I have AT&T too. Today it's been dropping calls like crazy. I've also had a hRd time with AM radio like never before. I know this is going way out (not so far for ATS) but the channelers and Ben culture state there is a last ditch war being waged by "the dark cabal" using all kinds of high tech weapons in an all out effort to create chaos and fear.

The other thing I have noticed is everybody I know has been exceptionally tired the last few days

hmmmm now that YOU mention it (haha) I recall the FM station I listen to regularly here in Seattle going out for minutes at a time, on different days over the past few weeks. This isn't typical for the station.

I haven't noticed anything strange with the TV, as I don't subscribe to cable TV.

Thanks for the info from your area.

There WILL be an earthquake in California of significant proportions. That has never been in question. When, where and how big, those are in question. I live here, not far from the San Andreas Fault, not far from the Hayward Fault, about 4 miles from Loma Prieta. This is knowledge I have lived with my whole life. There is a lot of speculation on here.... and a lot of the questions could be resolved with a little research. The sundog issue.... clearly it was something readily identified by someone with some experience in the area. About the bees.... you don't say anything about temperature at the time of the events.... bees go dormant (not sure of the correct term) when it gets too cold. My son found a "dead" bee and put it in his toy boat and took it in the car with him. When the bee warmed up the "dead" bee started flying around and attacked me. I'm allergic and quite fearful of bees and nearly killed both of us fending off the attack while trying to steer the car out of traffic. I don't know what the temperature is, but at some point it gets cold enough and the bees cannot fly. To really know what happened to the bees, you would have had to gather up a bunch of them and test them for toxins and pathogens. There are bee viruses that have been killing a lot of bees. I would not expect a whole swarm to drop out of the sky dead from a virus. If they were sprayed with pesticide, perhaps they would. Perhaps an entomologist could be consulted about the bees and what could kill them in the way described. I have been hearing for many years about animals behaving oddly just before an earthquake. In my household, and in my neighborhood, the animals all seem to be behaving normally.

Wow, great analysis!!!

You may be on to something big... perhaps this is why so many on the west coast, including California, feel like the next big quake is coming?

Same quakes, same places, different time...

I wonder if we do have a big quake in Cali or nearby, if all of the skeptics who think that quakes can only be detected by seismographs start re-thinking their view of the world. There is a good chance that we're all on to something....

Imagine how the world could change if people suddenly realized that simply paying attention to nature, which we've been ignoring for so long, could save lives and make for a better world.

Just for arguments sake lets do a comparison of things that have been happening this year around the ring of fire. i have noticed that there is almost a mirror image going on here. Ok here is my observations so far, large earth quakes in New Zealand, large earth quakes in Chile, moderate earth quakes in Indonesia moderate earth quakes in Mexico, large earth quakes Japan, large earth quake ( see where i am going with this ) you guessed it California. Sir Isaac Newton said that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, Japan is the action so where and more importantly when is the reaction

I think your missing the point a little.

It's well known that certain animals do seem to have a habit of acting out abnormal behaviour patterns just before an earthquake.
The problem comes when man tries to interpret this behaviour.
As yet no one has yet been able to translate this behaviour into anything meaningful in terms of earthquake predictions......If they had then they would be famous by now.......and no doubt in great demand the world over.

Also generally animals have been observed acting strangely only hours at most before the earthquake event......not days or weeks before.

So it's not a case of not believing animals can possibly detect earthquakes before man can, but it is more how we can more readily recognise the signs and we can use this to best advantage.
Currently, as the Japan quake illustrates.........even those that observe the "signs".......couldn't do much to predict the Japan quake.

Wow, I come back from sleeping and work and this thread blew up quite a bit!

Thank you everyone for all of your replies and feedback... it's like an artist working with one color paint... sure, you can paint a picture that is beautiful, but it's so much better when you add color! You all are the color in my palette... some dark, some bright, but it all ends up being well received.

From what I'm hearing from a lot of you, we're all experiencing similar things, and the majority of us that are experiencing the most similarities at the same time are along the west coast of the US. I feel this should be studied a bit more closely and observed further.

I understand that there are logical explanations for the bees... and the fish.... and the quakes... but nobody has offered a logical explanation for them all happening at the same time. It is not coincidence, because coincidence does not mesh with statistics, and statistically, the odds of so many people experience these things in a generalized area over the same period of time is off the charts. An anomaly is one things, like the fish, or a quake, or some dead bees... but those kinds of anomalies don't present themselves at the same time. When you include the solar flares, the magnetic field disturbances, the civil unrest and the strange things such as rumbling from the sky, there is absolutely ZERO doubt in my mind that we are experiencing something unique.

Not every single little thing is a "sign" of something bad to come, but we definitely need to be aware, especially in light of the current events around the world. I hope this thread isn't one that gets looked back on and we wish there was something we could have done when we could be doing it now.

I have been reading this thread with keen interest as where I live in Cape Town, 2 days ago the No 1 Koeberg Nuclear Reactor was shut down cited as maintenance.

afrikaner-genocide-achives.blogspot.com...

I walked into the dining room tonight and a bee had landed on the table and having read the opening thread at ATS I thought I’d watch this bee carefully . I was very distressed to note that the bee went into what would appear to be severe convulsions, at first cleaning its front feelers, then resulting in bodily convulsions and then death. This took place in 5 minutes.
I must add that these Koeberg Reactors lie right along a fault line in South Africa.
There have been a “swarm “ of mini earthquakes in The Augrabies region of South Africa that have been kept quiet up until now.

I know this is for CA, and I'm in WA - but I saw a few others in WA mentioning the feeling of movement/shaking the last couple of days and decided to reply. I already posted most of it in another thread (What might really be happening in Washington state?) regarding the last few days of feeling movements/shaking myself.

Also my two cats have been really bizarre, and I've been getting headaches, pressure, etc. It's mostly in the other thread, and I don't want to repost it all, but I wanted to have it added to this discussion as well. I was really wondering why I was feeling shaking/swaying and thought it was my imagination until I saw more than 1 person located in WA mention it independent of me.

I'm in SoCal and today I am experiencing a headache that is only increasng in intesity as well as having an intense pressure shift and ringing in my ears. I don't discount it could be allergies, but thought I'd throw it out to see if anyone else is experiencing the same.

This may only be a coincidence due to the fact I live in Louisiana but on the day of the Japan quake, my girlfriend and my roommates cell phone just quit working. Every time they turn there phone on, it takes about 30 seconds and then it shuts off. It does that every time you turn it on. I just find it weird that two people I know have cell phone problems on the day of the quake.

Hello I haven't been here long but have read quite a few threads here. I have not noticed anything in my area at all (northern Minnesota). But since I read Trueamerican's prediction post about Japan I've been doing a bit of looking into all things. Well watching Fox Business last night I saw a video from Jim Berkland. I did not remember his name till someone mentioned it ini this post earlier. Here it is.

Well got curious about him so I go to check him out a bit and I got this.

Went to the forum and looked at predictions and found this that was posted 3/12

Just wanted to show some little findings that I found and what you all think also would have created my own thread but I cannot as I don't have 20 posts yet. Sorry if OT kinda

I just listened to Jim Berkland on the Michael Savage show on the way home from work... very interesting to say the least.

He mentioned that humans and animals have magnetite in their bodies, and it gets stored just above the pineal gland, in the same place where Hindu women mark their foreheads with a red dot... I thought this was fascinating considering that for animals, this is what helps them with their "guidance" and alignment with the magnetic field of the earth and for humans, the pineal gland is where dreams and '___' originate from. He is an ex-USGS official of 21 years and seems to be strongly convinced of the relationship between the moon and quakes. He also believes that animals hold a key to understanding the signs of a quake. Someone else said animals act strange only hours before a quake... this is not true and Mr. Berkland claims that there are geo-magnetic disturbances that occur leading up to a quake which animals detect and which make them uncomfortable enough to act differently.

Fascinating stuff for sure.... thanks for the link, I'm going to check him out a bit more. Everything he is saying are things I've also been inquiring about with people and have observed personally so it doesn't sound like his assertions are totally unreasonable. Star for you!

I honestly don't see what the point of this thread is. You have a few things happen that are out of the ordinary to you and by some stretch are linking them together as part of a larger scenario of something "big happening". Each of these things can easily be explained away as natural occurences.

There is not any greater die off of animal life than at other periods in history it is just that people are more better to gather evidence of it and report it than has been so in the past but there has been greater die off's in the past than what we are seeing here...it's just natural. It happens.

There will be a big earthquake eventually in California but as far as predicting it that is impossible so really what is your point of this thread? I don't believe we are anywhere close to an end time scenario but if I wanted I could easily find 100 things that look abnormal with the environment and piece them together and come on Ats claiming that something is up.

Usually people who've gone through enough schooling for a masters degree are a little more logical about these things.

I have noticed something as well.. I live on the southern side on Lake Ontario in New York and the past few days i have been seeing smaller groups( maybe 10 in a group) of geese flying every which-way. I first noticed it when i saw some flying north and thought, "Well hey isn't that nice? spring is here". The following day and a few after leading up until today, i saw some flying back south. What purpose would they have for flying south if their natural migration is to fly north? i have lived in this exact town for the past 19 years. I have never seen a single goose fly south once i saw them fly north for the first time. Strange coincidences...

OK, maybe I owe the OP an apology, well sort-of. I did not believe the bees that were careened by the Wife going 50 mph had simply just "fallen". I probably still don't, but this thread has a bit more credence to it based on what others are saying.

I currently have a hive residing in the walls of the house I am living at. I find dead bees on a daily basis because it is winter and the Hive cannot support bees for very long, so the inevitable happens as the new bees are coming out of the combs.

I don't mean to discredit the bee part, but didn't Northern California just have a late Winter cold snap whereby there were over 50,000 customers without power for a bit? I thought I just read that?

However, what strikes me is the cell phone reception, the feeling of movement, and all the pet stories. So I would have to say that California may be tightening up a bit and the stress is expressing itself.

What I can note for myself is that I do live on a lake and yesterday all the ducks disappeared. They either disappeared or they never reappeared since the ducks here never spend the night. It seems odd to me not hearing them out there on the lake. I realize that they may have all finally migrated North, but I am just at odds with how it sounds after so many months of having thousands upon thousands of ducks here every day.

I did get stung today, by what I don't know but something crawled up my pant-leg and stung me, the pain ran through my leg all day long. Probably a bee or a wasp by the feel of it! Probably it was giving me a "leg-up" on what is going on!

Hard to tell. I was impressed with reports that the Japanese disaster kits included helmets and flashlights and they set about combing through the rubble for survivors right away.

It appears that frogs can tell of quakes days ahead of time...www.frog-garden.com...

Strange fact - the common toad can predict earthquakes. It has an uncanny ability to predict earthquakes several days before they occur, according to a remarkable study that documents for the first time an extraordinary "supersense" in wild animals. Scientists studying a colony of breeding toads living in an Italian lake found that they suddenly disappeared five days before a huge earthquake struck the town of L'Aquila in central Italy in the early hours of 6 April 2009. Most remarkably, L'Aquila is 74km (46 miles) from the lake. The toad researchers in this location believe there is no explanation other than the fact that the toads must have been able to detect some changes in their environment. Within days of the earthquake, the toads had returned to their breeding pool to continue spawning.

When the animals go away or "disappear" in anticipation of an earthquake or other natural disaster, where do they go? If they leave one area they must be arriving somewhere else. One would expect people to notice a sudden increase in their numbers at the places they go to. I have heard of them "going away" but have not heard their numbers increasing somewhere else? Has anyone?

I can't find a source right now, so this may mean little, but I would like to add that the bigger in magnitude the EQ has been, the earlier the animals began behaving oddly. This makes sense if you consider it should take longer for the energy to build up than it would for smaller quakes.

Regarding the bees..I did want to mention one more thing. Last weekend, my son and I went to the San Diego Zoo where we have season passes. We often visit the little bug zoo located in the Children's Zoo section. The bug zoo is housed inside a small building, and is complete with an entire beehive which has access to the outdoors through a slim plexiglass tube. The entire hive is visible from several sides, all encased in a plexiglass fixture. It is normal for us to visit this area often. I was quite disturbed this past weekend to notice at least a few dozen dead bees littering the tube that leads to the outside. The entering and exiting honeybees were struggling to walk over and around their dead comrades. All of the deceased appeared to have their stingers intact from what I could tell. I mentioned the dead bees to the attendant, asking if it was normal. He seemed very alarmed and rushed over to look. He shook his head, confused and said he would "check it out"..not sure what had happened but found it very odd.
