No major earthquake activity:

I haven't had the time to document every single Tremor but i can say with truth and certainty that my family and I have been feeling them and for some reason their data is not being reported. At this point why would anyone want to be dishonest about it? This is why I hardly come here and bother to report them to begin with. This morning my husb. Is ready to pack it in and go. He is a huge skeptic as it is and for him to say he is scared is huge to me.

I can understand how the American members on here are concerned about their futures if Yellowstone erupts but I hope you all realise that that the devestation will be felt around the earth far from American shores. Depending on how much debris was/is thrown into the upper atmosphere it could very well spell the end of life on this planet. Nuclear winter, nothing would survive... It could be a global killer.

Maps or graphs are immaterial to me for the past month since I started to note that not all quakes are being reported. I would like to know why that is and coming up with zero answers.

Mom in law just off the phone with my husband states they felt mild shaking around 2 am. She is in the bitterroot mtns we seem to notice that when we feel tremors here she feels them sometimes there.

I was on the US Northern Command Website looking for news, they would be the first one to know if anything happened about yellowstone; them and the USGS.

Thunder heart woman, I have no problem believing that you are feeling quakes that are not being listed with the USGS. Over on the Arkansas swarm thread, this has been discussed many times. There are members in that area that are feeling EQs & seeing them on the seismos and they are never list.

Here is a link to one of the pages that it has been discussed on.

I hope things settle down for you soon.

I am not trying to step on any toes here, or discredit the OP, I believe that he is very sincere in his worry, but I think that this is just a lot of world wide aftershock effect. generally when you have a quake as big asa Japan did, you get after effects from the other faults and various areas that see seismic activity.

Unless there is an overwhelming number of fairly decent sized quakes throughout yellowstone within the next 24-48 hours, I myself would just chalk it up to being a case of earth size heartburn.

Just my 2 cents worth

Ok, I think after looking at this activity more, much of it now appears to teleseismic. But I am not sure on that. Man, too bad PuterMan is asleep- boy is HE gonna get a rude awakening.

Yup he did, but he went out to get computer bits first so did not see this until a short while ago.

I concur with the teleseisms. I see nothing in the park that looks like local activity. That is one huge amount of energy bouncing around over there is Japan, with a 6.7 a while ago so that sort of size will show for sure.

As long as Old Faithful is still old and faithful, and isn't spouting geysers of lava instead of water/steam, we should all be okay.

If yellowstone blows, you'll be screwed no matter where you go. The whole planet would go into nuclear winter, or so the speculation states.

Seismologists seem to be agreeing with the OP. BBC has a scientist on that is reporting this could trigger an even more massive quake at San Andreas. The Today show said the same thing.

There was also an odd Earthquake in Oklahoma this morning. Not unique, but at least rare, and fairly large for the area.

I haven't seen Yellowstone mentioned, but apparently seismologists are concerned about a larger quake following this one.

Well PM, you aren't the one who's been up watching GEE all night, very closely- I know what have seen. Not all of that is teleseismic, and we have confirmation in thread of felt tremors close to Yellowstone.

But we can agree to disagree- hey, you and me have been there before. And we're still here.

On another note, if none of you have been following the other thread, you might want to take a look for more comments and screenshots of the big one and more- starting- right about there:

Agreed. Tell me which station and I will pull the data and listen. It will be very easy to tell from that if the seisms are local or not.

I'm not sure if this is mentioned but everytime something #ed happens in the ecosystem I turn to HAARP just to be sure the USAF aren't #in with the system. This morning since what I can figure is 7AM PST HAARP has been active and is still going....

Are we seeing a false flag operation here on a grand scale (again)??

Great work on tracking the Earthquakes guys, love reading your info! Keep it up!

That might be asking a little much. I have literally seen like 2,000 bumps on my screen, and am half asleep by now after all this. I really wouldn't know where to point you. But how about pulling MCID, and YML for starters. Seem some came from MCID direction. Not sure. And I stress: I am not sure.
