We need a forum titled "Outlandish Blog-based Obama Rumors"

They're coming HOT AND HEAVY as we lead into the election year. The GOP/Tea Party machine is gearing up and they need a place to spill their seed. I predict there will be many new ATS members whose only purpose is to spread unsubstantiated rumors about Obama as the "truth". Mark my words. We saw it in 2008 and we'll see it again.

Of course he's a criminal. I know you're busy, but you neglected to mention that Obama also:

- Stole his sister's Barbie Doll and made leud marks on naked Barbie with a permanent pen.
- Left the restroom without washing his hands - Jr. High School (he said he didn't touch it)
- Picked his nose and ate it. - 6-years-old (photographic evidence of this on some blog.)
- Stayed out past dark one summer evening. Received spanking.
- Refused to answer Michelle when she asked, "Does this make me look fat"?
- Burned a jock strap at a college party bonfire, hoping to encourage the girls of the group to burn their bras. Occidental College.

So... if we're going to go over his rap sheet, let's not leave anything out, shall we? I think I've covered them all here, but I know you'll correct me if I'm wrong.

My question is are a lot of these posts started by well know ATSers or is it just a bunch of dupe accounts by Right Wing disinfo people.

Someone should compare and look into this.

Here on ATS a user is generally required to look into facts before posting to prevent redicule from the community.

What can you do when someone is a political fanboy?

Right is always right, Left is always right type behavior shouldn't be allowed here if people are ignoring straight up factual information in favor of their party.

There is nothing wrong with posting conspiracies, I love them just like the next guy....but these posts that reference some random guy on some blog somewhere need to stop.

The blogger supplied no facts and everything is in his own words.

No actual economics. Unemployment and how long it lasts after a recession. Debt as in how much we needed to spend to right the wrongs and pump money into the economy to stimulate it.

In my experience, I've seen a few old-timers start these things. There are some die hard members of the "down with Obama" fanclub. But most of the new threads with outlandish rumors are people I've never heard of before. Just my experience.

I've got to agree. I'd love to see ATS take a stand against blogs being used as facts. But it would be hard to determine what is indeed a blog. Some are obvious and some are even credible. I think ATS's stance is to let the community handle it as we are here. Problem is, with the influx of blog-lovers it's going to get overwhelming. But I trust the staff to handle it. They always do and they do a great job.

It's not that I am against Blogs. They have been beneficial in the past on ATS. It's the lack of proof or evidence on the blog that I have an issue with.

If this gentleman would have posted actual paperwork, something of substance to backup crazy rehashed claims, then I would have read it and the ATS community could verify it.

There is nothing here to verify, this is just a bunch of crap.

As far as having a criminal past, I can sit here and be pretty darn sure that everyone over the age of 18 has a criminal past. If not everyone, there's some innocent person out there who has never sped, never driven without a seat belt, never partaken of any illegal substance or driven after drinking, never cheated on their taxes or disobeyed any law... It's not me, that's for sure.

As far as Obama doing what the OP suggests, the truth is that I didn't read the source until just now. barf. By the time I got halfway down the page my stomach was turning. And taxes are lower than they have been in years for most people and companies right now. Taxes are needed to run this country. That is a fact. Look around, the infrastructure is crumbling in this country (roads, bridges, etc.).

It really has nothing to do with "it's just too difficult for you to understand", it's commonsense, the economy doesn't collapse overnight (ie, when Obama took office), it takes years. The first month Obama took office, roughly 700,000 Americans were laid off. What does that tell you? It's commonsense.

I agree that the mainstream media is a joke in this country but not for the reason you state. They are in corporations pockets (and owned by them). Which is why most "news" isn't even news these days.

I just don't see the media love affair of Obama that those on the right see. MSNBC - OK, but even their preferential treatment of Obama pales in comparison to how Fox treated Bush when he was in office, IMO.

In some ways I wish Obama was a more radical President, but he's not, which disappoints me, although I'm not really surprised given the political system that is in place in this country. But that's what makes all this Obama bashing all the more strange. It should be people on the left bashing him in reality, not those on the right, except for partisan politics.

Oh really??? When did I say that it was okay if Bush used coke? Do you assume that I like Bush because I hate Obama? It's just like someone else said before when he asked why can't any one discuss one with out mentioning the other. Apparently you Obama defenders get a bit sensitive sometime and take a massive dump on what small amount of common sense they possess. Why would anyone vote for a candidate that used coke FFS?

Don't get me wrong. There are wealthy liberals. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie come to mind.
