No way any organization outside of US, Russia, and China has 160 "Nuclear" bombs. The article says the letters are likely hoaxes, but even if they were real, we would be talking about dirty bombs, not nuclear bombs. 160 dirty bombs would be a huge inconvenience, and it would cause some deaths, but it would not bring down the country. Dirty bombs would kill a few people in each location, and disrupt normal lifestyles and commerce. The biggest damage would probably be economical damage!
Anyhow, I don't think there is anything to fear from this. I can say my office has received no notifications or any special instructions to take precautions, apparently the letters in Florida aren't being taken too seriously so far.
I'm thinking this is a hoax/prank, or an amateur attempt to extort some money.
Previously we had reported, Local news in San Diego on February 9, 2011 broadcast down below chilling interview with San Diego Assistant Port Director. I-Team reporter speaks to assistant port director Al Hallor about what they find during port of entry inspections..answering to the question Al Hallor Assistant Port Director said they had found the weapon of mass destruction in San Diego.

This is someones sick joke. Although it is a hoax...if it were real though I am not sure how Obama would handle it but I sure know how Reagan would handle it if he were alive and still President. He would simply say if one nuke goes off in the US we would turn Mecca into glass.edit on 3/31/2011 by CaptGizmo because: (no reason given)

A dirty bomb would be very difficult to smuggle into the country, or to any decent target site. There are radiation monitoring points everywhere, and mobile units that patrol. I have first hand knowledge of this.

The final weapons/devices are radiation shielded to prevent premature detonation, those radiation monitors might be abe to detect raw materials, but your confidence in their abilitiy to detect a final product is probably overestimated IMO.
