Just reading and there's been apparently two quakes in Japan, I know they have a lot recently but both were at 7.4 magnitude! Both were a minute apart, same place!

One at the depth of: 25.6km
Second at the depth of: 40km

And Mexico had a couple big ones not long ago, today!

So this just shows that both sides of the World are moving drastically at around about the same time!!!

Please pray for Japan right now ladies and gentleman. This is truly tragic. My heart is breaking for those people.

Just read somewhere that generally, a large quake will eventually be followed by an aftershock approximately one magnitude lower. Since the original quake was a 9.0, a 7.4 would sound about right. This could be taken as a sign that the worst is now over.

However, as noted above we are talking TWO quakes, one right after the other and in the same general location. Simply do not know what to make of that.

I'll be saying a prayer for those poor folks in Japan.

wow your ignorance astounds me, an "aftershock" is is directly after a main earthquake, hence why after the 9.2 on march 11th there was several lesser aftershocks, this earthquake 3 weeks later is NOT an aftershock of march 11th.

If it was truly a double-quake (never heard of that before), anyone have an idea of what equivalent power a single quake would have?

Would it be a 7.5 or 8.6 or...? (Guessing)

Way to trash on someone for speculating. If you're the forefront of all earthquake knowledge maybe you should provide some in depth explanations and whatnot, asshole

It's only 1 quake. The same thing happened with the usgs website when the 9 struck - double reports which were later merged into one accurate report.

Ans it has now been merged and can be confirmed by checking both links posted above which now refer to the same url.

Hey,

A lot of our ATS members were talking about HAARP being down the other day and other online services.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Their idea was HAARP was getting ready to do something like this.

Weird eh?

I am not sure what I believe but we know now what HAARP can be capable of.

Why are we attacking eachother and calling one another ignorant? Aftershocks can happen MONTHS after a major earthquake.

Absolutely terrible. I would say that this is common for the "Ring of Fire" area, but my skeptical side has started to dwindle in the past few months.

Of course there will be aftershocks to quake's, but this is a 7.4, only 1 removed from the quake from last month. I'm no geologist, but my instinct tells me something is very very wrong with this planet.

Exactly, and I am positive it was turned off today so they could pretend it was a downed server and hide the evidence.

I think it may have also affected that man in Rio who went on a shooting spree - I'm not sure but I think HAARP can affect our minds too.
