Lol, let me paraphrase leary to try to explain it better for you in spite of your insults.

To young people, to people under the age of 25, and certainly to people under the age of 40.. if you're over the age of 40, I'm not sure that you should listen to this..

Because what I say might make you mad.

I don't like to get people mad.

I particularly don't like to get people over the age of 40 mad.. people who have guns, and handcuffs, and a wide variety of instruments of metal with which they punish you.

The nervous system of the adult human being is so set up that it registers intense neurological pain when confronted with an idea or a method which liberates man from his addiction to symbols; from his addiction to the current tribal symbol system.

In other words, the young people that you're bashing have the answers you're looking for, even if you aren't ready to hear them.

The old road is rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand.

sorry bud, no compassion from me. no kids either.

my opinion get you mad???

Not mad really. Just feel bad for you. You must live a very angry little life. Its tough to go around hating everything, much easier to enjoy life and the little things.

That being said, im not a kid person either generally speaking, but i do love my family and children very much. I would never dream of "muzzling" them.

After some thought to bridge the gap. I have one simlpe question to all you future movers and shakers.
Who do you respect and look up to ?
There has to be someone you don't look at in utter contempt and blame for all the worlds problems.

This headline is rather misleading. Young or old, we are all going to have to work together if we want to see some positive change, age does not matter!

Young people are change agents. Their role is anarchy. They certainly can't be believing in anything but themselves.

Hmm...to see someone "older" acting like that...need I say more? The older generation is a joke...they will never change.

EDIT:I can act the way I do because this is the way we act, what's your excuse?

We act the way we do because we have learned from our mistakes that you are also destined to make when you experience something besides the Xbox.

Your signature says it all.

But let's face it, you people screwed up our world, bad.

I'm in my 50's now and I remember when I was a kid (1960's) my dad has a comic hanging in the hobby room of our house that showed a man with a boy on his knee and the caption said "Son remember this, the world is always in the worst shape it's ever been in." You see, you, like every single person before you who has ever been born back to the beginning of time is convinced that you live in the most screwed up version of the world that has ever existed. EVERY young person wants to start a revolution to "fix" things. When you get older you'll laugh at your own naivety, but don't worry, we've all been there

but basically after 30, that's it. You retire or become a "consultant" or "advisor" maybe.

Check this out:

www.usdebtclock.org...

Here's some hard truth for you:

US population:
311 million

US taxpayers:
111 million

Food stamp recipients:
44 million

Social Security recipients:
65 million

So your plan is to put people under 30 in charge of everything and presumably everyone over 30 will retire or act as a part-time consultant. You will effectively cut the work force by 2/3, so we'll be down to 35 million or so taxpayers. I assume you wouldn't want to cut benefits to anyone so you'll be adding 75 million new retirees to the existing 65 million for a total of 140 million retirees drawing social security and Medicare/ Medicaid benefits. 35 million taxpayers will be covering the tab for 140 million social program recipients. Yeah, that sounds sustainable! I'm glad you have such a well-organized plan for fixing things, perhaps you should run for office!

Plus, the new generation, 20s and below, is much more spiritual than the olders, who are merely religious and cling to outward forms. The 20somethings are spiritual seekers who can bring fresh and innovative new life to tired old religion, bringing in a breath of fresh air in culture and the arts, too!

You should get out more. Really. You should find some 50-somethings that were flower children in the 60's and spend some time with them. They've created the whole New Age movement that you seem to think is the domain of 20-somethings.

We usually do. (To help them stand on their own two legs and point them in the right direction as did those before us.)

The whole problem here democracy, young people are naive foolish and ignorant, guess what will happen when we take the power, nothing good. Yes, democracy is what the majority of people want, but who said the majority is smart or knows what they need?

If we could just know who is truly smart, inventive and "good" we could put him or her on the power and let him/her guide us, but we don't know, thus we are doomed to keep making the same mistakes over and over again.

By the way, we have been fooled with that "Democracy". "Demos" does not mean "The People", it means "The Village", and points to the fact, that democracy only works regionally. In a Democracy there is no voting. There are a number of people who contribute the most to the wealth amd well being of Village life and they make the rules. This is according to the cradle of democracy, the ancient city states of Greece. If one expands democracy over the region nationally, it will end in the tyranny of the dumb masses.

The term comes from the Greek: δημοκρατία – (dēmokratía) "rule of the people", which was coined from δῆμος (dêmos) "people" and κράτος (Kratos) "power", in the middle of the 5th-4th century BC to denote the political systems then existing in some Greek city-states, notably Athens following a popular uprising in 508 BC.
