It was all a waste anyways. None listened, and I was mocked and ridiculed on air.

They claim jurisdiction under commerce clause and supremacy clause.

Making your voice heard is NEVER a waste of time brother. Don't be discouraged; PLEASE keep up the pressure.

Anyone else notice that Alex Jones is the guy that led the protest on the Texas Capitol building?

Good going Alex. Whatever his detractors say, he knows his stuff.

Is there any closure regarding the passing the bill yet?

Scratch that. They took the last call 15 minutes ago.

Sen. Patrick did not have enough votes to bring it to the floor.

This is AFTER it UNANIMOUSLY passed the House, and UNANIMOUSLY passed the Senate committee

And yet it comes down again to the argument of wether people have the 'right' to fly,
Remember it is now a public service (e.g buses) it is a private industry, it is a privilege to be able to fly which is bought when you buy your ticket from the private airline.

Now if its a private industry, then they should be able to post whatever conditions they deem necessary to protect their business interests (tsa are an example of this), however flawed these measures may be, it is the airline and airport operators rights to have them in place and unfortunately that leaves you with the option of comply, or travel in a different way.

By all means DO put pressure on the business to change its methods, it is your right to voice your opinions, I hope they listen.

That's because the FEDS told that scumbag Texas governor Lieutenant governor to go scare the senators that if they passed this bill, Texas would be wiped out economically... He probably even said to them that the FEDS would stop all federal funding/give money to their opponents if they voted for it.

Of course all those wimps believed him... they are career politicians, they don't want to do the right thing, they just want to keep their stinking job.

What Texas should do is charter all flights from Texas as a PRIVATE flight, so no TSA screening.

Anyway nothing patriotic will happen in Texas as long as that SOB traitor Perry is governor.

It does not matter, again.

A government official, working in official capacity must adhere to the Constitution.

GTFO & stfu !!! I own a convenience store if i had all my customers groped when they came in my store i would get sued and probably charged with criminal misconduct. Albeit a private enterprise as you say the private enterprise is not above the law.

Three percent of the children that fly are being subjected to invasive, degrading, and psychologically damaging pat-downs. The TSA (Transportation Security Administration) is overstepping the boundaries put in place by the 4th amendment of the United States constitution. The TSA has put in place a scanning system that views naked children, and could arguably render children impotent later in life. When the authorities investigate a child sexual abuse case, they use methods to determine if sexual abuse has occurred. These exact methods law enforcements use constitutes criminal charges against screeners of the TSA. The psychological impact on youth, when suffering sexual abuse, is daunting and is causing irreparable damages to their current and future mental well being by the TSA. Lastly, the TSA is hiring employees with little or no experience with the public and its safety. At what extent does the sacrificing children’s rights, health, and psychological well being in the name of safety will Americans draw the line?

Wow. I guess I would threaten right back! My nature I guess..... maybe.... send no tax monies collected to DC? Kick out all Federal employees? You can't back down from blackmail like that over a constitutional right being taken away and still have honor and self respect, can you? I sometimes find TSA and Homeland Security and the Patriot Act to be anti-constitutional and more like Gestapo behaviour than what I believe America stands for and was created to fight for. How many soldiers and Americans have fought and died for this basis of our very nation? Our constitution is a sacred document and at times our Supreme Court and national government seem to be on someone else's side other than the American Citizenry!

This can't be to much of a shock for you guys, is it? It doesn't really matter if this proves that the TSA are just a bunch of sexual criminals. Because there nothing we can do about it

Actually it is quite a shock considering how much steam this bill had built up.

Bipartisan House support . . . unanimous for Pete's sake.

Guess we do not need a Gonzalez flag anymore. They already came and took it.

I wonder what this century's civil war will be blamed on. Racism, I guess. It's apparently racist to not enjoy federal goons sticking their hands down your pants. Nice.

Hopefully, it doesn't come to that..if I ever have to fly again, I'm going to tell them that I am having an active herpes attack, lol
If they don't threaten one way, it will be done another, like with the withholding of Federal funding...
