I don't even think people in this thread who are against this NFZ would believe that.
Absolutely laughable. And from Pravda no less!

I've been reading stuff like this from Lybia for over 30 years. Of course, it generally comes from independent media. That link was just the fastest one I could find, but there's plenty out there. 30 years ago it came from print, so no links. But it's all nothing new. Ghadafi is hated because he supported Cuban rebels, Nicaraguan rebels, South African rebels, etc...

I see your providing stats about DU and its ingestion through the body and its removal by fecal matter !
The point I think everyone is trying to make is , its radioactive material which is still lying there still giving a detremental effect to the environment and people who come in contact with it.
Just because we have figures on how much is removed from the body we arent seeing figures on what damage that 2% that is taken into the body does. It's radioactive , and radioactive material and biological material , dont get along well !

The thing is the military should not be using this material in their munitions because it is bad for us and the planet. Its just a good way of the military dispensing of spent nuclear material across the world without anyone raising an eyebrow.

Whilst the US is not the only country with oil interests , they certainly are one of the many countries who dont have any problems with doing whatever it takes to secure their future demands , and in the most brutal way possible and have been doing so since day 1 .

I just cant understand why peopl defend the actions of governments who are obviously corrupt . I dont support my government or any government around the world , they are all in power for power , not to protect and maintain our rights

That's not all that was in the report.

That report also shows that DU contamination is not as deadly as propagandists want to make it out to be.

Why don't you go to the link and read everything the WHO has to say about it.

DU is not NEARLY as radioactive as people say it is. If you have green glass or orange ceramic plates, that's DU. Don't confuse U238 with U235.

Of course, the US government said that, it must be true. Never mind all the independent investigations that cleared him, he must have been there himself. I'll bet he pulled the trigger.

As for Pravda, maybe not the most reliable source, but you can't discount everything they say just because. I don't feel Fox News or CNN are more credible sources.

Gaddafi 'has admitted' his role in Lockerbie bombing-The independent-2001

Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has admitted involvement in two of the worst terrorist outrages of the 1980s: the bombing of the Pan Am airliner that crashed on Lockerbie and the assault on a Berlin discotheque, a leaked German government memo reveals.

Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has admitted involvement in two of the worst terrorist outrages of the 1980s: the bombing of the Pan Am airliner that crashed on Lockerbie and the assault on a Berlin discotheque, a leaked German government memo reveals.

The Libyan leader's alleged admission came during a secret meeting with Chancellor Gerhard Schröder's chief foreign policy adviser, who related it to Germany's allies in Washington. A confidential account of that briefing has been leaked to a German newspaper.

Actually, it's not a "No Fly Zone" but rather an "Anything Goes Zone".

Many in the public missed that little twist.

More innocent deaths to follow as the wests unquenchable thirst for oil continues. Does anyone really believe they give a # about Libya's people, is there anyone left that is that stupid or naive. There simply can't be. People arguing for this are either payed to do it, forum mercenaries if you will, or long since brain dead soldier of fortune types. Hmm now I think about it that's not quite all ... there's the ones that will be doing the fighting, the young & naive, to inexperienced and ignorant to see they are being preyed on and used by the interests of big oil and nothing more. It's tragic really.

This is terrible, just like what Xavi said, when everyone's eyes is on Japan, now its time to invade poor Libya, that's terrible!

This is true and sad. no wonder i havent heard the U.S do anything about the Japanese tragedy, besides send a drone. smh

What exactly is it that you want the US to do in Japan? Do you want the US to help the innocent victims in Japan? Why do you not want the US to help the innocent victims in Libya?

I think maybe a lot people on here just want to complain about things they know nothing about.

I'm not sure what to make of this. From my standpoint as a US citizen, I see our dollar losing its value extremely fast. It makes no sense to me for us to get involved in the enforcement of the NO-FLY zone if we cannot afford to fly our own jets in the first place.

I believe the intent, just like our motive for the rest of the Middle-East is strictly oil... bottom line.

Big money paves the road to insane greed. It's like a drug to these people and their addiction lowers their moral more and more each passing day. Fighting now in absolute desperation, the Elite are clawing at any excuse possible to justify control of their gripping obsessions. Get what they want, no matter what the costs to the greater whole.

I don't think they even care how it makes them look as people, so long as they get what they want. The problem with this is that, as with any addiction.... the beast is NEVER completely satisfied.

Ah spoken like a war mongerer!

Oddly enough I looked up the word NO in the dictionary and it means not to do something, so in reality the use of the words NO FLY ZONE are not an accurate reflection of a process of an armed agressor declaring aviation dominance over another sovereign nations skies, and flying them in a violent process of their own that often kills innocent civilians.

Which of course a certain type of person always ends up blaming on the innocent civilians.

Dictonaries are handy things, and yeah, NO FLY ZONE should mean NO ONE CAN FLY IN THAT AREA.

But hey what's in a word right?
