And yes they hire posters to hit blog and news story comment sections and of course, politically focused forums such as these.

Both sides do that,

Honestly I don't see many real neocons on the forum,

Define Neocon for me please, your definition.

People have different beliefs and values,

Not uncommon, several times a year.

As someone who calls myself conservative, I can say that you are not a NeoCon. You know exactly the people and tactics I speak of.

You are willing to have an open discussion based on facts and functionality. The NeoCons are not.

In fact, there are a few ATS NeoCons that have made comments on this thread so far, yet they have not talked about specific points which I refered to.

S&F

Yes for the sake of all that is still good in this world, and while the Earth and humanity is not 100% broken - this vile invasion of the Neocons must certainly be stopped in its tracks right now, before it's too late!

Before we know it - PNAC propaganda & lies about WMD's and warmongering slogans about pre-emptive strikes which would be slaughtering innocent women and children everywhere, could be spread to all forums and to other parts of ATS - I can see the effects of this looming threat already!

It's a trend, I tell ya!

Any suggestions on how we will fight this invasion?

Can we launch a counter-invasive operation?

Any effective and good anti-neocon repellents out there?

You must undoubtedly know how left leaning this forum was in the past?

Did you miss the Bush years?

The response to those who disagree with them is the biggest giveaway to their motives and standards. When faced with facts that squash a certain belief they may hold,

That works both ways SS, I been hounded and attacked on the forum for my views or even just for starting a topic that doesn't fit into certain peoples agendas.

People have agendas yes, they have motives, they have a desire to stifle opinions and information that might show their particular candidate in a bad light,

I do want to reach people with facts, I would never intentionally mislead someone.

I was here for the Bush years (Been reading ATS since 2005), actually you didn't need to be an ATS reader, it was same in all society and that was, that iif you weren't for us you were against us! That was the general mantra of the Bush era. God forbid you questioned the wars, or the motives of Bush, you were UNPATRIOTIC!

ATS may have had a fair share of unhappy patrons with Bush, but the "neocons" were there to set you straight and label you basically a traitor for even thinking what American was doing was not just.

Sheep, love the comment in your OP about neocons calling people "Obama lovers" if you don't agree with them. Not like we can just have civil arguments without labels and derogatory comments anymore.

Again? Seems like some one is under the impression every other day that ATS is being invaded. Oddly, it is rarely an invasion by the same group.

Sometimes it is the CIA invading.Sometimes it is neocons, sometimes it is robots....Sometimes it is JUST YOUR IMAGINATION.

Look, just because people have an opinion of their own and it happens to be different than yours, does not mean they are a part of some group looking to bring dis-info or any other such thing....

We are all just individual members here.... With our own opinions.... Some will agree with you, some will not.

Those who disagree, are not enemies... They are people.... With different opinions....

Would you accuse a coworker of being a neocon if they disagreed with what color paper the new memo should be printed on?

I would hope not.

As already noted in this thread, I think it's tied to the election cycle...but its not only "neocons." Everybody who is succeptable to such things gets whipped up in a frenzy and starts seeing their personal ideological enemy, be it left or right, under every rock.

I can't stand the election years on the Internet because otherwise sane people tend to polarize themselves absurdly. Its the nature of politics. The Mods will become extra-busy shunting topics off to "Political Madness" and whipping out the "political trolling" or "off topic" bans.

Fortunately ATS is such that the majority of people are not too bound by rigid ideology...although as the election approaches I can almost hear the attitudes hardening...

I am not talking about simple differences in ideology here, I am referring to the biased, intellectually dishonest mantra that this certain sect of the Right Wing regurgitates in the face of opposition.

For example, Birther Threads.

I was under the impression that even though we could theorize and discuss the inner conspiracy within any topic, that we had to have hard evidence to consider the matter solved. Instead, we have threads that pop up, with no evidence other than NeoCon propaganda from the Likes of Corsi, and yet it is considered to be done....over...the Obama conspiracy is solved! He is Kenyan-born and not allowed to be president!

Yet if you actually question the validity of the so-called evidence, you are called an Obama loving socialist Marxist. There is no wiggle room for things like facts and common sense.

Another example: War on Terror

Even though I am a conservative, I disagree with the war and the basis on which it was started. You can disagree with the governments version of 9/11, but if you refuse to use that as justification for was in the Middle East you can be labeled as a terrorist sympathizer.

Once again, it is a war of words by a specific group that will not allow dissent, and do so in the name of freedom and patriotism.

But the left does the same thing.

I post info on Palin's record, the next post says but she is a she idiot, happens all the time.

She does have accomplishments, it is the hate Meme, I have never seen anything quite like it directed to any other person and their family.

Yes, there are people on the left that make similar comments, but I am not talking about the knee-jerk reaction of a liberal or two, or a conservative either.

This is a well-organized system of "trickle-down fascism" that starts with the talking heads on TV and radio, repeated over and over by politicians and it slowly makes its way to the masses of people who are more concerned with their quality of American patriotism than they are about the simple truth.

Could the liberals do this? Sure, I guess they could. But have they done it on the scale of which I am talking about? No, not a chance in hell!

No one ever wins these arguments, posters come, posters go, if they break TOS they will be gone, no one likes to be attacked and humiliated on the forum,

I'm surely not trying to "win" the argument. There is no grand prize to be had if I did. I am simply trying to point out that this certain section of the Right Wing has taken any chance of logical discussion of the issues and turned into an inquisition of one's patriotism, intelligence, etc.
