What a great post. While I had read the terms on threads, I actually didn't know what troll or disinfo agents were. I thought trolls watched but didn't post. It was a very fun read.

They hijack threads and spew their versions of morality while avoiding the topic or lending anything of real value to the discussion. Once upon a time I'd go after them with facts but quickly realized it was a waste of time. I've seen members here get baited into whole off topic discussions and they go down pointless and meaningless banter. btw when I first got here I was baited all the time & during that time stooped to that level & trolled myself. These days I do neither but I will slam anyone (as best I can within the context of the topic) who tries to troll me because frankly they deserve it... that said I think you're approach will get better results

Geez! It's so.... NEAT! I expected to see overturned scotch bottles, twinkie wrappers piled up, overflowing ash trays, and a bra hanging off the corner of it!

The most important part of this entire thread is to NOT give the trolls/disruptors any attention, to not even post, which acknowledges and gives them the initiative to continue trolling.

This is an important reminder especially for a place like ATS.

Okay well it has been hot down here lately a drought in this area actually, my catfish pond needed the water, so when I ran outside I decide to leave my pants off to exfoliate my testicles as I ran with glee head pointed in the air like I was running from a rabid zombie chicken.

Thankfully the Tanado touched for a like 15 seconds an only ruined my friends pear tree down the old red dirt road, but I got my chainsaw out and now I have me some fresh pears for about a week for my graceful presence.

Wow, excellent post Slayer! One of the best post I ever seen on a conspiracy site. Those pics you made for the dis-info agents is EXACTLY how I have always pictured them to be...To be lined up side by side in little cubicles in a building much like a telemarketing job.


To expand on your dis-info agent theory I think each agent is assigned about 4-5 "identities". These identities each have accounts on various sites like myspace...facebook..........and yes conspiracy forums.



You know what the dis agent really is? Its like the "digital"men in black. 25 years ago if someone saw a UFO and told their neighbor and a few others they would get a visit by a man in black who would knock on their door and ask "What did you see tonight?" and they would say "I saw a flying saucer" then the MIB would reply "You saw a WEATHER balloon" and then they would say "But...I saw a" and he would cut them off " YOU SAW a weather balloon." I am seeing this same activity on conspiracy forums. Some one walks in and says they saw strange patterns on a weather radar for example and here comes those info agents to tell them what they saw was this or that when clearly it is NOT normal. These agents are there to end ANY belief in anything out of the ordinary on conspiracy sites. Some are much more clever than others with their debunking attempts.

But one things for certain..There is SO much of this stuff going on these days I dunno who is real and who is fake any more. And thats EXACTLY how they want it. Being outside the "box" is a gift I think more than anything and the thing these people cant figure out thought they try extensively to do so. They may not know how exactly some of us work but I think they HAVE devised methods to spot us and root us out.

The thing with the trolls I had never heard before in detail but I find it very interesting. I always thought "trolls" on the net were teenage punks who liked to cause drama but I am starting to see what you are saying now that I think about it.

I`m a lurker.

A lurker is someone who regularly read forums, blogs or etcetc..... but never post themselves or so rarely post that most/all people have no clue as to who they are even though they might have been there for years and years. Didn't bother reading the entire thread to see if anyone else posted a definition.

As for me I just cba to post, MOST of the time.

I actually like trolling some things. It's kind of fun depending on where and how you do it. There are just some times that annoying people anonymously is incredibly entertaining. I don't know what it is that draws me to do it at times, other than extreme boredom. Magnets, how do they work?

I don't know if I've ever actually been able to consider myself a "sheeple"....what's the singular of that anyhow? There have been times where I chose to not pay attention to some things because it's more stuff that will way heavily on my mind than I really need. I guess that sometimes I've been under the effect of the "kool-aid" because of strong belief in something. Like the Marine Corps for example. I used to believe everything Marine Corps was the bee's knees. But after a while, I realized that it wasn't all I was led to believe. Yeah, I'll admit it. I was actually as closed to brainwashed I would get before I realized that I was drinking the wrong kool-aid.

Being a dis-info agent is a farce. C'mon, really? Even if it was an "order from higher" I wouldn't waste my time trying to convince people of something that isn't. Unless it benefited me directly. Hey, I'm only human. Though I've trolled as a dis-info agent before. Haha, yeah, that's sometimes fun to do. But I always rectified doing it after by letting people know I was only kidding. I honestly think that a real dis-info agent would never be on ATS. The common man wouldn't take this site seriously in the first place. Just saying, no offense to anyone, but the common man categorizes anything that relates with aliens, UFOs, ghosts, etc. as folklore. Stories told by crazies. Because you know, the common man ain't never been about no aliens, UFOs or ghosts. And I'm going to stop here because I am starting to ramble and I don't know if I'm even making sense anymore.

I see no substance or relevance to any discussion at all. Posting a few badly edited photos and defining the word "Troll" is not a very good reason to start a thread.

I'm sure a large percentage of people here know what a troll is.

Either way, it sounds like more "trojan horse-ish" propaganda to me. The OP makes references to people calling other people "sheeple" and denoting that those who call others sheeple are some kind of fool?
