On the ninth of May it will be a decade since the legendary press conference at The National Press Club in Washington D.C.
Everyone hoped it would herald a new dawn of openness, with the powers that be feeling forced to react to the truly staggering cast of government and military witnesses.
Alas nothing of the sort happened and now it is consigned ufo history.

This leaves the question " Does the calibre of witness make any difference ? "

We have NASA astronauts, ex presidents , a five star admiral and countless doctors to name just a few of the people willing to come foward but the public still meets their proclaimations with apathy.

What i would like to know is what is your most important witness testimony and do you feel a whistleblower will ever make a big difference ?
Lets face it Bob Lazar and Col. Philip J. Corso did not stand up to scrutiny very well within the UFO community.

I can not speak for everyone, but to me, it has to be Phil Schneider. I mean, this guy is actually missing fingers and has burns/scars to back up his story.

For those who don't know of Phil and his story just google it. He did many lectures so you shouldn't have trouble finding some.

Hey CrashRetrieval, I wouldn't say it's the most important but it's certainly very interesting - see 0:40.

I felt like I needed to share this somewhere. I don't know if this is anything close to what you're looking for, but I've spent all morning reading FBI files on the Vault concerning UFO's.

vault.fbi.gov...

There is also a Roswell file that I printed for future reading. What I find interesting is the fact the declassified memos actually talk about the "recovery" of discs. Very casually, too.

One of the more intersting reports is on the 22nd page of "Part 1." It blew my mind. I haven't read through all of them at this time.

Sorry if this has been posted before, and i'm fairly sure it has, and if this is the case the moderators are free to delete my comment. I don't post much, but this was just too big for me to ignore. I sincerely hope you read these, and pass them on. I have a feeling disclosure is creeping closer and closer every passing day.

I think it's a very difficult subject, I truly beleive we are not alone, we have and are being visited, having said that there has been so much information, then dis-information, so many accounts of people seeing/meeting ET, then shouts of hoax!. I have never up until now caught sight of a UFO & I think if one came and landed in my street & ET popped out I would'nt know whether to beleive myself or not.

Interesting line of thought.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I've always thought it was funny that so many people dismiss the idea of aliens or intelligent life outside of Earth, but accept any religion as fact without concrete evidence. I fail to see the difference.

No probs mate, great thread and very interesting question to pose
- I don't know if you've read through them but there's also some intriguing 'object description' testimony here from cases such as the Colares incident, the Portage County incident, the Minot AFB incident etc.. which also sounds pretty freaky.
Cheers.

I have to say Travis Walton due to the fact there were other witnesses who saw the UFO and their stories never changed. Travis Walton continues to stand by his abduction story today.

I also think the Allagash Incident is a strong case since it involved multiple witnesses and all were abducted.

Great Post and great subject.

As I've stated many times here, the two "Witness Testimony" DVD's done by the Disclosure Project following the Washington Press Club gig have all the BELLRINGERS you can imagine, they are 2 hours each.

Especially in the later part of both discs, Daniel Salter, who worked for the NRO, gives first hand accounts of bringing down craft and also mentions the "ED" energy device which burns nothing.

I know a lot of you have seen the National Press Club material, but can I suggest that you purchase the Witness Testimony DVD's and you will see what I mean.

Also on the discs is the Robert Salas case, Phillip Corso' son talks about the fibre optic cable his father had.

The reason the National Press Club gig did nothing, is that 3 months later we had 911 and every story around the world got "Buried" for a long time.

For me it would have to be Gen. Parviz Jafari , the Iranian pilot who had the close encounter with a UFO in 1976 .

Most of the military and Air line pilots accounts Have too be taken seriously.
As pointed out guys who were cleared all the way up and do what only a couple percent are able too even achieve and are credible on every other subject up too them sighting UFO's.
What gives?
Its like the whole ufo phenom thing is all around yet the gov and a percentage of the scientific folks just wont even think of looking at it regardless.
Odd behavior for a species whom prides itself on self awareness and exceeds at learning/building.
Its like a crazy phobia of put your head in the sand and dont look because you are afraid what you thought was reality is only part of what the big picture is.
I know.
Show me proof.........
Lolz.

To me it would be the one that finally proves it, with out a doubt, via evidence, and not theory.

Show me science fact, not fiction...

I have to agree. Phil Schneider seems very genuine and he does bear scars to back up his story.

I think the only way whistle blowers will make a difference is if they group together and disclose what they know at the same time. This would grab the publics attention and get them to start thinking about the whole UFO/ET situation more.

And with more believers, comes more and more people pressing for disclosure.

Peace

Great Topic S&F

Does the calibre of witness make any difference ?

Really hard to tell.

Of course a UFO report coming from NASA astronauts, Army General and other peoples with certain "Status" can be, at first look, more reliable than the reports coming from average Joe.

But those are human too and can make mistake like everybody else.

And see Barney and Betty Hill case, Is their average joe "status" minimize the impact of the case ? for me its no but its a perception issue here.

Having more and more reports coming from scientists, doctors, military etc...is a good thing, we need more credible sources, i'm SOOOOOOOOOO pissed off with Youtube Fakes, Hoaxers and CGI

Peace all
