These are interesting. Not going to direct them to anyone but it is a logical argument.
It is not proof but it is a logical argument toward proof.

Roger Bacon, a Franciscan monk heavily influenced by Perennialists such as Suhrawardi, wrote in his Opus Maius (1268): "There are two modes of knowledge, through argument and experience. Argument brings conclusions and compels us to concede them, but it does not cause certainty nor remove doubts in order that the mind may remain at rest in truth, unless this is provided by experience."

Epistemology (About this sound pronunciation (help·info)) (from Greek ἐπιστήμη (epistēmē), meaning "knowledge, science", and λόγος (logos), meaning "study of") is the branch of philosophy concerned with the nature and scope (limitations) of knowledge.[1] It addresses the questions: * What is knowledge? * How is knowledge acquired? * How do we know what we know? Much of the debate in this field has focused on analyzing the nature of knowledge and how it relates to connected notions such as truth, belief, and justification. It also deals with the means of production of knowledge, as well as skepticism about different knowledge claims.

Plato famously defined knowledge as "justified true belief."

But any ways, I know most people here are free thinkers. I am too, I wouldn't want it any other way
But there is something that disturbs me, and worries me more and more each day..

I can't figure out why people believe in the Bible. Please, don't take this as any sort of jab towards Christians, I was one for most my life. But I can't figure out why people are so certain that this religion is true. I just can't personally believe in something that has been manufactured by the Elite.

I just can't be sure with all the corruption in this world. All the lies, the bad people that think money will buy their way into Heaven..

But why do people state with such certainty that the religion is true? I know there have been prophecies that have been fulfilled, but are they just vague general prophecies that could be done by anyone? Or are they legitimating signs from God?

I am not trying to start a fight here, just curious for your opinions about religion. I know there have been tons of threads like this before, but I felt that none of them catered to my specific question.

Are people brainwashed?
Are they just going with the flow, believing out of fear?
Do you think religion is just a form of control over the people?

I also feel that Jesus and the Lord will let any good soul into Heaven. I have led a good life, I know the true greed of the world, and I know how things work. Like most on ATS, I am just a curious person that wants to determine things for themselves.
That's interesting, a proud free thinker who is worried and disturbed because other people believe in something different. You say you were a Christian for most of your life, so, with your authoritative experience I'd like to ask you what you think it means to be a Christian. Also I'd like to know what you mean by Christianity being manufactured by the elite.
The bible concurs that the world is corrupt, how is that evidence against Christianity? I haven't heard anywhere that people can buy their way into heaven with money, where does that information come from?
You claim to have been a Christian for most of your life, shouldn't you know whether people are brainwashed, whether they are going with the flow or believing out of fear, what were your reasons for being a Christian for most of your life? How was Christianity trying to control you?
