Face on Mars discovered.

Did a search on ATS and found that other 'faces' have been found but this one is pretty clear in what it is and was just recently discovered.

Went to Latitude 33°12'29.82"N, Longitude 12°55'51.21"W on google earth and sure enough its there.

Would be odd if this were formed by nature doing its job, also would be odd if this was created in some other manner.

Looks like a face to me, are we sure it wasn't photoshopped? Any reputable sources?

He sure has big ears. Still an interesting pic though.

Definitely looks like a face/head to me! But personally I don't feel it's anything other than a natural formation.

One reason I doubt it's "made" by anybody is the condition it is in. If this were made thousands, or tens of thousands of years ago by a past civilization I would expect it to be a lot more worn than it is right now. It looks quite sharp and intact. I'd bet in 500 years that won't look anything like it does right now, which tells me that 500 years ago it probably didn't look anything like it does right now either. Meaning natural, not man/alien made.

Just my opinion though and I could be wrong!

Is google earth not reputable with this sort of thing? Are there other programs/sources for one to view the surface of Mars in this manner? Or at least be able to see which part of the planet I am viewing in correlation to the rest of the surface area?

It's in google earth. It's over a mile long too! Pretty neat. Even if it's just a coincidence, it definitely looks exactly like a human profile, that in itself is one amazing coincidence.

I wonder if civilization on earth was wiped out, if extraterrestrials would think Mount Rushmore was just a land formation.

The first thought I had when I saw the photo, I thought it must have been photo shopped. If it is a land formation, it's quite detailed. Mother Mars is quite the artist!
