I'm about as far left as you can get. I'm pretty wacky. However, I'm here because I don't like what I see happening to the world. That does include the US where I reside. Even if I'm going to be a minority, I'd like to see an end to the corruption.

Honestly - - I don't even know what Left and Right mean anymore.

The only conclusion I've come to - - is "Liberal" is the catch all bucket for anything an individual person doesn't agree with.

shuddap, if they do what they intended to do and replace god with law then what does it matter. Besides, your god is a fragmented mistranslated and further watered down then air soup. So why not deal away with him and make room for something physical like say law. You want to practice god, go ahead. But I really mind pledging my loyalty to the USA and not Under God.

Too bad they apologized.

I'm seeing more and more Right Wing Christians acting not unlike the Muslim extremists they love to hate. I think if given free reign to do so, these Right Wing Christians would love to transform this country into an intolerant Christian state and engage in full-on Holy war with all those outsiders they oppose.

Separation of Church and State. Since when did God need to be referenced in the Pledge of Allegience for you to follow the teachings of Christ? Since when is a Church required at all for you to follow the teachings of Christ or to maintain a relationship with God? Will Christians ever learn to follow the teachings of Christ or have they always been followers of hypocrisy... Have they always practiced a more "Anti"-Christ philosphy? Makes me wonder sometimes if the Church itself is the anti-Christ.

I dunno, but I think it comes down to our country, forcing our school kids in a negative way, to say "under God" in the P.O.A.; or else.

Thats why I applaud NBC's decision to remove the "under God" statement, that harkens back to the Macarthy era.

These "schrul" kids are sometimes under scrutiny by there fellow classmates who sometimes are religious zealots; that are brainwashed by there parents so much, that they sometime commit acts of ridicule and bullying against the brave kids who refuse too say "under God" in the P.O.A.

God? Well, who in the heck's "God" are they talking about. I certainly hope they are not thinking about my Gaod. Because it would be a shameful act in religious propaganda; to say that my Gaod represents a nation that doesn't even acknowledge the existence of Gaod by preventing full ET disclosure.

So, this is where politically correct has got us.

The Government controlled MSM has decided God is to "edgy" I guess. We wouldn't want to offend any other groups of people, would we?

I for one am sick and tired of trying to please everybody. This country was founded on Christian principles, like it or not.

I want my God back in the Pledge of Allegiance, a pledge to a once great country, that hopefully one day will be great again.

IF that offends anybody, they can kiss my American butt.

www.washingtonpost.com
(visit the link for the full news article)

Except that it wasn't. We proved this to you over and over and over and over again in countless threads and you just won't frakking listen. And you wonder why religious people are mocked?

Wasn't the pledge of allegiance originally without "Under God" in it.

Then later had this added to it in the 1950s.

Just more things from people who want to force us beneath their religion. History or no, it is time to recognize that this country is secular and we should not continue carrying on religious traditions..

And lol, since when has the government controlled MSM? I see it the other way around.

YES! It replaced "E Pluribus Unum" - (Out of Many - One). Basically in support of immigrants - - of what the United States is made of.

ALL citizens do not believe in a God. To make a government pledge invoking a God - - - is an insult to those citizens of non-belief in a secular government.

It is purely 100% wrong.

And in Tiger's early career I think he won by a 14 point lead. He was told not to be a show off.

Lest we forget.

We've got far bigger problems than this BS.

Holy Schnikey's!!!! They cut out "under God"....they must be satanists!!!

What's even more hilarious is that many who are angry about this vote Republican with the Ayn Rand believers.

We need jobs....not an all out war on whether 'under God' is in the frickin pledge of allegiance or not.

Does it really change anything either way? NO IT DOESN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!

Except he was the youngest guy to win in 88 years - Bobby Jones was the youngest so far, in 1923 ....so good math there

Hitler Youth Pledge of Allegiance

"I promise to do my duty in love and loyalty to the Führer and our flag."

Hitler Youth Prayer

"Adolf Hitler, you are our great Führer. Thy name makes the enemy tremble. Thy Third Reich comes, thy will alone is law upon the earth. Let us hear daily thy voice and order us by thy leadership, for we will obey to the end and even with our lives. We praise thee! Hail Hitler!"

"Führer, my Führer, give me by God. Protect and preserve my life for long. You saved Germany in time of need. I thank you for my daily bread. Be with me for a long time, do not leave me, Führer, my Führer, my faith, my light, Hail to my Führer!"

Hitler Youth Motto for Boys

"Live Faithfully, Fight Bravely, and Die Laughing!"

Why?

"I begin with the young. We older ones are used up. We are rotten to the marrow. We are cowardly and sentimental. We are bearing the burden of a humiliating past, and have in our blood the dull recollection of serfdom and servility. But my magnificent youngsters! Are there any finer ones in the world? Look at these young men and boys! What material! With them, I can make a new world. This is the heroic stage of youth. Out of it will come the creative man, the man-god."

"When an opponent declares, 'I will not come over to your side,' I say calmly, 'Your child belongs to us already. What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing but this new community' ."

"...Knowledge would spoil my young people. I prefer that they learn only what they pick up by following their own play instinct. But they must learn self-control. I will have them master the fear of death through the most difficult trials. That is the heroic stage of youth. Out of it will grow the stage of the free man, a human being who is the measure and center of the world."

"The German youth must be slender and supple, fast as a greyhound, tough as leather, and hard as Krupp steel. He must learn to do without, to endure criticism and injustice, to be reliable, discreet, decent, and loyal."- Adolph Hitler

Get them stupid kids to repeat blind faith mantras over and over again. Get them early. Get them often. Get them hard. Embed. Instill. Indoctrinate.

Under God my ass.

I personally would like to see them remove all mention of God from our society. Remove them from the building in DC, remove them for our constitution so it would say one country under State ruled and controlled by the state. There would be no freedom of anything that was not granted by the state. No freedom of the press of speech no freedom of association. The news would be controlled by the state if you did not toe the state line there would be the reeducation camps for that. Only one child like in China, you would be told from child hood what you would be when you grow up to the greatest benefit for the state and the state aling. Yea I think we would be better off with no God in this USA. /sarc

yep the atheists take every opportunity to kill god and make it a dirty word

and replace government with it.

i pledge allegiance to the government of the united agencies of government, and to the democracy which is nothing but mob rule and seek to diminish the rights of the minority cause hell we feel like it.

one nation under government, indivisible.with slavery and oppression for all.

nbc and the left would be happy with that.

kill god to become god.

No one is telling Christians not to say God.

If anyone is looking to take rights away it seems to be Right Wing Christians who would love to take womens' right to choose, or even the right to build a mosque or cultural center wherever zoning allows, or the rights of gays to marry each other... In fact time and time again when issue of Rights come up, it's those Right Wing Christians who are first to demand rights not be granted or even taken away.

Atheists don't replace God with Government... What a ridiculous statement. You consistently exhibit troll-like behavior.
