If you havent seen Paul, go see it now!!! I died laughing thru this whole movie.
Paul, a Grey, escapes Area 51, to rendezvous with his fellow Greys, and along the way, he hooks up with 2 brit sci fi nerds from comic con, who help him meet up with the other Greys. along the way they encounter Fundie Christians and outrun the MIB. Lots of nods to classic sci fi films.
Its a fun movie, and Seth Rogan voices the pot smoking, crass Grey.
Not a film for kids, but definitely on my list to buy when it hits DVD

I can't wait for all the posts from people claiming all kinds of subliminal messages in it!

Seriously though, I can't wait to see it.

It was a good cast, and kept my attention thru the entire film.
Laughing out loud though, I did not. It was a lot of pop culture style humor, very low brow for the most part, a tad yuck yuck-ish at times. Seth Rogan was like your typical college party boy on a road trip, I would be offended if I were a Gray and saw this movie.
The ET style ending wasn't bad, I'm not berating the film, it was just a little magoo for me at times.

Sounds like a waste of time and money...

I found it quite amusing, if low-brow, but I wouldn't rank it as "one of the BEST alien films of all time!"

If you are in the mood for it, it's pretty funny, but certainly not high cinema.

It is available for free online, that's how I saw it. I'd post the link, but I'm not sure that's legal to do here.
There is a site called movie25, good stuff.

Yeah.. right.

The Aliens series is clearly one of the best written "alien" films of all time. [Not including Star Wars].

get over yourselves, its a movie and its funny, it will probably go down in history as the best alien movie ever, because more people will watch it.

It hasn't got the sci fi label, so it won't scare all those footballers away, who don't want to be seen watching a nerds movie.

Yes I love when people on ATS connect something such as a hollywood movie and aliens that somehow there is a connection for subtle disclosure. I hat to burst your bubble folks but hollywood works with trends..Remember Scream and all of the slasher flicks that followed? Remember the Halloween Franchise, Friday the 13th, Nightmare On Elmstreet phase? Or for the younger kiddies the grudge type movies that seem to crop up? Or fast foward today when you have all of the Super Hero movies coming out? Is Hollywood giving us hints about some new x-men in real life that are out there..no just like the alien movies like Battleifield LA, Paul, Mars needs moms etc...they no this is in the interest of the public at the moment so that's where some of the focus will be around movie distribution..not everything has to have meaning folks..just sit back don't think about it and enjoy the movies..

It's a Simon Pegg film. Of course it's one of the best movies of all time

Incidently, ever notice that all the stuff he writes involves conspiracies of one sort or another?

Nobody should really have been expecting it to be a masterpiece. Probably best to go when you're in the mood to just laugh at stupid comedy.

People take themselves too seriously.

it was pretty funny i admit. i dont know but after things i have read, i could only hope greys are that nice... but it seems everything i read they are soul-less, dark, consciously unaware of emotion, ruling our elites.. but then so are the reptillians.. god only knows we will see i guess.

I don't know about best alien film of all time, but I was really impressed by it. Pegg and Frost are either real UFO enthusiasts or researched a lot because they seemed to really seemed to know their UFO lore! I didn't sense that it was meant to mock actual UFO believers or anything.

It is definitely not one of the best alien movies of all time. It was a B movie at its best. There are some laugh out loud moments but almost all of them were covered in the trailer.

Simon Peggs a genius, i watched shaun of the dead again recently, loved the bit when the threw cushions and a mug tree at the zombie to try and kill it, and went through his record collection picking which ones to throw at the zombie, sade, yes , new order extended 12 inch version blue monday no. I cant wait to see Paul, my 12 year old daughter wants to see it but from what ive heard its not really suitable for kids, i mean REALLY not suitable.

I saw it and It instantly hit the number one spot on my Favorite Movie List! I loved that movie. It's a comedy yes, but it is also a very good movie. One that really stays with you and in your thoughts!
