote, the first time a state legislature with a Republican majority has approved such a bill.

Gay marriage upsets the natural order of Nature. If Nature wanted 2 males to be able to reproduce, nature in its infinite Wisdom would have done so through the ages.

Sex does not always equal reproduction. Not even in the rest of the animal kingdom. Bonobos and Bottlenose Dolphins regularly engage in recreational sex with both males and females.

Why does my disagreement on homosexuality make me a hateful bigot in society's eyes?

I don't care if they get what they desire but you'll never hear me say it's an ok or good thing to do. Which is what seems to really be under attack, like they want me to say that.

Oh no, never be under the illusion that you have the right to protect your children from being exposed to this filth, or your home, or even yourself. Modernize? Sodomy has been around since the beginning of time. I personally am against it, but I'm not going to vote either way or anything like that. My problem is that I don't want children growing up seeing homosexuals making out in public, but that of course makes me a bigot. But I have reasons for being against homosexual marriage. It's against the laws of nature. Male+Female=Child but Male/Female+Male/Female=NOTHING. Sure be gay if you want but you're not helping the world in any way shape or form. It saddens me to think all those children that could be born, but aren't because of people being gay.

I've already pointed out that in nature (which humans are a part of and subject to the laws of) sex is not always conducted for reproductive purposes. As well science is continually trumping nature, soon no doubt, we will be able to create children from the DNA of two individuals of the same gender without needing a donor egg.

Im not religious or for gay marriage, but I have my reasons for being against it and in my eyes they're good reasons. Everyone has the right to their own opinions and shouldn't be called ignorant or moronic for their beliefs. The same could easily be said to you. Not saying you are or anything, but that's how humans are. We stick to our ideals and beliefs and to call someone ignorant for that is ignorance itself because you are doing the same as them

Let me put an end to the gay marriage argument before it really starts up:

Gays should be afforded the same financial rights as other couples.

But marriage is a religious term, so it should be abided to with the religious guidelines.

All you have to do is make civil unions have all the rights as married people, so all can be on same footing. Then marriage becomes just an arbitrary word.
