The Man of Steel performs 'act of civil disobedience' in upcoming issue

In the storyline, a frustrated Superman is angrily questioned by the president's national security adviser about why he flew down to take part in a peaceful protest in Tehran.

He adds he's tired of having his actions "construed as instruments of foreign policy."

"I intend to speak before the United Nations tomorrow and inform them that I am renouncing my U.S. citizenship," he tells the stunned official.

This is pretty big news actually, and it could have been so much better.
Before I get to the conspiracy.....

I always wondered what would happen if in the comics Superman lived in today's political climate during all these immoral wars.

And today... I did not get my answer, or perhaps unfortunately I did.

Now the conspiracy:

The Obama administration has garnered some criticism for not offering enough support to such rallies across the Middle East.

Now that just sucks!
What does superman want? Showing more support for protests in the middle east so the west can install another puppet Govt.?

Imagine if he gave up his citizenship because of the U.S.'s participation in all these immoral wars, that would have been so much more impactful.

So Superman's writer/s have figured out that the experiment has failed.

Much of the free world is also sadly aware that something has gone drastically wrong there.
