And how much should it cost to pay them back? How much more should be spent? Gimme a break, if they haven't moved on by now, they never will.

Grow up, using past travesties as an excuse today is tired, old and stupid. Enough enabling, tell the truth, is racism the only cause, or could it quite possibly be some of their own doing?

If you wanted me to take you seriously you should have said it like this without the insult or anger.

using past travesties as an excuse today is tired , old and stupid. enough enabling.

is racism the only cause?
or could it be some of their own doing?

that would have been a much more respectful way to get your point or questions across, and more people would take you seriously and not look at you as an ignorant Racist.

now to answer you post.
I did not say past travesties I said the past. as in good or bad, war and peace. history repeats itself and if we fail to ignore it. history WILL repeat.

I fail to see how that statement above is an excuse, tired, or old; and stupid well that's just more bashing and name calling so ill ignore that.

tell you the truth is racism the only cause? cause of what unemployment? no its not the only cause.

could it be their own doing? I am assuming you mean African American Unemployed.

everyone plays their part in this I don't like to generalize people into groups we are all individuals.
with knowledge of the past we can learn from our mistakes and our triumphs as humans, and in doing so will stop repeating the negative.

So everytime you lose an arguement you start belittleing people? Adults? You act like a true closet racist in denial of his/her history. Up till the 70s in many states blacks had their own bathrooms, water fountains, social clubs and always sat at the back of the bus.

In the southern usa this type of mentality might still be prevalent up to a degree, but most people understand racism for what it is and was. Negros were viewed as third class citizens, lower than southern europeans and asians. If you were black you could not run for president, and even now that president Barack Obama is half-white and half-black all the right wing birthers are attacking him for not being an american citizen. If your black you can't win...even today!

What argument did I lose? I asked a simple question, it was never answered, instead (gasp) the race card was played. I live in the south, so don't try and lecture me about the south or how the world works down here. Go play with your fellow apologists and enablers. Facts are facts and excuses are excuses....deal with it. The Obama reference was funny......I guess generalizing works on both sides huh?

Your welcome!

I hear that the average white person in America has 87 thousand dollars worth of assets and the average black person has 3 thousand.

Generations of being left out of the mainstream is the reason for this, not any reason of inferiority of black people.

Until the 1960’s black people were mainly forbidden to have any input in the mainstream society in education, industry, economics, politics, and everything else.

Many white people here have had their grand parents, and great grand parents earning wealth such as home ownership for generations, and the same lineage of the average black persons were deprived of being able to do the same therefore you have the stark difference of average wealth in the two races.

For generations black people couldn’t rent housing in certain areas, get jobs in many sectors of the economy, even ride on buses except in the back, and you people wonder why blacks are at the bottom of the economic ladder!

Not to mention up until the 60’s blacks were murdered and lynched when they protested their second class citizenship, or even looked at a white woman.

Also, it was the freedom movement of the sixties by black people for black equality that opened up the same rights for white woman, other racial minorities, and even immigrants.

You lost the arguement and no race card was played. I stated facts about negro history and you continue to insult people who disagree with your twisted views. And the Obama reference/example was VERY rellevant and NOT funny!

Pretty sure they get these figures from the amount of people are claiming unemployment money. There really is no way to tell otherwise unless they are counting heads with google earth.

That doesn't happen where I live. The black person would be hired in order to avoid a descrimination problem.

So how does that 34% live if they don't work? Mom and pop can't do everything! Maybe they are into illegal occupations and thus don't file W-2 employment papers, pay no taxes, no unemployment, no disability, social security, etc

Not that its really worth paying into state programs as most of the money is wasted left and right!

Middle class white kids can't get jobs. No way the average poor black male teen ager is going to be given a chance. Face it. Like it or not, a young black man is still scary to many people, whether justified or not. Our society teaches us that if two young men are available for work you need done, if all else is equal the white kids gets the job because he will seem less scary. Speaking the truth is not racist and I am not rendering judgment on the poor black kid; he must and will do what he needs at this point to survive. The hard fact is that many of us white folks won't be far behind. Our money is running out too and there are no jobs.
edit on 20-6-2011 by pajoly because: (no reason given)

i'll admit probably the best job i ever had i got because i walked in with white skin. it was in a small lily-white office i walked in to, these people were actually relieved to see me. i was a young guy at the time and this had not happened to me before. they were a branch office of a HUGE American telecommunications company that years later sold off the entire Business Communications Corporation division to a French Government-owned telco (Alcatel) and all our easy-money jobs went bye-bye.

they had a huge crew of business telephone & intercom installers, repair guys & cable pullers, the only non-white guy was Spanish. later when we merged our branch office elsewhere to consolidate with the local sales branch they had 1 non-white. Art was in charge of the salespeople.

Twisted views? "When everyone else is wrong, it's time to look in the mirror" applies here. At what point does the past become the past? Using the blame game isn't winning, it's enabling, nothing more nothing less. I didn't know this was about winning, as apparently the topic at hand sure isn't about winning, rather blaming and dividing. However, see it as you will, I'm sure you see racists at every turn, typical of those seeking to blame others.

I have no ill will towards you, In-fact I hope you better understand yourself through our engagement. I hope you reconsider your attitude and understand that black people are just like you, human beings trying to have a decent life, and that they have had a rough time in America through no fault of there own. And certainly the black people who indulge in anti-social behavior shouldn’t be excused because of the historical and institutional racism in America. Indeed, black people who do indulge in such behavior should be treated accordingly, but on the most part it must be noted that the noble black race have admirably rose above their plight.

Therefore I bid you . . . go in peace and sin no more!

Which is it? Illegals are lazy and refuse to speak English and take up all the social services or they steal all the work from the white man.
