The queen mother was still performing civil duties well into her 90's, the queen is 86 and still working.......that deserves respect in my book.
Well patritoism is about making scarfices for your country, and I don't see any royals doing that - just taking from it.

The BBC is apparently independent from direct government intervention, why and how have they had a show pulled from a TV station on the other side of the world is beyond me.
