OK good, and yes patriotism it is doing things for your country, but more than that patriotism is doing things for the people of your own country.

pa·tri·o·tism
Pronounced:
/ˈpeɪtrijəˌtɪzəm, Brit ˈpætrijəˌtɪzəm/
Function:
noun
Meaning:
: love that people feel for their country [noncount] ▪ You may not agree with him politically, but no one can question his patriotism. [singular] ▪ They supported the war with a fierce patriotism. —compare nationalism

source: www.learnersdictionary.com...

there you go... why do you consider more patriotic... just because he dis agrees with the monarchy doesn't make him less patriotic.

So technically prove the patriotic self of the monarchs and you are good.

Your a sheep they are not my "master's" I just respect them and am in full support of them. When have they ever told me what to do (I would be honored if they ever did) They are just iconic and have no real control but are given the respect they deserve!!

respect is earned, not just given.

What have they done to earn our respect?

The queen mother was still performing civil duties well into her 90's, the queen is 86 and still working.......that deserves respect in my book.

After a lifetime of pampering, they give a little back?

So what, they get paid millions every year to attend lavish banquets and shake a few hands.

Hardly an onerous task now is it.

Right, so if he thinks

Well patritoism is about making scarfices for your country, and I don't see any royals doing that - just taking from it.

then he should hold himself to the same standards, I'm sure the royals have sacrificed "more than we know"

In other words you cannot explain yourself.

Fair enough, just as I thought.

Something given has no value, something earned does.

It's not "giving a little back" it's spending a lifetime in service to the British public........and you know full well that's the case.

yeh so what about everyone else who does more for their country than the royal family? why don't they get the same treatment ? what makes the royal family so much more special that they deserve to be treated like they are.it disgusts me.

No, a soldier spends time in service when he performs his duties and not as a PR exercise.

Going to state dinners, shaking a few hands, travelling the world in luxury is not "service" it is pampered obselesence.

As an American I was sick of hearing about the royal schmedding for weeks now. Folks in the UK are complaining but hell we gotta get it shoved down our throats here in the US as well. It was pretty much on every channel (and probably still is) ALL morning.

Anyways they had planned to do a live commentary on the Wedding, but some how the BBC & APTN managed to have it pulled from the ABC (A TV Station here in Australia) because they didn't want to risk any jokes made about the Wedding.

The BBC is apparently independent from direct government intervention, why and how have they had a show pulled from a TV station on the other side of the world is beyond me.

However this is what disturbs me most and it seems like this is a huge controlled media blitz straight out of the UK to pretty much everywhere they can push it. And the fact that they were able to influence a non-affiliated channel in an entirely different country and sway them from airing anything negative about or to even make fun of the wedding is utterly ridiculous.

All I gotta say is two things:

1. this is the perfect formula for false flag event;
2. slight of hand anyone? if the left is putting on a stage and pony show with the wedding, what's the right doing?
