Remember Kids, it's not prostitution if you film it, it's a porno and pornos are legal

2nd line

excellent point, but to be on the safe side peeps should find out if you need to declare yourself a business or (kid you not) need some sort of permit. one of the few times in life $ for a lawyer consultation could really pay off.

excuses i heard in the past is how the USA is governed over by conservatives / Christians thus we got none for pay legally. now that President Obama said "..we are no longer a Christian nation; we are now a Nation of Christians, Muslims, Buddhists,.." I think we should be able to get some.

sadly it's business as usual: if you have big buck telephone escort money you're golden, if you're just a regular working taxpayer schlub you risk arrest, being placed on a sex offender registry list, maybe you get sliced up by hookers meth-head boyfriend, who knows.

you can buy cigarettes

and pay all sorts of taxes on them...but you can't smoke them in most places these days.

you can join the Army, Navy, Air Force or Marines

you may or may not come home alive...but you can't have pay-for-play among consenting adults.

This is not to my liking, and I object. Toss in a weed that grows in the wild while your at it, too. Ridiculous.

I will support prostitution when society approves pet marriage. That's right. I want to marry my pet. That doesn't imply anything intimate...it just means that I want to have the benefits of marriage, but I want my partner to be my pet. If pet marriage doesn't happen...then I won't support prostitution either.
People keep saying...oh it's all natural...Well so is my devotion to my pet(s) and I want to marry it. Not everything natural to you is natural to me and vice versa. I'll leave it at that.

Don't really agree to be honest, if two consenting adults wish to pay one or another for sex then as long as nothing funny is going on then that's their business, bit different comparing it to marrying a pet. People do far more stranger things with each without paying....

One thing I could never understand, is the law covers prostitution and there are some very well kept prostitutes.
In the meantime some sl--y nympho can tramp around Gods creation spreading all manner of nasty contrivence, the law says nothing about that. I know no laws against moral codes right ?

How's that even related to the topic? That's just pure hogwash.

Two adults agreeing on something that comes naturally? What's there to be illegal. And I've never thought of the filming angle. Bill Maher advocates legalization, many countries are now legal, and the others who outlaw it seem to be catering to some religion or other (or women, who will fear that their men really aren't at the football game after all).

When I was younger I would have preferred a prostitute rather than spending time/money at a bar in the hopes of scoring. Would have been much easier to know I could spend my money on a woman knowing what I was getting.

I have often wondered who in the world is logically opposed to legalization of prostitution, and your post finally clicked!

The alcohol industry! Why spend $60 on drinks for the hope of getting a little, when you can spend $100 on a sure thing with a prostitute, no hangover, and you still have your evening free! Legal prostitution might destroy the nightclub industry.

In case I wasn't clear, I am 100% for legalization!

Actually there have been a few cases of prosecution where a woman knowingly spreads a disease (especially AIDS). I forget the legal terms for it, but it is illegal......

Willful Negligence. Intentional performance of an unreasonable act in disregard of a known risk, making it highly probable that harm will be caused. Willful negligence usually involves a conscious indifference to the consequences. There is no clear distinction between willful negligence and gross negligence.

Source

Similar to manslaughter charges if the disease is permanent and/or fatal.

If you want to go to legalized brothels in the United States.....go to Nevada....they have several brothels in various counties that are legal.

I figure that the other states should pass laws and legalize prostitution too....because...prostitution is going to continue.....anyway....why not make it legal....have health codes and tests....provide safe places for the men and women to work.

As far as The United States of America is concerned, marriage and sexual intercourse have absolutely nothing to do with each other... It's a financial institution. Go ahead and have a concatenated financial institution with your dog, see if I care, I hope it works out for you two, I can see it lasting... nearly decades
! P.S. might be a little difficult to get a signature...

And if you're really about to get preachy, I'll have you know that abstaining from sexual intercourse as a young male is pretty unhealthy for the "baby maker" organs. If it were "God's intention", and not some ridiculous doctrine fabricated by the Church, why wouldn't he just make boys sprout testicles and girls sprout ovaries when they got married?

Brothels (as well as hard drugs) have been legal for thousands of years, and only illegal in the last 100 years or so.

It's ridiculous that our politicians and lawmakers seem to think that they can legislate things that have been legal throughout most of human history.

I'm also for legalizing it. I mean, when you get down to brass tacks, how different is it from pornography? People will argue that it degrades women, blah blah blah. Retaining these old notions that women are somehow pure and lacking in a bestial sex drive like men is absurd. Prostitution no more degrades women than it does men.

lol. Most of the people that I know who vehemently oppose legalization are actually men. Probably because they're scared that their wives aren't actually at that baking class...

Pet marriages should be legal if prostitution is made legal.

That may be one of the lamest arguments to support a position I've heard on ATS.

Ya flunk debate 101 at the Community College did ya?

That was THE most rediculous point to reference pro prostitution. Oh..But no sex with the animal.

I would laugh..but I want my 5 minutes back I spent writing this..gotta conserve my energy.

Where's that Dog?

Now that you mention it that's right. The aids thing did bring forth quite a bit of new legislation on behavior for aids patients. Well done sir.

Prostitution is not really necessary anymore. Women's morals have gotten so loose that any man can get laid for free these days and stay clean as long as he's not too lazy (or needs to be told) to put on a condom.

Back in the day, when women waited to get married and men had to actually prove themselves to get laid, prostitutes were needed. Not anymore. Any guy who has to pay for sex is just lazy!

Nowadays, all a guy has to do is look for a sex club, fetish club, h3, swingers club, etc. to get his rocks off. I guess unless the guy is REALLY ugly or has an addiction that he can't satisfy, then he might have to pay for it.

The "I guess" factor sort of refutes your entire argument. Glad nobody had to even jump in there.

Not really. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I've met plenty of men in my day that weren't the best looking, but they had an awesome personality. It's all good though cause I've never heard of a prostitute tell a guy what a huge personality he had.

Prostitution still takes place in plain view, but it's disguised as something else. Men date women and pay for their evening. Movie, dinner, drinks, then back to one of their places for sex. What's the difference? It's purely semantics as the end goal is the same. I do not, however agree with pimps exploiting them. I think the red light district has it pretty well in line with how it should operate. I would also venture to say that the rate of rapes would go down as a result of legalizing it.

I think that this implies that "every" couple/person/whoever does this. Not everyone has sex on the first night-o-the-date, you know. I don't know about the number of rapes going down, though that could happen...I don't know, is there any study or what have you to back up such a statement? Anyways, I am of the FIRM belief that the government has no place telling you what you can and can't do with your body. NONE at ALL. (Though I realize the lines are blurry here because this isn't just 'sex for fun' but 'sex for profit' and any business org (for profit) and that needs to be regulated to an extent.)
