It's gone quite quiet - as far as I can tell, there haven't been any developments at all today? They were last seen pouring sea water - then Akio Komiri was seen to breakdown and cry after admitting it's much worse than reported. So what is going on? Are they filling it up with cement now or what? We need to know. What are they doing? Even japantimes.co.jp hasn't updated their front page in 9 hours.

EDIT: It's now 6:41am Saturday 19th March in Japan. You would seriously think there's a new development for the Japanese to wake up to today?

Honestly, as important as it is to know whats going on over there, I welcome the break from the media coverage if only for a day.

Oil is more important than radiation leaks right now. Europe and the U.S have to try to come out of this recession somehow and bad news like the radiation leaking in Japan lowers morale and panics people.

Meanwhile a damn good victory over a man, the said above were in cahoots with less than 6 weeks ago, will do wonders for their ratings in the polls and hopefully kick start a recovery in the economy.

It's a mad world isn't it?

Hmm, I disagree. I think we need to know what is being done about this radiation. In this case, the more information, the better.

Pay close attention to where our "leaders" are located over the next few days... it will be very telling.

From what I understand, there has been no change in Japan.

The only new news I found was on a international nuclear agency site.

It is a good site for new news about the reactors condition. It says that they (Japan) has increased the level of danger the reactors are causing.

The site lists danger levels 1-7 with explanations what each level is. Several of the reactors are now at level 5 threat which the agency equivialates to 3 mile island.

To view the danger level information click on the pdf. link to the left of the main article.

I agree with you, the news seems to be gone. I think it may be because the threat is really severe and there is an attempt to keep MSM from televising the dangers in fear of panics.

U.S. had to start this Libya attack to focus you away from Japan at the moment...Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain....

You'd think they would tell us *something* though. Anything. So at the minute, the nuclear plants are just spewing out radiation into the atmosphere, with no new progress.

I would imagine that it is a more important local issue than an international one. It is too far away to worry about in America and Europe. Yellowstone, comet, aliens, etc. will most likely get us long before radiation will.

But there are no new reports on the local .co.jp newspaper website. They aren't telling *anybody* *anything*.

Let me explain it this way. When your dad or mum caught you out doing something wrong and you knew you were going to get it did you start crying before you got punished?

Well so is he.
