So how is a intelligent person suppose to receive a understanding of a point of view?

Just stop watching the joke known as faux news. Even Rupert Murdock said fox isn't a news service it's a infotainment service.

FoxNews.is the network being discussed in the OP. That's really the topic here. That and Stewart's comparison of it to an ideological regime.

"Stewart hits the nail on the head AGAIN" .... opening line.
Stewart and his so-called ability to call it like it is.

Stewart didn't hit the nail on the head. He only got it partly right. He may be calling out FOX for leaning right, (which he exaggerates with saying it's 'idiological regime') but he totally ignores MSNBC which is a far left shill machine and more 'regime' then any of the other networks.

He's a left wing commedian. Nothing more.

FOX is part and parcel of the Republican party. Not even a debatable point. Others may have a bias, but I don't see them bald face lying to scue to their talking points.

With an opinion like that, it's obvious that you haven't watched MSNBC at all.

FOX = Republican
CNN = lean left (not as bad as it was under Clinton)
MSNBC = Absurdly far left shill machine. (Has Mica ever had a reasonable conversation in her life??)

You said it perfectly. He's no different than the republican politicians he throws mud at and the democrats he sucks up to. Making money ... plays loose and fast with the facts .... refuses to admit the truth about MSNBC, CNN, NY Times, etc because they play on his left wing side of the playground ....

You don't watch MSNBC or CNN very often, do you?

If you're going to sit there and say with a straight face that Fox is just as balanced in opinion as CNN or MSNBC is, then you're only lying to yourself.

If you're going to sit there and say with a straight face that MSNBC offers balanced opinions, then you're only lying to yourself.

Yes, MSNBC has a liberal slant, and CNN is sometimes accused of having a liberal slant (although these days I wouldn't even agree with that). However, neither station so actively promotes an agenda as Fox does.

Bud .... MSNBC has more than justa 'liberal slant'. It's a far left shill machine. Do you even watch it? The reason their ratings are through the floor are because of mindless shills like Mica, 'Thrill up my leg' Matthews, and far left meltdown whacks like Keith Oblahblah. (the MSNBC far left mindless shill list goes on and on and on ...)

Fox actively promotes their right wing agenda but you are kidding yourself when you say that MSNBC isn't a mirror image ... actively promoting their far left agenda ... with just as much vigor and just as much absurdity.

the comedy channel is the court jester of our modern age

Fox news has only one agenda, to maintain the status quo, the fleecing of America by corporate criminals.
and keep their fat cash coming in.

the pharmaceutical "industry", who charge Americans substantially more than in other countries for just about every drug.
the reason 1/6th of our gdp goes to health care.
to contain the cost of heath care, this problem has to be addressed.

the financial sector's high interest rates on credit cards, that impair our recovery.
the hedge funds, that play the commodity market, driving up the price of fuel, food, etc.

the endless list of millionaires living off government welfare subsidies.
the dairy industry, oil companies, corn ethanol, etc, etc, etc.

Fox stands for no solution to any of our national financial problems other than trashing the elderly.
cut benefits for the old, keep the cash coming for the uber rich.
while protecting every obcene tax privilege to the corporations.

that the comedy channel has an easy source of comedy material from these hypocrites is obvious.
Fox is the voice of political prostitutes working for these financial criminals fleecing America.

to continue on our present path will eventually lead to another financial collapse.
with a bankrupt federal government expected to again pick up the pieces.

and the left has brought us the social programs that allow the drug addicts and other socially irresponsible to make a career of living off society.
most of our social programs, as they are run, are a scam.
one could make a comedy show just on the shrinks, and their carreer clients living off society.

but all considered, The Daily Show is much more honest than Fox "news"

Stewart - the star of The Daily Show, refused to admit that MSNBC and NY Times are far left shill machines with an agenda. He either lied or he's blind. He is part of the dishonest propaganda that is pushed at America via TV every day. How you can say that The Daily Show is 'much more honest' .... well ....

Jon and his writers are busy scouring all the network "news" sources and blogs looking for material. Whenever they find something blatantly false or outrageous, the work it into their programming....no matter the source. I've seen him hammer liberals plenty of times but, it just so happens they stumble on so much more outrageousness on FOX "news".

Jon calls himself a comedian while FOX calls themselves news.....which do you believe??

he admits to being a comedian, and laughs at the contradictions in human society.

Fox News reports such as a "no new taxes" pledge, as if this is good for our Country.
and will repeat this hundreds of times a year.
free political adds for the politicians using this devious ploy.

letting everyone raping the tax code know that their gig is safe.
and send your adds and political contributions.
it's so dishonest, they propably went to the same colleges at the tv evangelists.
throw simplistic code words for your ideology, and watch the faithful send their cash
look at Sarah Palin, they give her much coverage, yet all she does is feed the addiction of her followers(ideology) to keep the cash coming.
most people at Fox are in a priesthood of ideology, with little regard to reality, the only concern being to keep the base indoctrinated.
remember the smirk on the faces of Fox when they talked about death panels.
they knew it was a lie, but that their constituency would eat the poison, they are addicted to lies and they love it.

the buget can never be balanced as long as the tax code is not rewritten, and the give aways have not, at least, been moderated.
"no new taxes" is ideology, not reality.

Fox is an old fashion 1930 style propaganda media, with modern technology.

You must be joking. These were the questions asked?

# Most economists estimate the stimulus caused job losses (12 points more likely)

# Most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit (31 points)

# The economy is getting worse (26 points)

# Most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring (30 points)

# The stimulus legislation did not include any tax cuts (14 points)

# Their own income taxes have gone up (14 points)

# The auto bailout only occurred under Obama (13 points)

# When TARP came up for a vote most Republicans opposed it (12 points)

# And that it is not clear that Obama was born in the United States (31 points)

You can't be serious. Anyone could make a similar list of leading questions about GWB that would make MSNBC viewers look like cretins.

he says there isn't anything wrong with them.

Ironic that Stewart's own main source of info is Fox News, isn't it? He certainly doesn't dig out the info by himself - he has his staff cherry pick a mistake or vague statement from Fox and then makes it look like he is such a brilliant analyst.

He's nothing more than a charlatan, is all. An information ambulance chaser.

You hit the nail on the head, bud. He's clearly shilling for the left and none of his viewers care because it suits their own political leanings. They even defend him by saying "Oh, he's been making fun of the left, lately." Yeah, LATELY. But, let's be honest, when Bill Clinton was on the show he practically blew him live on the air.

You watch fox and absorb it mindlessly.....when he takes what you just watched and shows it to you for what it is, you're repulsed by what you're seeing. why is that?

He simply makes you realize what you're being told and you hate him for it.......now that's funny!

Oh gee another Fox News Bash session. Fox is clearly a minority in the bizarro world of the MSM. Stewart clearly acknowledged "liberal bias", unfounded "racist" labeling by the liberals etc.

Liberal bias in the MSM news stream, Hollywood and music is alarming. They dominate every medium and yet that are running scared of one lonely "fair and balanced" network in a cesspool of liberal hypocrisy and mediocrity.

Kind of funny. Must be all of those top ratings that Fox commands. They are scared because the people have woken up and are wise to the liberal/progressive media agenda. The 2008 election opened a massive can of worms that the liberals are now wishing had not been opened.

Case in point

Guess you aren't the only one NOT READING WHAT I WROTE.

I said that FOX does the republican thing. They have a right wing agenda. So how EXACTLY am I 'absorbing FOX mindlessly' when I already said that they are right wing?

YOUR problem, 3dman, is that you can't handle when MSNBC is exposed for the far left shill machine that it is. To use your words ... 'you watch MSNBC and absorb it mindlessly'.

Geeeze ... grow up people ... Just because I can see through the far left bull spewing out of MSNBC doesn't mean I lap up FOX. It isn't a 'pick one or the other' thing. If only the yahoos here would actually READ what I wrote, they'd save themselves a tidal wave of embarrassment!

With so many people out there who would love to pretend FOX is no different than the other networks... I ask you... how many paid commentators on the other networks are potential candidates for President of the United States?

FOX is different. FOX misinforms and they fought for their right to lie. I truly don't understand the allegience to such a false and intentionally misinforming institution. I can only guess they tell the lies you want to hear.

Seems like the perfect thread to add this given the comments Stewart made in this interview

In an interview with the AP, MSNBC President Phil Griffin bragged about life after Keith Olbermann, touting the cable channel as "really the place to go for progressives."

Griffin didn't bother denying the liberal bent of the network. He highlighted left-wing anchor Rachel Maddow, hyping, "She really has elevated the discussion and is in many ways the model that we want for cable news."

I guess they have to be proud of something...But hearing this straight from the horses mouth.... What can I say. Keep up the good Work MSNBC now we know why you work so hard for your fellow Progressive in the White House.

newsbusters.org...

Notice what he said... Maddow is "the model that we want for cable news" If they got their way, apparently all cable news would be cut from the same progressive cookie cutter. All even, all pre programmed all spoon fed all the time.

i could go on anyone can do links.

its a given stewart and you have your rose colored glasses on and substitute your reality for what is reality.

Are you serious? You listed 5 articles citing the same poll declaring FOX News the most trusted news org.

Stewart referred to, and aptness supplied links to, studies showing Fox Viewers as the most misinformed of any any news organizations followers.

Believing what you are told does not make it by default true

Fox News ranks highest for factually misinforming it's viewers while those same viewers see Fox as the most credible of the news organizations.

That combination speaks clearly to Fox's idealogical agenda and unapologetic propagandist view toward it's viewers.

Roger Ailes
President of Fox News Channel,
Chairman of the Fox Television Stations Group
Media consultant for Republican Presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George H. W. Bush,
A producer for Rush Limbaughs short lived TV show.
Called NPR a bunch of "Nazi's"
Fox News "Fair and Balanced"

Can you tell which one of the above is not true?
