Thus, hundreds of thousands of lives were saved. Millions between the three.

They left the choice up to the cities.

In modern times, rarely have cites been completely destroyed, in an effort to stop the senseless killing and suffering of military and civilian alike.

After Hiroshima was scorched, the Japanese still didn't get it. They wanted to fight on. So we scorched Nagasaki, and it finally began to sink in. They were NOT going to win, and to continue was certain death.

We really only have one example of what would likely occur if the US had to invade Mainland Japan. For 81 days, we fought on Okinawa, and here's where it gets interesting.

More lives were lost on Okinawa than both atomic bombs killed.

It was estimated that over a million American casualties would be lost on mainland Japan, and likely several million Japanese. Men, women, and children.

But that didn't happen because of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

This BS from the Middle East, especially the ongoing attacks by Hamas and Hizballah have gone on long enough, creating enough blood to float a twelve-meter yacht.

Let them go. Get it over with. Let Gaza or the West Bank people decide. Peace, or destruction.

Simple problem, simple solution, and the result will be peace.

One way or another.

Your way - the misery, pain, suffering, and chaos will go on and on without end.

The other way - it's over.

They are also the only three religions that openly persecute each other and all other belief systems..

Okay, I know this isn't the topic of the thread, but I just had to set something straight:

So #1... Muslims, Jews, and Christians are people not "consepts" (also known as "concepts" if spelling was something that mattered... hahaha I'm a total spelling-fascist, and I couldn't help but giggle).

And #2... These religions aren't "the greatest evil". I mean, I can only speak as a Christian: but a lot of Christians are NOT evil people. Calling them such is an ignorant generalization.

The institution of the Catholic church might not exactly be the most morally upright institution in the world, but that doesn't mean that all Catholics are evil people. Just as the American government isn't exactly the most just and honorable government, it doesn't mean that all Americans are just as unjust and not honorable.



But I will admit that through my own experience I have met many very judgmental, small minded, ignorant Christians who have the intelligence and mental capacity of a wet, moldy, festering pile of *BLEEP*. But those people are NOT Christians. They can call themselves as such, but since they don't act like Christians they are not.

For example: I have many tattoos and piercings. Sometimes when I go to church, these so-called "up-right" "loving" and "accepting" Christians will give me some of the dirtiest and most insulting looks. But, because unlike these people, I am a Christian: I will smile back at them.

REAL Christians turn the other cheek when they are wronged. And they do their best to go out of their way to help and love others; regardless of looks, beliefs, or any other dividing factor.

Obviously I'm no saint - far from it. But at least I try my hardest to treat my fellow human beings with the same dignity that I feel I deserve. That simple courtesy is something that certain members of EVERY religion share: no matter how corrupt the religious institution that they align themselves with.

So don't say something as silly as "Muslims Jews and Christians though, are the three most evil consepts since the dawn of religion..."

Thank you for shedding a non biased light on a touchy subject. I appreciate your careful approach. I personally think all organized religions have roots in satanism/evil, but the practitioners of modern day religions of all denominations have good intentions. It is the extremists of each sect that spit ridiculous agendas that can't be ignored and must be singled out. Due to them, good god fearing Christians like yourself get associated with the wrong crowd. Just be yourself, don't try and conform to their form of how they think your religion should be or represent
