I sure hope these events aren't shedding light on some vivid dreams I've been having lately. I dreamed I was taken underground by a goddess where, among other things, I did battle with a very odd "thing" that looked a little like magma and fire. I couldn't destroy it. It rose to the surface. I couldn't stop it. I hope it isn't about volcanic activity but sometimes it turns out that subsequent events shed light on the meanings of my dreams.

OK, sorry about the delay, my 90 year old Mother needed some assistance.

I am listening to the sounds now and I am about 3/4 the way through. There is no local activity at all.

There are many distant quakes - you can tell by the tone of them. What I am going to do is put up the raw file and one which has been processed, and then one without the 8.9 since I cannot magnify the smaller stuff with that one in the frame.

I haven't looked at the timings yet but that 8.9 may have gone round the world 4 times from what I can hear.

The raw file is 7.9MB as is the 8000Hz Low Pass filtered version. The raw file is 1000Hz or 10 x speed. The 8000Hz is 80 times speed. You probably won't hear anything on the 1000Hz and that is a sure indication that these are distant signals. The 80x is around 8 minutes so 64 minutes for the raw data. This was taken from 05:00 UTC onwards.

Yellowstone's activity has been occurring before the Japan Earthquake. The USGS has already been studying the activity. The above link to National Geographic details their findings.

Earthquakes and erruptions at yellowstone does not necessarily mean that all of Yellowstone will explode as it has been put so eloquently on display in the 2012 movie.

There isn't anything of significance going on at Yellowstone locally, the seismos were misread by OP.

You dont think it is at all possible that a government operated station would hold back on the "drama" as you put it in order to keep people calm? Is that totally out of the realm of possibility? because they wouild never lie or mislead us right? I'm not trying to say you are wrong because you may not be but i think your being a jerk coming in here and taking a dump on someones hard work tryig to convey information to people that are concerned about the subject.

Despite the fact that those look like BIG quakes - and they are - they are not local. This sound file is at 40 x speed and of that section above. This is faster than I normally run these for local quakes since they sound good at 2000Hz and even 1000Hz. Local quakes should be more of a 'pop' at this speed. At best there is one which might be local.

I believe that makes me a bit more than pseudo. I agree I am not USGS OK but I am not just someone who knows nothing.

I didn't mention your credentials, I said some people on this thread seem to view you as a pseudo guru, ie they would listen to you before others including the pros at the likes of USGS.

Nothing further to add to that after analysing with the other software. Basically it is the same and as I said at best 1 local quake.
