In that case, I think that the USA should be trolled with all nuclear bombs we have on this planet. And the whole world population and goverment would agree with me (exept the USA offcourse)

Does anyone know why his supporters didn't show up?

Same reasoning as when a gambler loses and doesn't talk about how much they just lost.

Embarrassment and shame

I, sir, am an American.
I can agree with you that we SEEM like retards f@#$ing a football, but I assure you, we are not all fat, lazy, dumbed down and violent sheep.

Our media plays fast and loose when describing what it means to be an American.

We have as myriad an amalgamation of personalities as any country in the world, and we all never agree on anything.

I agree that the whole Campapalooza is ridiculous tripe that should have never made it global, but the man Camping is an owner of radio stations... bound to get airplay by FCC 'rules.'

I hope that you were kidding about nuking us- these people are crazy. That won't end good for either of us.

Cheers!

You don't agree with him fine, I don't either but does it give you satisfaction to kick a senile old man while he is down?

I hope you'all feel all tough and stuff.

Disgraceful.
So let me get this straight: You're protesting against the protestors, because of the hypocrisy surrounding it, but at the same time, have neglected your own hypocrisy surrounding the very subject at hand.

I find it disgraceful that you took time out of your life to protest these protestors. See, it kinda works both ways.

I know that there are descent, smart and reasonable Americans to, because I've met some in my life. But sometimes when I read the reactions here on this forum my blood begins to boil, it sometimes is just really, really dumb and those people who posted them sadly don't even know it, and don't want to know it....

Sad, sad

C'mon, now. They were all probably fed up with seeing all the signs and other advertisements for the supposed "Rapture" for the past few years. And if it was a beautiful Saturday and I lived 10 minutes from the guy's house, I would consider joining the riot or whatever you wanna call it. Just my perspective, anyway.

Not everyone is going to ascend into heaven during the rapture, only the chosen will. People will be left behind to face more judgement.

What's sad is that you apparently have no sense of irony. You can't see that you are the same as they are, and that what your doing here is the Internet message board equivalent to standing on their front porch and realeasing nudie-balloons towards heaven.

The Dead Kennedy's took a photograph of some religious wack-a-doo's burning a 6' stuffed easter-bunny in effigy on a pile of heavy metal records, and turned it into an album cover. Art? or "sad?"

Guess what? Your perception of these events is no less valid then anyone else's.

It's not disgraceful to call out a fool for what he is. He misled thousands or even millions of people. I believe his radio has millions of listeners. A lot of his followers believed him. And yet the "rapture" didn't occur, much to the surprise of NOBODY (except Camping's followers). Besides, these pictures aren't from his house; they're at his studio where he broadcasts. It would be a little different if they had gathered in front of the guy's house. If I were this guy, I would never show my face again. I would just disappear and pretend the rapture did happen and I was the only one who "made it" lol.

While this little friendly opposition does look like something christians do and are capable of. Something seems "off" about this. And the ballon man seems to be the thing eating at me. Why would someone go to the trouble to buy custom made balloons to gawk and laugh at someone. And how the hell did they get them so fast? How did they precisely know how many regular helium balloons it would take to lift the man shaped balloon? If in fact its not all custom made. This seems oddly similar to the people outside the whitehouse when obama announced he got bin laden. Real people doing out of the ordinary things.....

Surely, there are idiots in your country too?

Historically, the original 'colonists' were slave trading, prudish Blowhards who didn't want to pay their taxes.
They were given the opportunity to colonize the "New World" in an effort to remove them from their home country's politics.

We are the outcast mutts of the world, and PROUD of it!

We revel in ignorance because our creation story sucks.

Not everyone will ascend into Valhalla to fight in Ragnarök by day and to feast, drink make love to the Valkyries by night. Some will remain on earth to face their only death when the Great Wolf, Fenris, opens his gaping maw and swallows the sun.

What's the difference between your statement and mine?

The funny part about this whole thing was the world-wide attention it received.

There were a heck of a lot of very nervous "skeptics" out there who were anxiously waiting for 6:00 PM yesterday.

I didn't see all kinds of joking about it before hand, like I do now. The laughing I see now is more like the nervous relief of dodging a bullet.

The sad part is, it is a bullet that cannot be dodged forever.

Camping should have never set a date. The Bible states that NO ONE knows the day or hour. Not even Jesus. But we CAN know when the time draws near.

For people who have studied the Bible, all the signs are there.

The only thing holding it back is God's desire that "none should perish".

All I can say is that He has a lot more patience with people than I do.

It's called "performance art" and real people have been doing it for decades. Many people know that

1) These balloons are available online and can be ordered with free shipping.

2) It takes roughly 5 medium sized helium balloons to drag one of these nudie-ballons aloft. Less if you fill the nudie-balloon with helium....
