Me either. Smells funny.

Now they're reporting Pakistan is nervous. And want us to believe they "helped" to get him. Of course. Because they were "hiding" him.

Sky News reporting that it was attack on a house 1.30 am Pakistan time .. NOT a week only a few hours ago.

That military is still present as of now..helicopters and ground forces. Heavy U.S. military presence and that a Pakistani chopper went down?

Ugh now they're sayin it's unconfirmed.

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that after seeing it.

I don't get why all the dramatics. Why the big announcement right now??? Why is this something that couldn't wait till morning when he's already been dead a week??

I am on the fence about this personally. I really think that he could have been dead for years and now it's being "announced" for some sort of publicity...perhaps something to raise Obama's approval rating? (Sorry, don't care much for the man. I find his actions/policies ineffectual, but that's for another thread/time, lol.)Who knows! I do know one thing for sure, I don't trust the MSM one single, little ounce. Not at all.

Agree!!! This made me laugh and really I am very upset. I am a Veteran of Iraqi Freedom - just the whole mission accomplished crap . . . doesn't ring for me you know. This is one big party alright - wonder what the heck is really going on.

Just like how everyone said Bush was going to spring the news in time for re-election against Kerry? Or how he was going to do it to give McCain a last-minute push?

SSDD.

You'd think Americans would have learned some form of restraint by now... regardless of how this event really is, I think the American people will need to act a little less 'woo ha' about it... chanting USA will hardly go down well in some parts of the world.

Sure Osama might be dead but the problem doesn't simply vanish with him.

Even if he is dead, this changes nothing concerning our interests in the middle east.

Gaddafi to retaliate on American soil soon and become the new Osama/bogeyman?

2011 - the year the global chessboard is being rearranged.

this is a bit insane.

i didnt see this coming, I think some of us thought this would happen eventually... but so conveniently after the latest Guantanamo wikileaks release.

so... Osama is dead... we got a threat a few weeks ago saying that if he is found dead or was killed by US forces an attack will happen somewhere in a euro state.

So which state is currently on their radar?

Well my first choice is Italy... because of the whole Libyan fiasco and Italian ties within Libya. if... IF this threat is true and is taken out against Italy (Which is also a center for western religion & culture.) then the middle east will EXPLODE!

this is not good, I am hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.

I don't see how this will help Obama invade Libya.

I don't see how getting Obama re-elected really helps the EVIL CAPITALISTS in this country any more than say; every dang candidate the Republicans have offered for two decades. Ron Paul or Donal Trump or any of the rest, would be selling off this country on a faster clip.

We'll see what other news gets buried perhaps -- but to me, this is kind of an "out of the blue" announcement. If OSAMA is found dead -- eventually they would HAVE TO announce it at some point.

Yeah, sure, look for another angle on it -- always, but it doesn't really have much too it other than the event itself, in my opinion.

>> And come on, really -- if Bush were still in office, he'd be wearing a flight suit and strutting around while talking in his most "powerful" whisper; "America set it's sights on evil -- and we did not miss!" So at least we are spared the Comic Book hero routine.

As a Progressive that voted for Obama -- I did so reluctantly -- and I'm not too surprised that he's kept the same policies I hated under Bush. In my mind, if there IS ANY CREDIT, it would go to the intelligence group that found him. Other than making a way for him to escape at Tora Bora -- all the President can do is get in the way.

And I'm also pissed that he couldn't be brought back alive to stand trial -- so that our DEMOCRACY and justice system can show that it still matters. But of course, since I'm pretty sure that the Bush government had a very willing hand in 9/11 -- bringing Osama to trial would be very inconvenient.

>> So, don't worry; Republicans won't like Obama no matter what -- and Liberals aren't going to give him points. Only the Independents are going to care -- and they won't remember this in November 2012.

Unconfirmed reports are that Bin Laden was going to release a NON-layered version of Obama's birth certificate, and he was taken out. Also, it is being reported that all Democrats shall hang their flags at half staff tomorrow....

The big announcement is that Osma is dead. He's gonna come out and say, "We got em'!". LOL. Yea, he's been dead for months if not years. What a joke.
