checotah teacher charged with having sex with student

Well, here is yet ANOTHER teacher who was attracted to one of her students.
I live in a suburb of Tulsa, and have a colleague who is also a teacher at the same school. Word around the camp fire, is she was unhappy in her marriage and frustrated with the "size" of her husband's reproductive organ. So.....she decided to have an affair with a sophomore student from the school.

The student was very proud of himself, and bragged about his "achievement" to all of his buddies and schoolmates. Well, one of the students who he told, just happened to be the son of a police officer, and his mother was on some sort of local "board" in the town. It appears this student was talking about the incident at home,and his mother overheard him. She felt obligated to bring this to the attention of the police, and from there, we have this:

EUFAULA, Oklahoma -- An Oklahoma teacher is accused of having sex multiple times with a teenage student. Michelle McCutchan, 38, has been charged with two counts of second degree rape and one count of sodomy following an investigation into allegations she had sex with a 16-year-old boy student.

What do you think is wrong in someone's brain to cause them to think this is OK?
And I wonder how many students also had relations with her, and just kept there mouth shut? Tragic story for this woman, her family, the student, and his family. All from the same school that produced Carrie Underwood. More than likely this teacher probably taught Carrie.

I knew of at least two (2) that were...."questionable". One (computers teacher) loved to rest her breasts on your neck while she helped you type something,or showed you how to do something. The other (english 4) was just very flirty and looooooved the back rubs, and she wasn't shy at the mouth either. She said a lot of things that would be considered wrong. Then there was one more...she was a dance imstructor by night, english 1 and 3 by day, she would read to us while sitting on a stool in the front of the class. REALLY? Wow! You should ask her if she remembers this teacher, she apparently taught there for 18 years.. Small world indeed my friend. I never expected a fellow ATSer to even know that checotah was a town! Crazy!

People yelling "disgusting" need to grow up as does the system. Really, grass in the field physically indicates sexual maturity...maybe we should raise children to be MENTALLY mature by the time their pubic hair comes in???

Lets install fear in our kids about sex, but heck lets show them how violence is a ok, its fine for violence to be everywhere but make sure you dont show billy how to have safe sex, or enjoyable sex.

I see your point, definitely. But if you were 38 and were "dating" someone just Barely old enough to drive, wouldn't that seem wrong to you? Im 27 and wouldn't even consider "dating" a minor. (under 18) just saying.

Yes, it's OK for Billy to sit on his Xbox several hours a day shooting and killing people, driving like a madman and being chased by the Police! But it's bad to have wonderful sex with a beautiful woman????

That's what I asked my colleague. I thought sodomy was anal? Oklahoma laws are dumb anyway, so maybe oral is sodomy too?

Yeah my wife said she gave her D-hall (detention lol) in fifth grade.

She also said this teacher has a young daughter as well.

Okay, enough is enough. It's one thing to protect actual children, it's another thing to destroy a woman's life because a horny teenager got about as lucky as a horny teenager can get.

Has anyone spoken to a "child" of 16 recently? They're the vision of innocence. Taken advantage of? Raped? Get the hell out of here, the age of consent is lower in some states than 16.

Inappropriate, yes, but I don't see why this is blown out of proportion. Everyone saying it was "gross" or "disgusting deplorable and sickening" needs to remember that he was bragging about it. Not exactly the behavior of someone who is scarred for life from their traumatic experience with Mrs. Robinson.

Wow! I live just south of Tulsa myself and hadn't heard this story. I was under the impression 16 is the age of consent in this state? lol I may be gross or something for admitting this but I lost my V-card to a 46 yr old when I was 16. Granted, my parents would have murdered the woman but I certainly had no problem with it. Much like the boy who was bragging to his many friends in this story.

I do however feel badly for the woman's family that has just been destroyed. I hope they don't label her a Sexual Offender. 16 is still mature enough in my opinion to make those decisions and her life shouldn't be ruined because of this.

I agree pretty much. But i think the decision should be up to the child on whether to pursue charges or not; Clearly the child was bragging so we already know the answer to that one.

Just have her removed from her job and all is solved.
