like your dismissing anything else anyone else has to say that differs from your beliefs.

Seeing as you have yet to read the actual data in that post I'm referring to. Here's the difference between you and I. I base by beliefs on things like "facts" "evidence" "truth" "reality". You on the other hand have been spouting lies about welfare, probably taken from a political pundit, dis-info agent, or other lackey of the TPTB that you saw on the idiot box. But again, don't bother reading any of that data or government reports about what certain policies actually consists of, because it might prove you wrong (and I know you won't, either!).

Dude...you just gave me the chills.

I know the GOP is pretty twisted (not all...but many corporatists)...but never really understood the actual end game they were working for, so just left it as insanity to win political points.

You say that and suddenly the picture makes sense...I don't believe you..or rather, I don't want to believe you, but damn thats got me worried.
Time to do a bit of research I guess..if that is true, its simply insidious..but that might be a bit to over the top Dr. Evil for me to immediately accept.

Actually Saturn, he's right. Although I could correct one thing. It is both GOP and Democrats in collusion with the corporatist criminal class. That is why all this bs on this thread about how the middle class and poor are all bunch of "self entitled lazy whiners" for wanting their SS and Medicare is all just a political red herring propagated by the corporate criminal apologists/dis-info-ists. Some people cannot see this and so push these myths due to their own political dogma/tribalism. Here...the following 2 vids are very instructional.

They are called "Economic Hitmen"

some also call them "Disaster Capitalists"...but they are all basically the same.

Still afraid to click on those links and read those articles/policy paper. I see...you have no desire to learn. You choose to ignore and deflect. You know, lots of people also see "elvis" and "jesus" and "ghosts" with their own 2 eyes...and people tend to interpret things to fit with their own reality, not the other way around... Try reading some government policy papers from some non-partisan sources, might help your understanding of things.. Facts can only be interpreted one way. You either accept them and become enlightened (learn things) or reject them and remain ignorant (lack of knowledge) Lies are still lies. And fyi. There's many facts/data/evidence on the internet...you just do not want to look at them.

This is a re-posting of a quote, from one of my earlier posts with the purpose of exposing the blatant lies propagated by some on this thread. Obvious lies are obvious.

Sources are given including policy papers.

For anyone who feels like "denying ignorance" "welfare" is not called "welfare". It's called "workfare" or "work for welfare" and people take jobs in order to get their benefits. They work typically 20 hours a week plus 15 in job training for (in my state) $63 dollars a week (you do the math, that's a little over 3 dollars an hour wages). They also typically receive food stamps at about $173-200 per month for an individual. There is also a limit on how long you can receive benefits...there is a cap, once you exceed it, that's it. The idea that a woman can go onto welfare and indefinitely keep having babies is a myth, Reagan made up the "welfare queen" story, she was never a real person (unfortunately though, so many people today still believe this blatant lie)...

...saying people purposely go on welfare because they are lazy and want a check is like saying people purposefully get arrested so they can go to jail in order to have shelter and get fed. It's insane. No one does that...but if you believe that, then, again, you are brainwashed by your own dogma. And also, this idea that there is rampant welfare fraud and people who game the system...every study ever done has shown fraud to be minimal, less than 2 percent...furthermore, it's actually the vendor who commit 93% of the fraud, not the applicant...so the fraud committed by actual people is only 6% of this "less than 2%".

Source Source Source

Added Source

This is the current model where I live (NYC) called "workfare" Source

Participants are required to engage in a thirty-five hour simulated workweek that combines work with education, training, and job search. Established welfare-to-work agencies spend four to six weeks with applicants focusing on placing them in unsubsidized employment. Applicants who cannot find unsubsidized employment must participate in the Work Experience Program (WEP). This workfare program requires recipients to work off their benefits.

Also this is of interest.:
The Quadrennial Exploitation Of The Moronic Masses

Skeptic Overlord wrote this in regard to the election season...but it applies equally to all political issues.

So here we are again, suffering the daily madness of the The Quadrennial Exploitation Of The Moronic Masses, otherwise known as the U.S. Presidential Election Season.

Who would have thought, in this bastion of enablement that brings unimaginably diverse people together in an environment of civil and open debate with a mandate of fierce focus on issues and not each other, that we'd encounter the choreographed flotsam of manipulation. Here, right here on our beloved AboveTopSecret.com, we see...

-*- mindless repetition of divisive spoon-fed political talking points

-*- patently false information about candidates presented as truth

-*- exaggerated disaster scenarios if one or the other is elected

-*- shameful racism

-*- shameful bastardization of candidate names

-*- shameful focus on personalities instead of issues

-*- pathetic fear mongering

-*- embarrassingly little focus on real, important, vital issues

With this type of activity here on AboveTopSecret.com, the only thing it's proving is that, nearly four years after I first wrote about it, "they" are winning.

Stressed:
mindless repetition of divisive spoon-fed political talking points

patently false information ... presented as truth

That's it. I have to be up early tomorrow. So I'm off.

I will make you a prediction of the coming World War of the twenty-first century.

First, remember by the year 2050 it is predicted that the world's population will surpass ten billion. Migration and automation will create a massive roving band of 'Poverty Gypsies.' Welfare will be a major cause of the Third World War. Countries and states will eventually refuse (or be unable) to feed and clothe a dystopian overpopulated society.

In Europe, the Euro will have the opposite effect from uniting the European countries. Germany will eventually refuse the burden of bailing out Greece, Portugal, Spain, et al. The tradional enmities between France and Germany will break out into border conflicts that will eventually break out into war. Russia will attempt to take advantage of the chaos. Great Britain will once again become that fortress on the other side of the channel. Ireland, which is currently using both the Euro and the Pound, will once again explode into major civil war like that seen between the First and Second World Wars.

In the colonies, the various states will eventually refute Washington's corruption and failure to uphold the Constitution and protecting the individual states. Varying states will sign territorial compacts with one another. For example. Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana will join a territorial compact. The National Guards of these states will become a home rule military. The New England states will become another territory. Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee will become yet another home rule territory. Etc.

An all out border war will erupt with Mexico. Mexico will be supplied with arms my Venezuela and Colombia, etc.

Low yield tactical nuclear weapons of the one kiloton variety, such as the Davy Crockett missile variety, will be the original weapons of choice. The (Geneva) convention rules will eventually break down and thermonuclear devices will be used.

Japan. We're already seeing what is in the future for Japan. The Koreas, China and India will react in kind. This is a mild overview of the global economy destroyed by overpopulation, mass unemployment, irresponsible welfare policies, automation and the like.

And there you will have a picture of New Year's Eve of 2099. Party likes it's 2099.

Another prediction of the 'Soylent Green' variety that is happening as we speak.

More and more 'tainted' food sources will be dispensed to the poor neighborhoods through welfare programs. Not just here in the United States, but around the world.

The poor will have more milk to drink than ever before.

Seriously, how do you expect to have a good world war without opposing sides?

Do you have another plan for curbing the overpopulation problem coupled with the challenge of feeding billions of starving people around the world on ever limited resources?

I mean, seriously, Kumbaya what?

Meeneecat,

I applaud you for that, and SO as well as I have read and re-read that thread many times.

Over the course of my years here at ATS what I can tell you is this, if you want to know the REAL truth though, behind eliminating what SO has outlined? Unfortunately is only one. Stop responding to them.

When you come into forums such as these with high hopes of rational debate and discussion, you will be let down every time. Not because of the dynamic of the forums themselves, but because, in essence, most people do not WANT rational debate or discussion, what instead they DO tend to want more often is, themselves to be seen as having the only right answer. This is the battle that should be fought, and in that, there IS no winning.

Yes. You should come into a forum to debate that you should not debate at all. That is a good way to utilize your time and opinions.

Well, 2012 is right around the corner.

Sir Isaac Newton mathematically predicted the war to happen around 2060.

It's really intriguing to guess how long it will take the welfare system to collapse the American dollar.

I know a good many Canadians who are digging in ever so deeper. And you probably have noticed that the RCMP are very, very strict about sending illegals out of your country.

Debating is one thing, obviously, having closed-minded discussion on BOTH sides, is another...neither wins, just like you won't and neither will your opponents.

But rest assured that I do take my own advice, and this will be the first and last time that I respond to you, so feel free and talk it up all you want but in the end, who is really utilizing time and opinions flippantly?

Good luck.

Can't say I'm surprised. Nothing he does is aimed at helping America, this bungling idiot couldn't run a lemonade stand without screwing it up. Really, what has he done to help America? What? Extend unemployment for three years? A stimulus package that fell flat on it's face? National health care that nobody wanted? a ban on oil drilling? He needs four more years to finish turning this country into a third world nation, we're on the fast track now.

what has he done to help this country?...apparently you don't care about the 20 to 25% poorest people in this country.
oh by the way, your great republican leaders just did away with afforable womens health care for poor women...but hey that's only 4 to 5 million a year...plus THEY HAVE NO MONEY! that makes them expendable in your eyes. EPA has been cut by billions...so your kids better be careful about, what they eat and drink, (contamnation by business profit concerns) , and the air they breathe...F the powerless, all hail the wealthy!!! should be your motto...aren't you proud of yourself?
