Nothing is being "suppressed"
The solar wind has low density, low speed, and and strong north turn.

is this happening right now? i don't want to fear monger i am just trying to make conclusions based on passed events

I'm not trying to stir anything up I'm just wondering why phage (sorry to point you out specifically) has had to say the same thing (whether true or not) about this phenomenon on like three different posts I've read now.

Couple of question for solar watchers:

Do we have a CME or other heavy weather heading towards us?
Is this magnetospheric anomoly the 'draw back' like happens before a tsunami hits? Solar wind seems to have been pretty intense & now suddenly dropped to a lull like it was switched off.

If so, next hours could be erm.... 'bumpy'

Because he is correct, and one of the few people who care about being correct vs. stirring up hype.

I'm going to say almost noone posting has any understand of the magnetic field, solar wind, or any other contributing factor. They see one picture that looks one way, and another that looks another way and BAM instant assumption.

I think anyone interested should do outside research on the aspects involved, then make your own informed decision. You may find that the majority of others are uneducated about the topics, blatant fear hypers, or both.

I honestly know very little about the topic, but from what I'm learning, the OP and the ones like it are far off base.

Admittedly, I thought it was peculiar and worth more research on my part. But subsequent research is showing me that like I said, the OP and the others with his opinion are far off base.

But don't take my word for it, do your own research, come to your own conclusions.

I am aware that the magnetosphere acting up is usually due to solar activity, however recently our understanding of both our earth and the solar system we live in has been challenged in so many ways, it is impossible to predict what will happen. I was just aware of the magnetosphere acting up due to solar winds and during some major earthquakes, and as i could not see any outside effect (solar activity although Spaceweather did report a minor CME yesterday (as in it impacted us yesterday) it lead me to conclude it was an internal phenomenon (the core).

If there had been an X Class flare yesterday my post would have focused on that, however the point im trying to make is that this anomoly is happening and there is no visible external effect Megnetsophere videos look yourself, there was interference end of 29, however the magnetic field was acting up 12 hours after that, and much more drastically then when it was impacted. Also with the rumbling noise phenomenon, thousands of displaced and dead Beatles, Earthquakes moving along the ring of fire, Imminent polar shift (magnetic) and the fact that quite a few large events are over due caused some alarm as the magnetic field was acting without external factors (from what i can see) therefore the core must be acting up, now that in my judgement lead me to believe a EQ was imminent. I hope im wrong but alot of signs of a large event in my observation

Umm, the depth of the 4.7 FIGI REGION Earthquake earlier today was 8.5 times that depth, so I fail to see anything too odd about that.

No. That most recent screenshot shows normal, northward orientation of the magnetic field.

Nothing at all is hinting that the poles have switched, or will switch within the next few days.

I have left the SoCal area and am currently in my motorhome,in the Hi Desert on the NV/UT border, waiting to see what, if anything happens.
Because I am in a motorhome, I feel every ground movement, and I just felt 2 tremors in the past 10 min. I am waiting for the USGS EQ site to update as I write this...
I also have been watching NICT, which I have had bookmarked for months now, and it looks to me as tho the outer shield on the pressure image is thinning...is it just me, or is that how it appears to you all as well?
Hoping for the best, (but hopefully, prepared for the worst)

Do you think this has something to do with the reason why all of the South and North Pole Stations are now
AIRBRUSHED FROM GOOGLE MAPS? I was just looking at them a few weeks ago-now its just an ugly smudge covering up all the bases.

Perhaps the last quake destabilized something there that the powers-that-be don't want us to see?
