this is potentially HUGE!!!! remember way back in the debates? obama was insistant on him being in pakistan, everyone laughed at him. then the drone strikes in pakistan, everyone questioned him. now they nail him in a effing mansion!!!

all in all, I'm not too impressed. we'll probably still stay in the ME wasting lives and money. the timing stinks like hell. and by most all known accounts, OBL was reported to have a foot in the grave for the last decade or so.

HELL NO. Now we will have to worry about retaliation...a much more palpable threat than that lone bogeyman OBL... Time to lose some freedoms.

I was at the World Trade Center on 9/11, and have wondered many times over the years how I would react to Bin Laden's death.

I wasn't "aware" of how the world truly worked back then, and figured I'd be crying tears of joy when he died. I'll never forget what I saw on that day.

Now that his death is officially confirmed, I can't help but wonder if this announcement is being used to distract from something else.

Damn, I've become cynical.

I'm just not buying it, if he's been dead a week, why did we have the BC nonsense this week? Seems supposedly releasing a birth certificate and killing ODL in one week are just tools of his campaign in my opinion. He really wants to be re elected.

Maybe everyone should just wait a second. That goes for the talking heads on the news right now as much as it goes for everyone posting the usual "this has to be some kind of ploy" comments. It's only been a couple of hours.

I'm sure that it took a week to confirm DNA testing, if it has been a week. They probably needed to double check the database sequences, purify, check for additional contaminants, and I'm sure they amplified it a bunch of times in multiple labs.

If the DNA came from a freezer it would probably be detectable in the PCR results.
