A good christian is friend to everybody who is good, trying to make peace with everybody and doesn't condone torture (Guantanamo, CIA black sites, Bahrain), killing of protesters (Bahrain), desecrating of cemeteries and mosques (in Bahrain) or war crimes and obvious policies of expansion with no regards for Palestinians (Israel).

So yeah Obama is not a ``true`` christian, but not for the reasons you mentioned.

And Obama does support Israel, he still gives them financial aid and military aid... and his speech was just that... a speech... unless he follows it with action, it's just empty words... and it will stay that way IMO.

I'm a Christian and have no compulsion to protect Israel. Israel is just another nation. It has no King from the line of David, Instead they have a republic.There is a Islamic shrine where the Temple used to be and there are no plans to rebuild the temple. God has abandoned the fleshly nation of Israel for a New Spiritual Israel. The members on this "New Israel" are chosen by God out of all nations.

If you actually read any of the news articles regarding this, you would see that although Obama called for the borders to change to find a compromise, he also explicitly showed his disfavor for a Palestinian state.
