Not to blow your small mind set or anything, but tons of ppl in africa have houses and stay indoors tons. There is more ppl living in urban areas in africa, then rural.
South Africa has the BEST cellphone reception of any other country, you can get signal in the middle of africa from MTN.

The rural Africans are very religious and some believe they can even make it rain when they want. Farmers use to pay witch doctors to preform rituals to make it rain etc. Point i am trying to making is the opposite of yours, they get very very exited over naturally occurring phenomena.

There is nothing of interest in this video. Some guy pointing his camera phone at the sun does not a miracle make.

You are missing the point. Many paintings (not just one) of the Virgin Mary depict her wearing the same clothes. The reason for this could well be that the paintings follow a traditional rendering THAT WAS BASED UPON ACTUAL SIGHTINGS OR VISIONS OF HER. The latest visitation in the Ivory Coast merely confirms this tradition.

You need glasses, then. I have never seen 20 foot (or whatever) human figures suddenly materializing and hovering 100 feet in the air. If you cannot see the same in this video, I suggest you get your eyesight checked.

Now I understand why there are so many people still claiming there is nothing in this video.

I was saying that it wasn't a divine event. You should showed why it's plausible that it's not divine. I had not seen the edited video version so this further proves the hoax theory.

To anyone who cannot see this. I understand because I also could not see it - at first. Then I saw the video where the contrast was changed. But I wasn't sure if it was legit or if someone was playing a prank. So I took a screen shot of the original video, when everyone was screaming, and loaded it into photoshop and adjusted the brightness and contrast. I saw that the video that was adjusted for constrast was indeed only adjusted for brightness and contrast. Then I realized that I could see it simply by tilting my laptop screen back as to view it from an angle.

I don't really know what to make of this but clearly lens flare is an inadequate explanation as the crowd can apparently see it.

A bunch of B.S.....Is she paralyzed or something? Why does she always stand in the same positions as in 'A PICTURE'. It's almost as if 'A PICTURE' is standing in front of the sun......That Picture to be exact. Why is she standing on a crescent moon? Is she trying to say that she disrespects Muslims? That is their symbnol of faith under her feet there you know? I don't think, that is a depiction of Jesus' mother anyway. She would not be filled with so much hate, bigotry, xenophobia and the will to decieve. I suspect I know who THIS mary actually belongs to though. The signature is very definitive. Haven't you guys ever wondered why ever depiction of a Catholic Mary or Jesus has a halo around their head? I guess you could just blow it off as "thats the way its always been, angels and Jesus and mary just like to sport cool luminous hats", but no, what it really is...is a signiture of Lucifer or the luminous tatto of the "Light Bearer" or "Light Bringer" (in the eyes of those who worship him). Might be why this particular (fake) mary chose the sun for the grand entrance. the sun has been worshipped since the dawm of time as a god. RA and Horus and even Lucifer are all associated with the sun god theme. Not an avenue I think, Jesus or the "Real" mary would take to deliver a holy message.

I don't see a deity. I'm an atheist, so I would certainly not expect to.

But like dozens of other people, I can see what is obviously there. There is a shape there. Why are you pretending there is not? There are screen shots of it on this very page. I don't believe you don't know there is something there. Personally I think it's a scrim and some Fresnels, but what I don't think is that it's nothing, because clearly it is something.

To each his own. I am not christian. I don't think the virgin Mary appeared to anyone. But that blurry picture comes from a phone camera. People in the crowd could probably see it more clearly. To me I see a resemblance, but that doesn't mean that's what I think it is. It doesn't always have to be all or nothing you know.

Last I checked it is possible to put a holographic figure on clouds, but one in front of the Sun? Second of all, people will be going blind if this was just a hologram, if we hear about hundreds, or more, cases of people in Ivory Coast going blind then it is possible this was a holographic figure, if they don't that in itself is a miracle.

The power of suggestion is alive and well. I did see the image (Virgin Mary) on my first viewing. Then a diamond was mentioned and I saw that too. I wondered several things though.
Why were all these people gathered, that day, at that time, looking at the sun? Why was it so dark in the daytime? Something just didn't seem right in the recording of the sun during the day. Was this a light show these people were at? Was the image dancing?, seemed it to me. The "sun" appeared awfully close, and not as large as it should have been. IMO this was a planned/staged event for entertainment.
