Racism on ATS: an open discussion

Surely thats stereotyping though rather than racist abuse, I make jokes, Hell im an english guy living in scotland the only way to get a laugh at the pub is to make fun of the brits so i do also, most things could be taken out of context and made out to be abusive but in reality the offending remark is only as offensive as the "offended" perceives it to be, when the scots take the piss out of me i tend to agree with them

Just because you don't like talking about this issue doesn't mean it is ridiculous or unimportant. Many people in this thread have shown why this thread is valid and important for ATS to discuss in a civil manner.

The issue of racism should never be censored, that is how racism is allowed to continue.

No the mere fact that Racism is been discussed it whats keeping it alive, If everyone shut-up and stopped whinging about how badly they were been oppressed by "racists", racism would not be an issue.
Racism is an extremeist viewpoint these days, when in reality everyone just hates different cultures with thier ridiculas views, Dont like it? Go live in the mountains and renounce common idiotic viewpoints, Dont be part of what you consider to be either below of above anything .

Seriously, I totally dig this thread, I would much rather sit next to the Grand Puhbar of the KKK, and smile while he calls me a n-word, than listen to some of these closeted racist hide behind avatars. I am very confrontational. Especially to cowards....

But seriously..... I dont dislike ALL white people, just the ones that seem to hate me because I am first of all Black, and fairly intelligent, I seem to be a threat to some of them. Remembers mans biggest fear?

I have no choice but to love everyone equally the same way our father loves us, he didnt say I have to like you though.

SideNote: I remember about 6 years ago, I stuck my penis in this German chic, 9 months later a half bred little boy pops out.... I love half of him to death, the other half though,.....I guess we're cool, Sometimes he does give me the side eye. Seriously I think he's bi-polar...... I think many people have been so programmed with anti-white PC bias, that they think anything is racist, if it calls out anti-white racism. Like Obama meets with known racist Sharpton, and someone calls him out on that, they are called racist, or if someone thinks Obama should show his birth certificate, someone calls that racist, or if someone says rap music promotes crime mentality, then someone is called racist, or is someone says France should be allowed to protect their secular values, then someone calls that racist, but they don't give a darn about non-Muslims in Muslim nations that are forced to abide by their ways.

My personal opinion is that racism is back "in fashion". People like Rush Limbaugh, glenn beck, hannity, etc... make those closeted racists feel good about their racism when they listen to them on the radio and watch them on TV, make racist comments on a regular basis and NOBODY does anything about it.

It's a shame that their behavior is allowed to continue. They're being funded by even bigger racists with massive pocket books.

And you partially hate your own child when you're the one who partially made him? Does that mean your a self hating...whatever ethnic background you are?

I think just about everybody raised in America is racist. It's deeply embedded in the culture.

Personally, I'm more annoyed by the people, liberals and cons alike who claim they arent racist, than by those with enough self-awareness to know they are racists.

Well I do agree that racism is extremist. That being said, walking away and hiding from those racists won't fix anything. Those racists need to be shown that their viewpoints are not an acceptable part of any culture. You can't control what people think but you can control how they act on their thoughts. We need to make it clear that anyone can think what they want BUT they cannot call people names, discriminate against people, hurt people, kill people, etc.. because of who/what they are. We can't tolerate that type of behavior or we all lose a little of what humanity could become.

I could do it all day !
They make racist comments all the time.
If you listen to them on even a semi-regular basis, you will hear racist comments.
Do a simple google search and you'll find vids and audio pretty easily.
