This fault seems to be under extreme pressure if people are seeing lights in the sky. Earthquake lights. These always happen before big ones; no? I think so Joe.

Also, I can't help but wonder if these very odd and very loud rumbling noises are the hallmark of extreme tension buildup that is rarely seen on Earth. Could we see an earthquake above 9.5 along this fault? It makes you wonder.

I see you have the Boston, Ma. area on your map. I live there and have not heard anything at all out of the ordinary. I also checked my compass yesterday and that was normal as well.

i live stockton, in the central vallley of california, and there has not been any of the rumblings as that one video in florida in the last week.
however, i used to live in merced, calif, and in atwater, calif. (about 12 miles away) there was a SAC base, they would do engine testing for many minutes at a time. on some days, the sound would carry all the way to merced, and it seemed it happened when the air was considerably cooler than normal. that long and loud rumbling that was on that rumbling from florida, sounded like that. i'm not saying it is, but that's the best i can come up from experience. my 2 cents

In the night of 21e of march I heard it in the city I live in, Maastricht in the south of Holland.

Not that loud but I definitely heard the same sound and it lasted for ten minutes.

I'm in NYC and haven't heard any noise out of the ordinary or any strange flashes of light in the sky here.
theres always some loud bang coming from who knows where, but thats normal, construction or drilling noises travel cause of the bed rock in NYC so hard to tell.

I don't have any specific dates....BUT my mother who lives in Cadiz, KY is often complaining about the occasional low frequency rumbling......for a long time she thought it was a barge on Lake Barkley.....but no one else hears it. She is actually a bit hard of hearing! But she is also very psychic......dunno if this is a factor or not.
We are also very close to Ft. Cambell army base which is HUGE. Dunno if the military is involved.

This 'noises' have been going on for years so Im not so sure why everyones suddenly worried now.
The fact that a natural disaster occurred which in turn triggered another which then both combined and triggered a nuclear 'situation' has no doubt got people putting 2+2 together and hoping for/assuming 5.

More importantly Youtube didn't suface until about 2005 which is what everyone seems to base the end of the world on. Things did happen BEFORE you know , its just that everyone bangs a search into Youtube , finds a result within the last year and......Ahhhhh its the end of the world.

ever thought about doing a movie or write a book?
I will not stop having an open mind but these ideas are outside the boundary.

Or maybe........The Taos Hum

The Taos Hum is a faint, low-frequency humming noise heard in and near the town of Taos, New Mexico. Not only is the hum's source a mystery, but its peculiar qualities are as well: only about 2 percent of Taos residents - about 1,400 people - can hear it. The low hum - between 30 and 80 Hz on the frequency scale - has been described by hearers as sounding like a diesel engine idling in the distance or having a slow beat-note sound. Some people perceive it as being louder indoors than outdoors. More mysterious still, some hearers who are bothered by the sound have tried earplugs and other acoustic quieting devices to block it out - to no effect. Investigations by scientists, including some from the prestigious Sandia National Laboratories, have failed to find a source or even a plausible explanation for the phenomenon. One theory is that the source is the U.S. Navy's ELF (extra-low frequency) communications system that is used to communicate with its submarine fleet. The Navy, of course, accepts no such responsibility.

Taos isn't the only town afflicted with an annoying hum. According to The Taos Hum Homepage, "Nearly every state in the U.S. has at least one 'hum hearer' report, including Alaska and Hawaii. The largest number of reports come from the southwestern U.S., the Pacific Northwest, and southeastern states. Worldwide, the hum has caused such problems in the U.K. and Sweden that hum-hearer support groups have formed there. There are hum-hearer reports from Italy and from Mexico." The Bristol Hum is the most widely reported hum in the U.K.

I agree with another poster and am not bashing on americans why is it when you americans say world map you then only post an american map what about the rest of us I am in the UK and have also posted hearing a low rumbling noise in north east lincolnshire between 5-6 pm yesterday my partner has also heard it but she was more sceptical and said it was a far off plane that neither of us could see the blanket is still firmly pulled over her eyes lol it could also be heard later and has been heard today intermittently if I was technology wise I would record and post but am still a novice when it comes to this plastic thing I'm typing at lol we are not in an eq area but 2 yrs ago we experienced our first noticeable quake the house shook for the first time well I was informed sleep like a rock was gutted that I missed it but I am definitely getting concerned for us all

Can't people of different ages hear different frequencies? Maybe it would be helpful to you to find out the age of the people reporting. That could explain why some people hear it in a certain place and some in the same place do not?

Sound 1 you linked in your post is quite soothing to my ears. It strangely helps me concentrate and feel relaxed for some reason

The fact that only a few people can hear it is quite strange. Perhaps it has something to do with the frequency of their own energy so that only those that are synced in can hear it.

This Morning North Carolina - Charlotte Area
The strange sound was heard around 8:15 -9:00 am It was not constant first we thought it was thunder then we looked outside and the weather is perfect. This sound was more like a rumble before the earthquake then silence and then at another interval again.

We realized is not the first time we hear it and we only paid attention this time because of all discussions on ATS otherwise we would dismiss it. Hope this helps.

I am curious if other people heard it from NC area ???

This noise does seem to have been occuring for a long time. However, at the weekend it appears that it was experienced by a large number of people all over the planet. It would make a person think something may be about to happen.

This has been completely lost by a lot of people coming along with many different stories whihc span a very long timeframe. There are now a ridiculous number of threads running on the matter which is just leading to a lot of confusion. Its almost as if someone is trying to confuse us. There is also a strong attempt at trying to blame this on earthquake zones.

It would be very simple for someone to set up a thread and request people who have heard this noise only over the last week and then plot the movement and times of the event. I know I heard this around 11.30pm on Sunday night. I know also that people in a neighbouring country heard it a few hours later. Its almost as if it was travellling around the globe.

It should be very simple to organise but the whole thing has turned into a farce and I am not sure if this was the plan by some of those involved.

I'm going to hedge my bet you are hearing low frequency energy waves from Japan.
They have had more than 700 5+ quakes in 13 days and some are less than 5 Km from the surface.
These can travel around the world. Maybe some resonance as well

It was me that heard the noise in Louisiana, I live in Covington, north of Lake Ponchatrain. I heard it Sunday night but it only lasted about a minute or two, not 30 minutes like others heard. my husband went outside to see what it could be but didn't find anything. We just shurgged it off.

I live very near Jackson, MS. On March 20th I kept hearing something that sounded like a constant droning, or low rumbling, off and on throughout the day and evening hours. The sound would go on for maybe 10 minutes and then stop, only to begin again later in the day. Also, my dog was acting very strangely all day, refusing to go outside despite that it was a beautiful day. That is not like her at all.
