It's entirely probable that anonymous is both a real hacktivist group with good goals and that it is also a government run psyop.
Look at what happened to the tea party, then it became the tea party express (Republican takeover)

When any group gains real power to interfere or builds a reputation a carbon copy comes along to subvert and demonize the movement,

Just be very careful where you hold your cards people.
The government does not play fair and your future is at stake.

Aye, look at how the "Good Men Project" is trying to hijack the MRM. Most of the people behind that website where cheering alongside Andrea Dworkin. They where/are leaders in the Men's Study academia classes(basically a feminist class that totally attacks men, the world renowned expert and leader in that field got a sex change recently because he/she felt so ashamed of his/her gender, that is how out there they really are).

The only way forward is to not trust words but listen to results and look for motives.

So some of you think Anonymous is directed by our government? If so, that's pretty sick. It's like a conspiracy within a conspiracy...

this is fantastic I can only hope it goes to plan, although I can't help but wonder when we'll see similar attempts in western europe and other first world countries.

We really need them...

if i were part of TPTB/CIA/disinfo agt./gov/etc.etc. then Anon/Lulzsec/etc. would be too easy a guise to not use for spreading/causing mischief and mayhem.
only one who is confident that they will not have to answer for this sort of "crime" would spout such an open deceleration... or, also, an actual, idiotic, underage person would, too.
anyone and everyone is/can be anon. no one is anon. see the prob?
not saying a hit on Bernanke isn't a good thing... but if/when this does occur it just means someone other is making/or will use this to make a power move.... if power is swayed, if the root cause of this is internal.

once upon a time, if listened to closely and carefully enough, during the right age and hour, anon was somewhat a faint whisper of the raw, raspy, refreshing voice of our collective unconscious... like a baby speaking its first words. but, that was years ago. nowadays it is just a stagnant echo of expired catchphrases with utterly bad breath.... in a few years more, if it remembers and chooses, maybe it will mature further. or, it will just fall back into the recycling circle, like how "discordianism" became "lulz".

I wonder if the Facebook "Likes" exploitable, imagine each Likes bombard the Wall Street servers...

ok back to discussion
I wonder what will happen if Anon cannot deliver. Hmmm whats next ?

Can the real hacker please stand up?

Seriously when are all these supposed cyber geniuses going to smell the coffee and do something decent with their skills? Wikileaks was prety tame and its not hard, actually quite easy, to get something many times better, more controversial and implicating in its damage. Im sure now that wikileaks was part of a 'controlled release of steam' from the pressure cooker of corruption and overt criminality that is happening.

Its supposed to be part of the counterculture but i guess with mitnik and others they seem to hve driven home a fair bit of fear perhaps, but still with a little bit of skills some real nice monkey wrenches can be thrown into the cogs of tyranny!

seems to me that the author of that video needs to learn the rules of the internet, especially rule 65.

rule 65 : anonymous is not your personal army.
i'm not sure how exactly this person thinks nonviolant protest will get bernanke fired? that seems completely delusional.
unless the author is just doing it for the lulz of course.

also unless you believe fox news, maybe 10% of anon are hackers, the rest are newbies, wannabes and liars.
then again that seems to be most of the internet.

If you want to catch hackers who are against the system so they can't conspire against the bigger conspirators, its a perfect method.

There are already hackers from anonymous arrested, so they didn't cover their tracks well enough or have a mole.

why not close down the Fed in the first place... why just make the chairman resign and install a new one... not the man is the prob... the institution per se is

Sadly, because of the nature of the message, it could be nonsense spewed by an overly optimistic few. or one.

Ultimately, 'announcing' actions like this is poor strategy.

But hey, it makes for entertainment when watching the media machines gyrate and spin....

Isn't that the truth?
Never tell someone you are going to shove them off a cliff.

Why offer the chance to scream for help, hide the evidence or run for cover?

You walk in, you smile and just shove.

In m y opinion anonymous are not for the people , they are most likley hackers going under this guise hired by a big company to take down the world leaders to install a new even more powerful behemoth which will control the world and the people on it !

I admire these guys.
It's not just one, but an entire social network of hackers all around the world, most whom don't ever know each other, yet are combining forces and step by step showing that the mega world that runs our lives can so easily be taken down.

Setting an example for everyone else who is pissed off and wanting changed to happen. Lighting the fire that will quickly ignite into an uncontrolled fire ball that will only continue to grow and expand as time moves on*quickly*

I'm rootin' for you Anonymous, too all who you may be!!! Keep up the good battle!!!! This is only the beginning!!!

Wow these cats are going after the big boys. This shzt will go down ugly. This smacks to me like some false flag operation. The result being "the need to regulate the internet." THEY've been wanting to shut down the truth for a while.

You know when dictators take over a country they have to stop the information flow first...then grab the guns

More power to Anon! I hope they are able to cause some major headaches for the elite
Its about time the rich suffer some stress if you ask me.

I think this anonymous thing is getting way overhyped.
From the supporters as well as the opponents.
I have not seen anything interesting coming from them.
It's all just YouTube clips on one side and politicians/media screaming bloody murder on the other.
Waste of time.
What happened to good old fashioned protests?
I guess leaving the monitor and actually go out on the streets would just go too far.

I think of Anonomous as more of a trigger for change that the Government actually fears. Its only comparatively recently that the public have learned that the model of politics we all thought we had, is rubbish and what we have is actually something we would never have agreed to or voted for.

Governments can only function with the people's cooperation. General strikes like the one in Greece stop so many things that its impossible to govern. The earlier video shows Obama's policies don't appear to be designed to improve jobs for the American people. How far away is the USA?

Because they are anonomous you can't set up a group to either infiltrate them or act against them. You might pick a few up but they probably have no central to stop all of them.

I saw someone ask if its possible to shut the internet off and they were told you can't do it. Its because Government, business virtually every walk of life uses it and we would grind to a halt without it. If that's right then a Government could not communicate either and the web would have to be reopened pretty sharply. You can't take the computer or its web out from our systems.

I've said it before if anonymous want to make them change , then they need to take control of the worlds nuclear arsenal in every country , then and only then will they listen!

Again if we humans want our internet to survive we need to launch our own satellites
i suggest a pay pal account to launch the revolution satellite which will go into orbit and feed us our internet
