Rashard Mendenhall tweets ;;

“We’ll never know what happened,” states Mendenhall, “I just have a hard time believing a plane could take a skyscraper down demolition style.”.

“What kind of person celebrates death?” he says. “It’s amazing how people can HATE a man they never even heard speak. We’ve only heard one side.”

and he's now being roasted for trying to be logical and objective in a over-patriotized, super-american-y, brainwashed country.

Agreed.

“What kind of person celebrates death?” he says. “It’s amazing how people can HATE a man they never even heard speak. We’ve only heard one side.”

We heard him speak. He was usually threatening Americans, Jews, and just about everybody else who didn't see the world as he did.

Yeah, I commend Rashard for speaking his mind. A lot of people here in SteelerNation though are really P.O.ed about it. In a big way, I think he's right about really celebrating. I understand Bin Laden is the face of evil since 9/11 and before then but to celebrate as much as we did...it makes us look as bad as the middle easterner's when 9/11 happened. Also, who says an NFL HB can't have this opinion?

Actually, you didn't hear him speak. You heard a "supposed" translation of what he said and other translators outside the US, say he never claimed responsibility for 9/11.

Or so you were lead to believe.

Bush administration False Terror Alerts Pt.1:

Bush administration False Terror Alerts Pt.2:

Bin Laden has been dead (according to several sources) for years. This is just a ploy to get Obama re-elected in 2012, nothing more. Time to wakey wakey.

Do you see, now, how this 9/11 crap has gotten to you?

This makes absolutely no sense:

This is just a ploy to get Obama re-elected in 2012, nothing more.

IF this were September, 2012 right now?? Then you might have a valid suspicion.

But it isn't it isn't even CLOSE to the 2012 election, yet!!

So......some American-style football player (real Rhodes Scholars, they are) "questions" the collapse of the Twin Towers? That's it? No real understanding, on his part, of the details. Details that every rational person on the planet, with an ounce of education, can comprehend....

Sorry, this is not "news"....just another ignorant blowhard, demonstrating his ignorance.

When these Celebrities really speak out it does the tiny unnoticed truthers a favor. Trump would have had the headlines if it wasn't for this Osama Death Psyop.

It tells you alot about the power of famous names, and how much of a threat they are too tptb, and that's probably why they like them drugged up like Lindsay Lohan, it steals them that opportunity to be good role models. Others want to hear what they have to say about the world, but not so much when they are drug addicts. Anything that comes from a lost soul is expected to be non-cogent, but say a successful business man like Trump, that makes people listen, but when people start to listen, it calls for a big fat Psyop or a false flag operation.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why anyone should give a fig about what this guy thinks. Give me a reason, and professional football player doesn't count.

Kudos to Mendenhall as his comments were just played on Sportscenter, watched by millions, and opinions like his aren't displayed much. A few well placed tweets and maybe it gets people to look into the issue further. They might learn something new, one never knows.

When the sword of justice strikes, it is a solemn occasion. It should not be celebrated like a football team winning a big game. It shows a lack of decorum on the part of the American people to celebrate OBL's death by engaging in chanting, singing, flag waving, and general revelry.

I for one think that OBL's killing was a good and necessary thing for the US and the world at large. That does not mean it should be celebrated the way people were celebrating it. It is a good and necessary thing for me to take out the trash, brush my teeth and flush the toilet. I don't light off fireworks and wave flags every time I do it.

You think Mendenhall is the only athlete who thinks that 9/11 was a complete bag job? I'm sure there are numerous other athletes who think the same and do not have the guts to stick up to the establishment. Props to Mendenhall for giving his employer the middle finger and basically telling the Steelers and the NFL that they do not control his thoughts - no matter how much money they pay him. And if the Steelers don't want him, I am sure there are plenty of other teams who can use his 1200 yards rushing per season.

Contrary to what the usual one trick ponies will try to manipulate you into believing, not all athletes are the stereotypical dumb jocks you see in high school. When you sign a $10M contract at age 23 and are the top running back for a Super Bowl team, you must be doing something right.

I find it truly bizarre that my local news (not in Pennsylvania) would pick up this "story" and slap it on to the end of their Osamafest as an aside. I was mentioning in another thread that the number of skeptics apparently in existence and the attention they are getting in the media is seriously out of balance. But, they will select one or two and by singling them out, make it seem as if they are "on the fringe" or a dissenter. Why?

“What kind of person celebrates death?”

If Mendenhall could touch his hand to your face for the accuracy of this statement, he would be slapping the sh*t out of you! Who in their right mind celebrates death? Two wrongs dont make a right, that was taught in kindergarten.

Well good sir it is America and you have the right to voice your opinion.

And when you use character assassination as a tool for debunking as you often do, your true colors shine.

I'm pretty convinced you are referring to yourself in that quote, am I correct?

I never heard of Mendenhall before and i might not like him now but I got a lot of respect for him. Champion on the other hand, I got no respect for the company. Mendenhall is willing to risk his endorsement and his public image for what he believes is the truth. He risked his endorsement and his public image to try Americans to THINK. How often do professional athletes do THAT?? Apparently an NFL star asking Americans to THINK is too much for Champion, who would rather have an ignorant spokesperson for an ignorant population. Why? So Champion doesn't draw negative attention to itself because of controversial quotes by its spokesperson.

But i find it interesting that Champion took full advantage of this controversy to get its name out there.

via USA TODAY
Champion is a strong supporter of the government's efforts to fight terrorism and is very appreciative of the dedication and commitment of the U.S. Armed Forces. Earlier this week, Rashard Mendenhall(notes), who endorses Champion products, expressed personal comments and opinions regarding Osama bin Laden and the September 11 terrorist attacks that were inconsistent with the values of the Champion brand and with which we strongly disagreed. In light of these comments, Champion was obliged to conduct a business assessment to determine whether Mr. Mendenhall could continue to effectively communicate on behalf of and represent Champion with consumers. While we respect Mr. Mendenhall's right to express sincere thoughts regarding potentially controversial topics, we no longer believe that Mr. Mendenhall can appropriately represent Champion and we have notified Mr. Mendenhall that we are ending our business relationship. Champion has appreciated its association with Mr. Mendenhall during his early professional football career and found him to be a dedicated and conscientious young athlete. We sincerely wish him all the best.

I find it ironic that in an effort to divert attention away from the company they said their name "Champion" 7 times in 6 sentences. Now I have no doubt that CHAMPION is a proud supporter of our armed forces and dedicated to the war on terror. And because I am dumb, I believe this statement is saying Mendenhall is NOT a supporter of our armed forces or the war on terror. In fact, Mendenhall himself may be a terrorist and that is why Champion can't have him as a spokesperson.

No, at no times did Mendenhall say he didn't support the armed forces, and at no time did he say he didn't support the war on terror. He just said we can't believe everything the government tells us because the government has a history of deception and lies.

I posted this in another thread that was just closed:

They're supposed to play football, dumb down the masses with talk of whos winning the leagues not question what the elite are doing. There will be a false flag within a month, they're plan is falling apart and we can all see it.

How do you think they pay the players of football (U.S & U.K) millions of dollars/pounds each WEEK!? It's like the player for Liverpool who I love, Luis Suarez bought for 20 million pounds, look at this list and see how much money is wasted buying them... its crazy money. where does it come from!?

www.therichest.org...

My theory is they give them so much per week that they HAVE to hold money in their accounts which keeps building up and up and up. Now the economy is screwed while they have MILLIONS in their account, if you add up how much they have in their accounts like ALL the famous sports people there would be BILLIONS. Wayne Rooney is on A MILLION A MONTH... makes me sick... yet I still watch. and heres the kicked I can't afford to go and watch these Prima donnas kick a ball around for 90 minutes and get paid 50 grand a week.

Just to add an ex player for Liverpool called Ryan Babel questioned a referee after a match on twitter and was made to pay a fine for doing so. So now the officials can't be questioned?? disgrace!!! just thought I'd add that nothing of value to the thread though
