LOL, I think "genuine concern" is a little unneccessary. Lots of people over the years have seen without prompting, an anomaly in the picture. I don't know what it is, or if indeed it is anything, which is why I posted the pic.
Perhaps you should utilise your "concern" somewhere where it is actually needed.

Ha ha ha took me a minute but I see it. More then a bearded face it looks to me you can see his legs too. The others are more vague. Cool photo.

In esoterica the etheric world is part of the physical but is not visible to us generally, we are all encased in an etheric body including the earth etc. It is the the first layer of the physical plane. This is where the fairies and gnomes etc reside. In eastern philosophies called devas (pronounced devies) They are the builders and manipulators of matter and elements. At some point in human evolution they will become more visible to us as we learn to direct them but can be learned to be seen like auras.

To see your etheric body get a piece of white or light paper and hold your thumbs or fore fingers facing the tips at each other in front of it. About 1/8 to 1/4 inch apart. Look at the gap for a minute or so and you will see a hue around the fingers eventually, often a light blue. This is your etheric body.

Wow people keep making copy's of the pic and pointing out the middle.

It is exactly opposite the guy in the pic, and it is about and inch wide orange you can measure how tall it is from the boys lip to his shirt pocket.

I don't know if it's relevant to tell you that the person people saying is young/a boy would have been in his late 20s when the pic was taken, maybe he looks short in it but his is of average height.

I could be wrong, I am open to that possibility.

But I am afraid we are most likely looking at grass.

I cannot see anything detailed even remotely resembling a gnome.

To have a veritable case we need something specific and clear-cut. Chasing gnomes in the grass is going to leave us empty handed and confused.

Saw the gnome...and a mushroom that stands out like a sore thumb
at the bottom of the picture with a pointy hat behind it. Look to the right and there
also appears to be a "grumpy" looking troll like critter as well.

Maybe it is the mind playing tricks...but, isn't it just as possible such things can be
seen if they choose to be?

Thanks for sharing the pic...

How nice someone has genuine concern, you dont get much of that these days!
The "gnome" photo was taken 38 years ago, it was when we were putting pics into an album that we noticed something strange about the image. We had a friend who was a semi proffesional photographer so took the original picture and the negative to him. We thought that it was some sort of fault with the camera. However his view was that whatever was on the photograph was in shot at the time it was taken. As we said we went back to look for a logical explaination, we found nothing in the field to account for the figure. I believe it was gnome who was not pleased that one or two in the group chased butterflies. As the field in question was in Warickshire it does not really surprise me that gnomes were about, make of that and the photo what you will.

There is nothing in the photo. If you say there is then I will say there is Jesus in the photo too because it would be just as much rubbish.

Found him!

You know he took awhile to find but all be damned he's there!

Sorry, but you knew somebody was gonna bring Waldo in didn't you? In all honesty I couldn't see anything in the original photo.

Was your family on any kind of drugs around the time the photo was taken?

Oh please take it easy, some people see it, some don't so what. No one is chastising anyone for not seeing it so why chastise those who do? Maybe its is light or mind tricks, maybe not, who cares? it is a fun thread never the less.

I fail to see how stirring up the excitement of some with certain issues, trying to get them to see something that isn't there is "fun".

Well then you are free to ignore it then and go to where you think there is some fun, or at least a thread you would enjoy reading, now aren't you?

Yes, you are right. I am also free to find a photo with nothing but a person and some grass in it and post it on this site and say in the title that there is something in like, perhaps a fairy or gnome, and all the suckers will reply how they can see it too.

I guess now I can see why you think this is fun.

Personal Disclosure:
That the OP'er saw a gnome is just happenstance!

But that many also see it is just coincedence and coincedental!

And yet there is also a spade/shovel clearly visible!

MUST DIG DEEPER!

Why didnt you say where you saw it?

I see nothing. The top right hand corner thing looks like a discoloration, not something in the photo. There are lots of little specs and other things due to the age of the photo, and perhaps how it was processed, but I dont see anything that I would say looks like a gnome.

Gnomes don't exist and even if they did there are no gnomes / elves / leprecauns / fairies / trolls / hobbits /little people or dwarfs in this picture.

All I can see is a random guy , some very poor camera work and a sh*tload of grass.

I saw the face right away and while I can make myself see other images that one stands out to me. I wonder if it was some sort of overlay that could have happened during the development of the film? ....like maybe a left over from another picture? Not sure how all that works, but it just reminded me of a double exposed picture on the good old 35 mm film.

....or of course, it is a gnome

Cool pic anyway!
