Awesome job on finding the video!!

That explosion goes on for a fairly long time, alot longer than I would have thought after seeing the image earlier in the thread

Could it be a power station exploding?

Shortly after the flash, all the lights start going out.

I was about to post the same video with questions about that flash , I guess You beat me to it
That flash looked weird . Also the rating is 7.4 , at least that is what NHK World is reporting.

Exactly
Whether you like it or not, we really do not have any control over this great big planet on which we as parasites breed.

Anyway, it looks like quite a big aftershock, but it was expected. With luck, not a lot of damage.

I wonder if that might have been some major power distribution facility that got a major short circuit .

Yep and so did the Russian shuttle

Huh? Mind clarifying that? I wasn't aware Russia had any Space Shuttles in orbit......

They have an unmanned progress supply ship that launched yesterday and is on it's way to the station.

What it was was medium sized sub-station, and the entire thing overloaded. Seen this many times before. Just happens to look amazing because it was at night. If you watch, after the transformers go out, watch the lights in the buildings to the right and center. power is lost, 0.9 seconds later.

OMG, I just thought of something.

What direction is this camera facing relative to the Nuclear Plants? Is it feasible that if there was a nuclear explosion that 1) it could be seen from this vantage point and 2) would it only be a flash of light like this?

Please someone tell me that I am crazy that this could NOT be a nuclear explosion...all flaming welcome in this instance.

The media is not even mentioning it, and now every time they show that clip, the cut it right before the explosion. They have shown it multiple times and stop right before it happens. I hope a power plant is all it is....why would they not show it or mention it? I'm sure the people over there would like to know....
