It sounds like Sheriff A is turning his jurisdiction into a Reality Show (with Steven Segal)..."bad boys, bad boys, whatch ya gonna do when they come for you, bad boys,,,,,:" I will say this that is one way to get around posse comitatus: issue military equipment like tanks to the police instead of using the military themselves per se for law enforcement.

That is not animal cruelty. How were they killed? If it was lethal injection that is fine. They were not abused, raped, or tortured. That topic is for a different thread. Now they can be eaten, you saved a lot of starving people. I still stick up for the sheriff driving the artillery equipment into the criminals yard.

translation = nothing to see here just move on you are in the wrong forum

NOT!!!

nothing to do with the increased militarization of what are supposed to be peace-officers , certainly not straw-bosses or local overseers.

first it was the mexicans... and you didn't give a crap
take a good look they'll be coming for your guns soon my ugly american. don't cry then. the rest of the world will just laugh at you.

the roosters?
well, they destroyed them in order to save them, just like a Vietnamese village, just like the Libyans, after all the whole point of making cock-fights illegal was because there's money to be confiscated , not because it's cruel to animals.

as for me, i know at least 8 ways to permanently damage these expensive toys, and extremely cheap too.

P.S. those are tanks, so stop the downplaying
when they are used against you and yours, lets see you claim nonsense.

Yet by that same token there was no proof that the criminal DIDN'T have any firepower or WASN'T going to fight back. Now what?

next they'll use flame-throwers against little old ladies at a church bingo [illegal gambling], no seriously, a hat-pin is a lethal weapon in the hands of an octogenarian.

then they'll carpet-bomb a kindergarten schoolyard fight, in the name of keeping the peace.

but you keep applauding these psychos, and claiming there's nothing to be concerned about.

Question. Why does a Police Officer carry a gun?

Is it for his protection? Your protection? Or is it a symbolic threat?

Obey, or we will kill you. No difference with an APC. Obey or we will come to your home, burst in and if you attempt to protect yourself, we will kill you, your children or your pets.

If we deputize a soldier they become a Police Officer. End run around the Constitution.

Wait so because there was NO DEFINITIVE PROOF that he WAS NOT ARMED they were justified in using a tank?

So what are they going to require next cameras inside our homes... For OFFICER SAFETY?

Now honestly I can say there are some circumstances where I TOTALLY agree with the use of armored vehicles to serve HIGH RISK WARRANTS! For example when they raid fortified crack houses with KNOWN ARMED suspects inside that will die before going to jail.

But when someone is Not considered armed and dangerous to use such blatant overkill is not just a waste of taxpayer money but also contributing to the desensitizing of the public to the militarization of the police.

As far as this whole hunting "criminals" on reality tv trend... I think it's contributing greatly to a culture that now presumes guilt not innocence!

How would you feel if it was your house that got tear gassed and had WALLS knocked out by ARMORED VEHICLES during the serving of a warrant? What if you were innocent and it still happened? Swat teams do in fact raid the wrong house enough times a year for it to be a real risk. People get KILLED in these raids their property is damage they are thrown to the ground cuffed drug out of their homes in what, IF ANYTHING, they wear to bed! Depending on where this happens the amount of recourse you have varies widely.

They already have those. They're called fiber-optic cameras that they slip under the door to recon the room before they breach it.

Using a tank huh? Correct me if I am wrong, but when law enforcement officers are serving an arrest warrant aren't they allowed to use all and any means necessary to full fill the terms of the warrant? In the 1800s they would form a huge posse and bring bad guys down. So whats next, using Apaches helicopters to pull over speeders?

That doesn't sound like a bad idea to me. Well maybe not an Apache. Better yet an MH6J little bird or a UH-1 Iroquois. Or maybe a UH-60 Black-Hawk. But not to pull over speeders. That would be more suited for high-risk traffic stops involving drugs. Etc.

here, have a mirror:

Psychosis (from the Greek ???? "psyche", for mind/soul, and -?s?? "-osis", for abnormal condition) means abnormal condition of the mind, and is a generic psychiatric term for a mental state often described as involving a "loss of contact with reality". People suffering from psychosis are described as psychotic. Psychosis is given to the more severe forms of psychiatric disorder, during which hallucinations and delusions and impaired insight may occur.

you're the one out of touch with reality cheerleading irational violence.

i'll bet you're too young to remember the days when the KGB would "serve no-knock warrants"
roaring: "KGB! Remain Calm"

Best method to get rid of flying insects is to shut off all the lights in your house, then turn on a light out on the porch and open the door. Works every time the bugs think it's the moon or something and leave.

I saw an armored police vehicle recently down in the hood. No glass, look like a giant portable George Foreman grill. Just playing with new toys I guess, but it still felt out of place with little kids running around.
