My first post here on ATS but have been reading a lot of stuff as a non registered memeber.

I didn't read this thread all the way through as it's quite long but just wanted to share my data.

I live on the countryside in the very south of Sweden (56°10'39.13"N). My house is "pointing" very close to North North East and I've used it to compare directions for a long time.

I took a reading of my compass and Noth here is where it should be. The compass is a an analog one.

What Official story are you talking about, It is not on the News, haven't heard the White House confirm it. I have confirm from an astro physic's that it is happening in other areas also, that a pole formed over South Africa. You are not even going to be able to get anyone in the Media to even talk about it. Even if you disagree, say what you want to say without getting all bent out of shape, Yes, like I did trying to keep everyone on the subject of the Magnetic Field and not about going on on on and on about where True North is and everyone in the Eastern US can't read a compass.

Mad Dog, Mine now read about 2 clicks West of North. I am happy with that and I hope it doesn't start wondering again. If it starts going father West that means it is just flipping the other way. Which won't hurt us humans since it has happened in other places. Still very few birds and did see one humming bird, no squirrels or anything else. Later.

My compass looks unaffected. I'm in Las Vegas. It sounds like it is shifted ini certain parts of the country, which sounds really odd.

Have not read the whole thread so don't know if correlation was made yet but looking at maps from first 10 pages or so of thread and where in U.S compasses were off and where mass animals deaths occurred they seem to be the same.

Cool thread, I follow it once in a while. Since I read that most of us are FAR too stupid to read a compass I determined to make a VERY scientific study. I am currently on the North Island of New Zealand, Southern Hemisphere. I used my HIGHLY scientific compass (two dollar store keychain, neon green and wayyy cool looking) and cross-referenced it with another compass (cheap old one from a science class). These two high tech gadgets do point in the exact same direction. I have no idea where the magnetic north should be, so I put them both on the garage floor and made a line pointing north with a magic marker (also HIGHLY scientific I'm sure!) I CAREFULLY monitered them (i.e., randomly checked once in a while) and they always pointed in the same direction. This morning the magnetic north was approximately 23 degrees to the east of where it usually reads. Cheers!

Southern Minnesota here, compass is dead on.

I'm an Army vet, I know how to use it.

I couldn't find my camera last night, I was just on vacation and had a car break down and had to revamp everything for moving it out of the vehicle fast. I looked for a half hour, and I'm going to look for it again tonight in hopes that I have another clear night.

Where I live is in an area with a lot of light pollution.

Because maybe my camera would have picked up that my compass North and the North Star were about 45 degrees away from each other.

Still interested in the topic.
